Hey

Lately some of the sentences were incomplete and then visible and so forth and so on.
Decided to try a new thread to see if that fixes it.

To not offend anybody with Triskaidekaphobia I made this phase 14.

See you soon 😉

Hello CriticalMass
GREAT that you are getting a good night's sleep!
Amazing how much difference that can make.

WTG! for doing laundry!

Wish your Frog would come here and eat the Cricket that chirps so loudly right outside my window all night.
Since it's been so hot even at night, the Cricket chirps very fast and constantly.

YEA! for your rain.
Jack and I were out watering the garden this evening and a few, very few, rain drops fell.
But the big dark clouds were nice and blocked the hot evening sun.

Since it's 8:35pm guess I could get ready for bed now.

SubC I just posted the picture I took of mom when she was on the patio last week! Thank you for calling her lovely. She really is.

Peeking in to see if there's a baby yet...

Been getting to bed earlier and noticed improved mood and even some productivity, so I'm sold for now. I kept staying up hoping I'd feel the satisfaction of getting something done, yet I was more piddling around than anything.

Did two loads of laundry yesterday. We got 1-1/2" of rain in the night. My frog croaked LOUDLY about it.

Happy Feast of St. Francis - give your furry friends an extra hug or two! 🐈🐐🐓🐕

SubC, praying for negative test results and for any symptoms, whatever they are, to just be GONE. 🙏 Will make a point to check in frequently for news how things come out. Hugs! 💞

We finished the bunny garage sale. Exhausting, but we made enough for several spays and neuters. And I did not take back a single thing. My van is loaded with donations. Roommate's new car has some in it that will add to mine because I can easily do it in one run.

I have several To Do list items coming up. You ladies know I shy away from formal challenge goals because my life & brain are too unpredictable and if I don't meet the goals I feel like I failed, and get embarrassed. My shame baggage from a lifetime of procrastination. 😛

But I know what I want to accomplish, I just don't want to jinx it by writing it down! 😁 Then when it is done I get bragging rights, which works better as a motivator for me. 😉

Later! Time to get ready for church. Found out yesterday we are getting ANOTHER different priest! Because our current one is needed for a large parish that had a sudden vacancy when theirs passed away. Well, it's 2020. Always something unexpected. It'll be okay.

That is my mom! She's with her dear cat who passed away last summer. Sweet little devoted cat. Thank you for looking at my pictures! Yes my building was painted as part of that big project we did. I think two summers ago! They did a good job restoring the brownstone.

Yay for the garbage !!! You are working really hard!!

Tillie!!! What a great day you had! Well done! I would absolutely love those pillowcases. They sound very sweet.

Other than mailing postcards, I didn't leave the house today. Too humid.

I did one load of unmentionables and one load of mentionables. Didn't change my sheets. Will do tomorrow.

I get to see mom for a few minutes tmr! And not this week but soon they are opening up the place so I can visit her, by appointment only, on her patio. So one step closer to the cat, but still so far away.

Love you all.

Good Morning Everyone

Hi Subclinical
How nice they came to visit!
Yes, it would feel weird having actual people right there after all this time in isolation.
Happy you had this time (((HUG)))

WTG! for riding and hiking!
Bet those brownies were delicious. 😉

Good luck with your jam and order making today.

I think a lot of parents are concerned about classroom school too.
So much we still don't know or understand yet.
A lot of 'wait and see".
But relieved you will still have enough to pay for things you need.

I think that if everybody wears face masks when inside together, keep their hands clean, this virus could be brought under control.
Too many people never thought before this just how badly we all spread germs to each other.

Yesterday I got my little patch of grass out front watered at about sundown.
Then showered & washed my hair.
Then did two loads of laundry and have it hanging out on the clothesline.
Soon as I finish posting I'll bring it in & fold & put it away.
Still need to take it easy but improving every day. 😀

Tillie, I needed to be scared into it! What a bother. I could've had my bathroom painted by now!

Tillie what is your one goal for October? I should go read back and find out!

SubC thank you for letting me know how you are doing. I wanted to mention how much I appreciated your letting me now about what your days at school look like.

I did two very small loads of laundry today, in addition to my errands earlier in the day. Tonight BF and I ran a few errands and I loaded upon juice. I want to have a good supply, in case I get sick or if Boston's rate continues to climb.

I had a good day. All the walking felt good. It was at prepandemic levels.

Tatoulia! Is that your mom? Is that your mom with the kitty? Your mom is lovely. ❤️

Also, did they paint your building?

CM, I love the flower and Barbie pictures. My favorite bunny is the sandy one.

Cleaned out my room today. Two full big trash bags and the back of my car is full of mostly stuff I need to sort through.

Good morning.
No baby.

Dd is now scheduled to be induced tomorrow, no more changes, (unless she goes into labor today) so by Thursday I should have news.

I picked more berries, did more work in the scullery, and started the jam yesterday, but then Dd and Dsil decided to come for dinner since we were all locked down, and I put the seeded pulp away in the fridge to finish today. It was good to see them, but kind of weird to have people in our house.

I won't start more chicks before school starts, but I may hatch some in my classroom, or another teacher might.

Rode the bike and took my walk yesterday. Dd brought brownies. My weight isn't budging.

Been communicating back and forth with my administration about class changes for fall. My schedule is taking a significant cut, but it's ok. My pay will be down about 30% even though I got a raise because I will have 1/3 fewer hours. I will still make the mortgage and a lot of my salary goes to optional things - there have been, and will continue to be, fewer optional things. Our enrollment is really down. I'm still pretty stressed about returning to the classroom and how much pushback there will be on masks.

Meanwhile, jam to make and order to creep toward....

Good Afternoon Everyone

Hi Subclinical
Good news there are no other symptoms.
Hoping you are having a relaxed and pleasant Saturday (((HUG)))

Hi Tatoulia
Sorry I scared you away posting 6 Badgers and one Skunk. 🙁

WAY TO GO! for ordering the paint!!!! 😀

Good luck finding what Miss Kitty needs.
My little girl one day decided she would no longer squat.
So I measured her hind end and did the math as to how high/tall a plastic storage bin filled with litter would need to be.
The plastic bin I got was translucent and it worked beautifully, she could see it was unoccupied before jumping in.

Pease do walk in the safer more scenic spots.
The sidewalk café areas sound dreadful, too crowded with no masks. 🙁

Good October goals you have 😀
I have only one goal right now.
Subclinical had her school to concentrate on. CriticalMass has all her plans.

Done nothing today so far.
I will go out and water the garden plants and Lilacs now.
Lots of white Chrysanthemum blooms and the rust color blooms are looking very promising.

Good Morning Everyone

Hi Subclinical
Your scullery counter sure is a very busy place where so many important things go until they are properly addressed.
WAY TO GO! for working on it! 😀

YEA!!! for biking and hiking!

Very glad Dh is out clearing your land of fallen trees and brambles.
Good for him to get that physical outlet and good it's making walking your property lines easier.

Yep, I know so few of my neighbor's names too.
Used to know the "Old-timers'" names but they have all died years ago.

When Steven's mother and her husband came here long time ago before they died
they were ragging on us to clear the property and put in a grass lawn.
We live in the DESERT. That would be a HUGE waste of water, water is precious here.
Plus the Wildlife would be impacted without their natural habitat.
They said we were just lazy, making excuses.

So sorry so many Chicks are posturing like Roosters. 🙁
Will you try growing another batch?

Today I need to tackle the kitchen.
Not many human dishes to wash, cat bowls mostly.
Still going to take it easy after that heat ordeal.
Do the necessary stuff and rest & eat.

Good Afternoon Everybody

CriticalMass
I soooooo want to hold and hug that big white Bunny!!! 😀
Those flowers are gorgeous.

I almost always take the lesser known/traveled back country roads.
Mainly anything to avoid that deadly highway.

WTG! Bunny boy for feeling better!
My sister had a horse that was always getting colic and those times were always stressful and painful to see the horse suffer.

Relieved you didn't have much going on there last night (((HUG)))

Stay safe and stay healthy 😀

Hi Tatoulia
Enjoy your little load of laundry 😀

It got hot here early but it's getting hotter still.

Got my water bottled filled.
The hospital auxiliary thrift shop was open,
only one car parked out front.
They request people wear face masks and have hand sanitizer placed all around.
I felt it was safe to be in there.
I had a BLAST!!! ;D
bought a 7 inch tall ceramic Tardis
a wonderful tea towel with Owls all over it
a pretty pink washcloth
two embroidered vintage pillow cases with crocheted trim.
a pretty white blouse
"The Revenant" DVD
A massive 3 wick scented pillar candle
a jar Yankee candle
Yankee votive candle
2 hand crafted tapers
another cinnamon scented jar candle

Was so much fun to do that and the social distancing was great.
Plus it was nice to talk to a few humans.
Last night Steven was ranting that I should pack heat when going into town which is ridiculous.
It is VERY peaceful out here.

I put the ceramic Tardis in my garden with the Chrysanthemums.

Good morning
No baby
They go this morning to decide wether to induce today or tomorrow.

I have still not made jam. I started clearing off the scullery counter and it us a much bigger, longer job that I thought because there are so many different mentally taxing things piled on it. I took a chunk of my day yesterday.

I almost caught up with the dishes and I picked beans and rode the bike and Dh and I took a walk.

Dh is doing a really nice job clearing downed trees, vines and invasives and opening up trails in the woods. He has found all the property lines and made it possible to walk very close to them. In the process he has had conversations with two of our neighbors who wanted reassurance that we were not clearing to build (Basically the same conversation both times - hey you, who are you what are you doing are you building?)

we never talk to our neighbors. As in, at the close of the first conversation (reassured that we were not building) the lady (Name unknown) thanked Dh again for our help clearing their driveway - 8 years ago. And after the close of the first ever and surprisingly lengthy conversation with the other neighbor - Dh reported to me that in the house live, at minimum, a couple and their adult son who just left an abusive gf and that the father worked for the company that originally built our bridge and helped on the construction. But that no names were offered. (Dh offered his) We have lived here for 17 years.

I am amused that the neighbors are so concerned about their privacy - I understand it. It is possibly the only thing we have in common - but apparently unlike me they have not learned that if you want privacy you do not clear to your own property line and put the yard in grass - no matter what the property next door looks like.

Tillie I am very glad you are cooled off and feeling better.

I don't know about the chicks. There is a way to sex them as day olds, but I don't know what to look for. Secondary characteristics show up later. I am concerned because an unfortunate number seem to be doing the rooster chest bump/flap challenge with each other. I can't remember seeing two hens do that....

Tell cowgirl kitty not to worry - things rarely leave the carport hoard.

Oh my goodness. Not the posts I wanted to see.

SubC I am praying for you and your family. I am so sorry you are going through this worry and upset and rash. Please keep us posted when you can. I am greatly concerned and sending you much love.

Cm I am hoping that you are doing better with migraines. I can see how the lights must've triggered you. How awful

Tillie, I am grateful you are getting some rest in. I am worried about your back. Very happy you can get the proper flu shot next week. My mother gets hers next week too. I haven't decided when I'll get mine.

I've been avoiding everyone since I hadn't ordered the bathroom paint. I ordered it today. It's called Light Blue (but not really blue) on the Farrow + Ball website. I'll need two coats of their primer and two coats of the paint. My bathroom is a dark red right now. I don't know why I picked that.

Kitty isn't doing the best with her litter box. She goes in it but the "results" are going everywhere. I bought her one of those big covered ones today. I have yet to wash it and see if it's something she'll use.

Going to run errands withBF in a while. We haven't done it because the battery in his car was dead. We tried jumping it with not a ton of success. He had battery replaced today.

I've done some walking today. I am trying desperately to to eat ice cream.

Boston's COVID rates are going up. I can. See why. Everywhere I walked today were people eating out and enjoying the beautiful weather. But it's still too much. Too crowded. The tables are on either side of the sidewalk and then us pedestrians are walking down the sidewalk and it is just too close for comfort. I'm getting ready to hunker down for the fall and winter. I'll walk at night when there are fewer people and I'll stick to the areas like the Christian Science Center, which is just so beautiful.

October Goals:

Reduce my stuff. Get my bathroom painted. Pull it together.

Great plans on the animals, CM! And yes, the side streets will be much less traveled. I hope you are getting your water Tillie. I believe it is humid today but I haven't opened a window so it's pleasant in here!

Doing one short load of unmentionables that then I will hang to try. I would like to do other laundry but don't want it to take over my day.

Hi Guys 😀

Feeling so much better!
Microwaved a piece of banquet chicken and ate it.
Been moving around. Feels so good to move.
The cats are perkier too.
Scooter shared my chicken with me.

The house is very dusty and the floors need sweeping & vacuuming.
But I won't worry about that today. 😀

Good morning.

Still feel fine, but the rash was a little itchy when I woke up this morning. Coffee fixed that. From the information that I can find, if I have corona, and I am going to have other symptoms, they should start showing up today.

Planning to spend the day on school and home/garden focused tasks.

Boy bunny is back on track, yay! He has had worse episodes than this. One thing I'm realizing is that he does take longer to come out of the episodes. But some of my bunnies in the past also did, I just remembered yesterday.

With this little guy it just requires patient nursing and diligent observation to do everything we can once he's back to normal to keep him balanced. I'm wondering if we can give him some probiotics - but the trick is getting them through the stomach acids to the intestines. Our bunny club gal had one trick I need to talk to her more about.

Congratulations SubC on the twins and that you got a nice girl baby to keep. 🙂

Tatoulia, yes, she is going to board the doggie because normally he would want to sleep on her bed and won't be able to, and some other reasons I can't recall. He will enjoy and get lots of exercise, too, so win win. We've been making sure he's up to date on shots for that.

The cats will have to make do with me. I pray they can also coexist peacefully with one another! And of course I'll be taking care of all bunnies and the fish as well.

I'm glad things were relatively peaceful in Boston. Wichita had some more trouble at that spot a couple miles from me but I have no need to go that way for an indefinite time. I can go to other library branches if I need the library.

The Newmarket Square shopping center and the Dillon's across had protestors but it was mostly peaceful. Around 10:00 there were rumblings but sounds like nothing major and people mostly dispersed by 11:00.

I am going to go that way cautiously, I think, in just awhile, since it's payday and I'd planned to. I'll have my list, get in get out, be aware of surroundings, etc.

One crazy advantage of being an agoraphobic driver: I have awareness of lots of side street routes for when the big streets are more trafficky than I like! So I can use that knowledge to my advantage in situations such as this.

But like I say, I'm not going to meander around like I might ordinarily. And I'll keep track of the time. This morning has been full of interruptions; I would've preferred to get away sooner, but I think I'll still have plenty of time.

I just checked on Facebook and saw that my childhood neighborhood friend, Sgt. Yarberry, has indeed retired from the police force. I'm relieved. Such an officer of integrity, and a good man. Don't want him to have served so long only for something bad to happen right before he could retire.

There's been so much news I haven't said as much lately about decluttering goals, only mentioning them in passing. But I do still have them and intend to pursue them! 😉

I put a big white bunny from the shelter and a few new flowers on IG to keep everyone's spirits up.

OK, if I'm going to do this, I better get going. I'll be sure and check back in when I get home.

Good Afternoon Everybody

Hi Subclinical
Yes, many kids would be completely nocturnal if they were allowed to be. 😉

WAY TO GO! for exercise bike, berry picking, animal chow and especially for all that clean laundry!

Glad the feed store has curb side pick up.

A big pot of jam cooking on the stove may entice the Baby ;D

Baby birds of all sorts are so cute and silly looking at that between stage.
And they look itchy with all their constant preening as the feathers grow out.

Do you know how many are hens?
I never sexed baby chicks so I don't know how long it takes before you can see the difference.

Slept over 10 hours.
I was/am exhausted from the heat ordeal.
The house is at 74F while outside at 2:00pm it's 105F in the shade today.
I think I could even cook a little food today.
Didn't cook when the house was too hot already.
I do not recommend the "hot house" diet.

The balloon is still trapped in the carport.
Cowgirl Kitty safely had her breakfast this morning. ;D

Good Evening Everyone

Been on self imposed bedrest today and it has really helped.
So far only took two pills for the pain.
Will take another one before I go to sleep.

Did do a wash load of my clothes and hung them to dry in my room.

Kitchen is a mess because I have been eating and that makes dirty dishes.
But I will get to it someday...

Good Morning

YEA! For the happy news Subclinical! 😀
May your Goat herd thrive and your Chickens stay off the Fox's menu.

Hi Tatoulia
Yes, remove those pics and keep the site full of happy positive sights.
I was very impressed that the areas were already so clean, just boarded up broken windows.

Most all day yesterday everywhere was huge crowds of peaceful people marching through the streets.
Happy you had your favorite officer stationed near you.
So many police taking a knee in support and doing gentle crowd control.
There were very moving speeches given by people in the crowds.
I am happy your Mom got to see the well behaved protest march and you were all safe.

I believe the news reporters were wanting to report more than just the peaceful protests and were looking hard for the agitators.
But I want us all to keep focus on the positive movement for change. 😀

Going to town to fill the water bottles before it gets up to 95 degrees today.

Good Morning
No baby.

Tillie, I'm crossing my fingers for the cooler. I was very glad to read that you are cool now!

It's supposed to be miserably hot here today. Not like Tillie's temps, but high 90s and humid.

CM, you are making good plans.

I'm glad people there are wearing masks.

I got feed yesterday. The feed store has no mask requirements (freedom! Yay!) but I can call and have my feed rung up and then pull in and they put it in the back of my car.

My students are nocturnal. Yesterday at 6:00 (a.m.) I was responding to a student email when I noticed it had been sent four hours earlier. I'm pretty sure some of them get up right before our 1pm class.

That balloon story is so funny!

Yesterday I picked blackberries and I did my half hour on the exercise bike. I also ran some laundry, since I sweated through three sets of clothes before dinner and I was out of shorts that fit. Also, Dh was so out of clothes that he was wearing the big t-shirt I use for pajamas. Laundry is pretty much caught up now on washed, but not put away.

The house needs a lot of picking up. I guess today would be good for that since it will be hot. I also want to make jam, and I need to clear off a bunch more space on the scullery counter to do that.

The chicks are two weeks old now and look like funny little ugly birds with their fluff mostly gone and pin feathers everywhere.

Good Morning Everyone
"Clink!"

Sounds like that arrangement will work well, having a "hands on" instructor in the room with you online.

We are all hoping, crossing our fingers and holding our breath that Monday you get a negative test report.
(((((HUGS)))))

Your home has been trashed before and you have always been able to chip away and get it back on track.
We remember how every start to a new school year the house gets messy until you get into the new routine.
Please don't worry about anything there except the basics for now. 🙂

Every registered voter in the county gets an absentee ballot. Got mine yesterday.
We can mail it in or drop it off in a lock box at the county building.
The polls will be open on voting day for those who want to vote at the machines.
I will just drop my ballot off at the lock box.

Congratulations on the twins, SubC!!!!! Wow!!!! And I'm so proud of you and your post it notes!!! WTG for finding a good system!!!!! I hope the gardening can help lift your mother's spirits even a little bit.

Cm, glad Bunny is getting the proper medication. I do think that your roommate's treatment will go well. She will just have to be diligent in following the diet (very easy and very healthy) and then be sure to keep toothbrush and other objects out of shared spaces. She must close the toilet before flushing it, and she must flush as much of her stuff as possible. Do you have any plans for the animals? I am admittedly not up to date so you may have told us. Could you refresh my memory?

Tillie I am keeping the faith! Last night was weird because it felt like the media was trying to stir up trouble. It feels weird even saying that. There was a lot of police activity by me but that was shootings and unrelated to the protest. Our protests were great and peaceful. And we got to see one of my all time favorite police officers Kim Tavares. She was outside, taking a knee, eventually got all the officers to take a knee. She's so great. Look her up. She's a singer and she's terrific in every way.

BF closed his shop but stayed in it til around 10 PM. I wanted him to come here but instead he stayed at work and had the police scanner on and we watched tv together over the phone. He eventually went home. My mom called around 9 to say there were hundreds of people by her place and they looked like nice people and they were well behaved.

I have a lot to do today. I'm not doing laundry because that distracts me from my work. I may do a bit I'm the afternoon.

Tillie I think I'll take down the pictures of the boarded up places. I just wanted you to see them. I don't think they have any other purpose so I will be deleting.

Hi CriticalMass
Just 11pm here.

So many people are struggling with their weight during this time.
Good luck with your plans and WTG! for the walking since you can't swim.

YEA! for getting donations delivered!
That would really help if someone else stored Bunny Club stuff.
You need any space you can get.

Happy you have been doing the mental work figuring out the storage arrangement.
So much easier when you plan things like that out mentally first then tackle it. 🙂

It's 70 degrees in here now.
I should turn off the cooler but don't want to.
Took a shower and am really enjoying the coolness after so many days at about 90F degrees day & night. 🙂
