Happy Birthday, dear Tillie! Oh I love that sparkling cider. I will pick up a bottle before New Years and will toast you!
This way, you have someone to share it with, yet you won't have to share.
My desk looks beautiful with my new lamp on it. Not sure what else I'll put on it. I do work at this desk three days a week so I can have things on the sides. Right now it just looks so pretty. I put my beautiful new lamp on a vintage silver tray and a glass bird on the tray with it. Stunning.
Let's see what I can do with the coffee table. Shall I start by dealing with the papers? Good idea!
Much holiday love to all.

Good Morning everybody :) 11:30am here, still morning.
Hi Tatoulia :) Hoping you had a wonderful time! (((hugs))) Having a photo or mental image of what we want a space to look like is a great way to stay motivated and makes it a fun challenge getting there. ;)
Hi LR2014 :) Hope you had a wonderful Holiday (((hugs))) :D
Decided this year that I would take several days to just kick back and enjoy my birthday. Been celebrating it since the 23rd and will continue through to Monday. Good news is... I do not have to share my Martinelli's sparkling cider with any body. Bad news is... there is nobody to share my Martinelli's with. Plus I get to eat all my homemade chocolate cupcakes all by myself. Oh Well......... Anyways, the high for today will be 29 degrees. Not planning on going anywhere. The stores will all be insane with all the after Christmas shoppers loading up on holiday stuff at half off prices. Also, I don't need anything right now since I laid in a supply of essentials to get us through to the end of next week.
Wishing you all a peaceful and safe weekend. :)

Barb, Tat, Tillie, LR and all others, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and I hope you are making some fun and/or relaxation for yourself.
I took a rain check on Christmas so I'll take my bro out for dinner sometime, instead. Just too tired, time going by too fast!
Don't worry, be happy.

Wishing for Peace on Earth.
Have a picture of how I want my desk to look. That means I will be putting away some treasures to de litter it and make it look the way I want my whole house to look. Will do tomorrow, Christmas Day.
Although past 11 here on the East Coast (and nearly 70 degrees), we have another stop to make so we are heading out for a few more moments of cheer.

Hi :)
Been a busy day here today. Marty (the cat) went to the veterinarian this morning. Came home with pain medicine and an appointment for blood work next Monday. He needs some dental surgery. :( This afternoon my friend came by and we had a nice little visit. She always disobeys my "no gifts" rule, she tells me the gifts are from her cats and dogs who I always baby sit. She always knows what I like and gave me lavender potpourri and a lavender scented candle. Earlier today the snow flakes were tiny and swirling all around in different directions. Then the snow flakes got very big and fluffy and quickly covered everything. It was beautiful. :D

Good Morning Everybody! :)
Hi Barb :) Happy you have found a method that is working for you. :D Everybody responds differently to different plans/schedules/methods and that's why there are so many different "How To" books/websites/videos available today.
Hi Tatoulia :) WAY TO GO! for taking the time to take care of your self and washing your hair. For me, getting myself cleaned up always improves my self esteem. Bet making the ginger bread house was fun. I have never made one. Wishing you a wonderful time tomorrow evening. (((hugs)))
Slept in today. Felt good sleeping till I was no longer tired. Not even 10:00am yet and I have all my daily tasks completed. Cats are fed, litter boxes scooped, bed made, floor swept, etc. For the Winter Solstice celebration I put out treats around the evergreen tree for all the creatures that visit my garden. Then the cats and I watched as they all came to eat.
Wishing you all and the whole world peace. (((hugs))

Hello everyone!
Great to hear from you Tillie and Roxie! Thank you for making me realize what I've been missing. hello Barb!
Well tonight I was at my mother's, who is just out of the hospital. I helped pick up a little and did some laundry for her. I also finished our gingerbread house.
What was bugging me most tonight was how dirty my hair is, so I washed it. i haven't been in the office all week due to situation with mom and I felt filthy and gross. I just got home and showered and washed my hair.
Yes, the house is the problem but that felt good,
Glad to see everyone. I will post again tomorrow. Need a few more groceries for Christmas Eve dinner and I've done no wrapping. I guess that's what tomorrow is for.
I'm cooking dinner Christmas Eve at brother's house. I'll have to clean his house first but there's no clutter and he will help. It's more just about sweeping and mopping. Won't be too tough.
Love to everyone! Let's get back on track! We can do this!

I haven't posted in a long while. Hope everyone is doing well. I recently joined this Facebook group. It is really helpful after you have done the initial decluttering blitz and want to keep at it. There is a calendar that breaks everything down in daily 15 min. blocks. It helps you get unstuck if you start to get bogged down.https://www.facebook.com/groups/declutter365/ Merry Christmas! Barb

HAPPY 1st. DAY OF WINTER! :)
Hi Tatoulia! :D Great to "see" you today, we all really missed you! Remember, start with doing one small quick do-able thing. Pick the one thing that is bugging you the most. (((hugs))) :)
Hi Roxie :) Thank you (((hugs))) Green tea with lemon "CLINK!" So true about this season being more difficult for many.
Well..... today I got up and cleaned the heck out of this house. Did stuff like even wiping out under both sinks, bathroom and kitchen. So glad this house is very small when I have to clean it. Just made up some creamed chicken and cauliflower and will clean the kitchen after I have taken this little break. Wind is really blowing hard and another winter storm is on it's way. Need to do some laundry but will have to wait till I can hang it outside. OK, break time is over, time to do the kitchen.

(((Tillie))) Good for you on getting some progress from Mr. T. I appreciate so much your faithfulness to posting here.
(((Tat))) Good to hear from you. How can we help you get back on track (and I know what you mean, some guilt here, too)? Maybe come here once daily to at least post any little thing you've accomplished or plan to? Remember that the holiday season is difficult for a lot of people. Is it for you? Hugs
Brewing coffee for my very late arising. Plan to not do much for the rest of the day, anyway. I still have a few hand laundry items to do, and now a couple checks to write. Why does this little bit of work to be done tire me just thinking about it?!

Hi :)
Without prompting or bloodshed he filled the truck with garbage and delivered it to the dump place. His truck is not very big, a Ranger with a low camper shell, but it was stuffed full. I think he too was tired of trying to walk through all the garbage in the driveway. There is still a lot of garbage here but it is a little bit better now. We are over run with mice and will never get rid of them as long as they are happy living here. Fortunately, I have successfully blocked all their entry points to the inside of the house and keep a close eye out for any intruders. ;)

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY! :)
Hi Roxie :D WAY TO GO! for all you are keeping up with! :D "Clink!" tea toast. ;) Minnesota, my Hoarder's people all come from there and there are still lots of his cousins there too. Small, small world...........
My head has been in a different place lately. At the end of this month I turn 62 years old and have been thinking about how now that I am older I need to think more about the future. Took a nice drive through the county. Love seeing all the fields, pastures, cows, horses and wildlife. Saw Golden Eagles sunning themselves in oak trees! :D Working on another battle in this war about the hoarded conditions here. He has been amassing tons of garbage. Refusing to take it to the dump. It is just garbage. Household trash, used kitty litter, empty food packaging, etc... Today is the day! He knows the plan and the plan is to gather up a truck full and drive it to the dump transfer station. It only costs 5.00 a truck full and the place is not very far away from here. Wish me luck. :)

So, where the heck is everybody? I miss the good old days when folks were here every day, as I used to be.
I paid a couple bills, got more laundry down the chute, and refilled oxygen tanks, plus bagged up two more bags of donation books.
Sunny day finally and VERY cold!

Hi, Anony, Karl and Tillie. I cannot believe it's been so many days since I checked in. Sorry.
I got some laundry into the laundry shute (shoot?), rounded up two more bags of books to go to brother, paid a bill or two Not much else. Had a couple bad days, but so far today is okay.
Karl, I'm at my brother's place in Minnesota. Yea, the weather is not so great as Arkansas weather, but at least there is someone here to help me and I can see a few other relatives. No snow today, just overcast.

Good Morning Everybody :)
Hi Karl :) Wishing you a wonderful time this holiday season. Please do check in and let us know what you are up to. :D
Got the sound system working and all the dust cleaned up back there. :D Also, finally got him to remove lots of wires that were redundant and some weren't even attached to anything. Been trying to get him to release all that wire and useless component clutter since last century. Have a wash load of laundry out on the clothes line. Rags, rugs and a cat blanket that was severely vomited on. :( The wind is raging and bitterly cold but that stuff should dry before the next storm arrives. Planning to spend the rest of today just puttering around doing whatever.

Good Morning :)
Hi Anonymoniker :) One of the biggest reasons I moved here from Tucson is because I wanted more snow in my life. The snowfall in Tucson is rare and never lasts long enough. Hope your day in was cozy and fun. :D
Hi Karl :) Where are you going? Hoping you have a great time. Good luck with the perishables. See you when you get back. :D
Yesterday I saw a lot of wild horses! :D Saw a lot of domesticated horses too out in pastures and some saddled up & ridden. Need to figure out how to wire up my new Blu-ray player to get the audio to come through the stereo system today. Good opportunity to also vacuum up all the dust that collects in all the wires behind the electronics. The grocery shopping was successful and I was able to restock my pantry with lots of nice things. Before making the long trip back home, I stopped at Burger King and got a chocolate milk shake and onion rings. First time I got to eat out since that wedding I attended this past summer. :D

Hey Tillie?! Its sounds like it could be a fun adventure today! Certainly something different?! I bet itll be beautiful in the snow?! Ive found that when i get out of my area for the day it shifts my perspective in a good way. Hopefully it will do that for you, plus y'all will have fun seeing the snow & going somewhere together! Today were gonna stay inside & watch movies & be cozy & not get any yard work accomplished or anything! Its gonna be really cold here, too!

Good Morning :)
I had a nice little break from life. :) Feeling much better now. Tomorrow he wants us to travel all the way to Carson City to shop at the better stores. It's snowing but "Oh Well". It will be nice to grocery shop with a better selection of items and much lower prices. Also, my Blu-ray player is malfunctioning and will no longer stream Netflix. He said we will buy a new one in Carson City. The one I have was bought used here at the pawn shop for 25.00 years ago and I got my money's worth out of it. Anyways... today I will get the car ready with blankets, extra dry clothes/shoes, water, windshield wiper fluid, ice scrapers, tire snow cables, emergency kits and all the other things you need to carry with you when you venture out into snow storms here in the shadow of the Sierra Nevadas.
Miss hearing from you all :(

Good Morning Everyone :)
Hi Karl :) Great that you have a car for a few days! A closer and less expensive unit would be wonderful. Just make sure it is as secure as this current one has been. The cheaper units around here don't have fencing or gates or onsite managers and they tend to get broken into an awful lot.
Have a severe tension headache since yesterday morning from worry about that dental appt. Everything went well and I was out of there within an hour. Hoping the headache will go away soon. Pretty much planning to do nothing much the rest of this week.
Anybody planning or doing anything special or fun? :)
Karl

I have a car to use for a few days. I drove to my storage unit and dropped off some tax records, and some equipment that I'm not ready to throw out but won't need within the next couple of months. That's a slight dent in stuff I'll need to deal with on moving day. I also contacted a rival storage place and found that could get something considerably cheaper, and also close enough to my new home that I'd be able to visit it regularly for further cleanup. This now sounds like it's worth pursuing (after the move).

Hi Everybody :D
Hi Anonymoniker :) WAY TO GO!!!! getting the washer & dryer hooked up! :D Wish I had a dryer just to help get some of the cat hair off stuff. I get tired of always being fuzzy. LOL :D
These last few days have been busy ones for me. I really wanted to meet the challenges I set out. Been sifting through everything looking for stuff to donate. My brain is frazzled from all the decision making. Even though I am not a hoarder I really do understand how hard and exhausting it is to make decision after decision about what to keep and what to let go. Knowing that the places my donations are going and all the good work they do for animals and people in my community makes it easier to let more things go than I originally planned. I am physically and mentally tired but I feel good, happy, content. Tomorrow I go back to the dentist to have the last few restorations done. Then I will be all done with the dentist till my next cleaning. YEA!!! :D
Hope you all are well and doing fine. (((hugs)))

'freeze drying' ha ha Tillie you are hilarious! I often have to do that, too! Id never thought of that term, tho! ha ha Today im having my washer & dryer worked on getting them hooked up. They will be outside under the awning, but at least ill be able fo do entire loads at once, instead of a few articles at a time in a bucket. Also, the dryer takes lint out, whereas on the line, time after time, the lint accumulates! I hope you all have a fun, productive day! :D

Hi Karl :) Sorry you have to move again but ecstatic that you already have some place lined up. Maybe one of those small dorm room fridges is in your future?
Got up and running early today. Did a LOT of socializing and dropped off some donations at the charity thrift shop. Then got a few groceries. I'm exhausted but had a really great day. :D

My rental here is terminating, but, I've just been accepted as tenant at a new place, starting in January.
Good parts: My new space is both cheaper and larger. Professional cleaners will come in twice a month. Bad parts: Sharing with three other people instead of two. I haven't met them yet. Fridge in particular will be shared four ways, where currently I have one all to myself.

Good Morning Everyone :)
Hi Roxie :) "Clink!" Good luck with your plans.
Got three loads of laundry out freeze drying on the clothes line. Supposed to get all the way up to forty degrees today. Since I have decided that I will no longer cook or bake large amounts of foods any more I have been reevaluating my pots, pans and baking dishes. Found some mixing bowls that can go away too. The larger fancy serving dishes can also leave. This all makes me very, very happy! :D
The cottontail bunny still hangs out in my garden. Even in the dark freezing hours of the night I can see him there, nibbling on frozen grass. Makes me wish I could bring him inside and give him a warm bed to sleep in. :)

Just a quick "hi" so you know I'm still here. Got meds ordered and picked up yesterday. I cannot believe it is already December. I have been here at my brother's house for a year! yikes!
I need to send in another address change thing to the post office since this one has expired. I need to clear some of this paperwork off "my space" at this table where my computer is.
We went and got me some more books after donating a couple bags of them at Goodwill. I also picked up a nice zip sweatshirt in black. I dress in layers, especially in colder weather.
Good to see others posting. :::clink::::

Hi Everybody :)
Getting ready to go outside and start burning stuff. Just waiting for the frost to melt before I venture out. Have a bunch of branches and household paper stuff that I've been keeping dry under a tarp. I have two barrels to burn stuff in and they each have a metal grate I place over the top. It really is fun to watch the fire consume all the paper clutter and remove it forever from my life. :D

Good Morning Everybody :)
I spent Thursday alone, except for all the cats here. Made myself a corned beef sandwich with pickles on the side. Ate two pieces of my pumpkin pie and watched Netflix all day. He spent the day ignoring me, kept to his bedroom and didn't say even one word to me all day. He received no pie. Friday I went to the charity thrift shop because they were having a big event. Door prize drawings and a special drawing at the register where you had the chance of getting 75% off your total purchase. There were cookies & candies and people who I know all laughing and having a fun time together. I was one of the lucky shoppers who drew the 75% off ticket and only had to pay 3.12 for my purchase! :D I had a GREAT time. Will let you know if I win any of the other drawings I entered. Was back home by 11:00am. Had some company drop by in the afternoon. Nice happy visit! :D Was tired and went to bed early but happy & content.

I slept most of today (Friday) and was still tired when I got up. On Thanksgiving my bro and I went to Perkins for a turkey dinner. Easy, quick and no mess to clean up. He made soup today with leftovers+ He said he felt like he was on the cooking show where you open a surprise basket and make something good. lol

No, using a different device wouldn't have helped. Internet service is what was having problems -- AT&T seemed to think that the account needed attention; perhaps my housemate was late in paying the bill. It's back now (after six days out), but for future problems, I've been told that the grocery store has free WiFi, so that might sometimes be more convenient than using the library.

Karl, hope you can get your computer up and running again soon. It is soooo not okay when that happens.
Anony and Tillie, I'm enjoying your exchange. As for clothes, my main criterion is that they fit and are clean and not completely stupid looking. lol After that hospital/skilled nursing year, I feel lucky to have any clothes left. I like layers so I can adjust hot/cold as I go, and easy to put on things. No energy for frippery any more. hehe
Making my coffee now (premature clink) and will check my usual computer things like here. The Remeron I'm taking is making my fingers and mouth a bit numb/tingly. Not sure how long I'll give this one a try. :(
I did write out three checks and send them on, finally!
For Thanksgiving we'll find someplace open that we don't have to wait a long time to get into. If we can't I'll vote to pick up tv dinners or drive-throughs and be done with it. Can't sit or stand a long time anywhere to begin wth...
Hugs and coffee clinks to all.
