Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Me too :( Missing Diane
Having a 20% goal is a great plan to help you keep in mind just how you want to get this done.
Without a clear plan we tend to get side tracked and then frustrated that nothing seems to be getting done.
My having fewer things really helps me to keep the house clean and frees up lots of time for me to play and enjoy things instead of always fretting about doing chores.

Yesterday morning I heard a strange little scream from the carport and ran out to find Twinkles with a baby cotton tail bunny in his mouth.
I yelled at him to let it go and chased him until I caught him by his tail.
Tossed Twinkles in the house and checked on the bunny. The bunny was stunned but otherwise alright. :D
I wish the carport was cleared out so the bunnies would stop nesting in there.
Will keep all cats in the house for the next several days to give the baby bunnies a chance to fledge the nest without becoming "cat toys".

Hi Tillie!

You are right, I will be happy with the decisions I make, Anything to reduce. I know saying 20% is arbitrary but I need to work toward something. I just need to keep paring down. Constant edit. I just need to keep editing my house.

I took the day off to spend with my visiting friend. We went to the consignment shop and I picked up my check. Both of my items had sold, I didn't bring more items but I will do so very very soon, I have one large piece of furniture that I am not sure of just how to get it to the shop. I will worry about that some other time. For now, I just need to keep moving forward

I know I can do this and I know I'll feel better. This is about feeling better not keeping stuff. I need to remind myself that a dirty messy house in the summer really hurts me to the core.

Glad you are feeling better dear Tillie, Hello to everyone!

Diane, if you ever read these, I think of you a lot, and I miss you, it doesn't matter if your house is perfect or terrible. I just miss you,

Good Morning Everyone :)

Hi Porter :)
Very interesting and thought provoking reading about all the different energy making ideas.
Keep up the GREAT job you've been doing on the home front.

Hi Anonymoniker :)
So very glad the fires are extinguished!
Making and keeping a 20 foot cleared space around our homes/properties is the best defense we can have.
I keep trying to do that here but the hoard prevents me from achieving that goal.

Hi Tatoulia :)
Good Luck with your 20% reduction goal!
I know it's hard work making all those decisions
but you will be so happy you did it now rather than waiting until you are older or being forced to do this in a short amount of time later.
(((hugs)))

Beautiful calm warm morning here.
Drinking my tea and taking it slow.
My plan for today is to make no plans.
All caught up on all the "need-to" get done stuff.
Rib injury is so much better, I can easily move around now without much pain. :D

Good to hear from you Anony and grateful that the fires have been contained.

I can't measure the 20%! But it's a goal that I can work toward. I would love to have 20% fewer possessions. It will take serious cuts, which will be hard considering how much has been pared down in all these years. But I'll work toward it.

I'm hoping to take at least one thing to the consignment shop tomorrow. I have it ready to go. I am having second thoughts. I think it is saleable/very dear object but it's part of the process. I can't clear out without clearing out. I have to do it.

Porter, ive seen a lot lately about the use of urine for fuel. It makes great sense! Did you mean that urine is explosive, or gasoline???
Flying Harleys would be super cool & lots of people would want one! ha ha
It is great to have such an excitement about the future! So much of it is scary, but its great you are engaging in the good things!
Ive really liked the idea of the power producing bicycles. It seems good to literally create the power one uses....and the urine fuel furthers that ideal! :D

Tatoulia, that idea of getting rid of 20% of your stuff this month sounds great! Measuring it doesnt sound easy tho? :D
Hi, HDD!!! :D
CM, i love that you are helping Ken with a more fashionable attire!!! :D
Tillie, im so glad youre feeling better now & healing up from your fall!!! :D
....another effect ive had from the fire scare is being so appreciative of everything here, even the stuff that needs tossing, that i dont mind it as much....i was kinda hoping for the opposite effect....ha ha....maybe itll come next... :D

Yes it's true.

We can make hydrogen out of water H2O
BUT urine is 95% water H2o
2% is urea it's the protein waste that comes out through urination. Urea is h4o so for the same energy to process water into hydrogen. You can get twice as much from urea.

Thing is there are scientists and engineers working on home versions is very cheap.

If the urea is harvested for its hydrogen you don't have to go get it. It doesn't have to be shipped.
An average family of 4 can create enough of it to heat a three bed room house to 65° for 4 months .

And some African school girls science project confirmed we can fill an electrical generator with 1 Gallon gasoline. And process the urea.
The generator creates enough hydrogen to then run on The hydrogen. For four times longer than the 1 gallon of gasoline.
Burning Hydrogen is pollution neutral.
It is extremely explosive.

So when I saw the flying car. Recently in the news.
Sponsored by Google CEO.

I began to dwell on the subject is at work while I'm in boring mode.

The problem with a flying car is they cost 300,000
AND YOU CANT take them everywhere . And cost four times the amount of fuel.

So I began to think of a flying mo-ped.
But a flying Harley sounds so much more cool.

If the bike and flying apparatus can separate.
Then you may fly or just ride the bike.

This technology has been fully developed for motor bike to use hydrogen. But the supply at service station is almost non existent. .
I'm thinking there whole nations of young people that would be willing to sell their urea in exchange for rides. . See my thoughts just keep looking to the future.

It's just that there is so much of it. Urea.
It's what humans make most. Staggering amounts.

What caught my imagination is the recent Google backed kitty hawk Hoover car video.
That flying car is under 200 lbs
.
Imagine a flying motorcycle that is made only as a commute vehicle. That is made to match our urea output, and out employers offer addition Hydrogen From their collection. Of urea as an employee benefit. .

If we're going to save the planet?
Home Heating and automobiles must stop using fossil fuels. Only then can we start to implement co2 captures I get emotions before the oceans become too acidic to support Shell creatures and egg layers.

So my mind goes there . It's my creative outlet to help me keep from dwelling on my dramas.
My escapes.

If only I were king for a day. ~sigh~

Hi, all!!!
The fire scare is over & i am intensely relieved & so very grateful to God & the fireworkers!!! Ive been pretty shaken up in a different way, now that im out of the crisis mode.
Porter, your flying car idea sounds fascinating! Im curious, as gross as this may sound, could people's toilets use their pee to make fuel? That way fuel would be free & available?
......dang, i knew i should have written down what i wanted to say to everybody....ha ha...ill be back...

Just being me today.

Thanks for your understand ing.
Co dependent is exactly right. Together were a hoarding home. Years of blaming eachother. And any attempt on my part was met with biting my head off.

Now with so many health services coming and going.
a large hoard pile is unacceptable.

I have to insist on being the only one to organize it. She's just throwing fits , but I'm not letting fits make it OK to openly hoard again . Thursday's I'm just digging in and inventory, as photo the items. Lable the tubs.. other wise it'll make great places for mice to hide and nest.

I know I may sound like all work and no play. But I do feel like playing once it's all cleaned up.

Until it's cleared. I feel constantly overwhelmed.
I finally separated all hoards into individuals.
So I can push for purges one daughter. Or wife.
Usually who is receptive.
Bug if neither are budging then I can push on just one at a time. For a few weeks. Then back off and start in on the other one.

My stuff has been as purged as I can go without just throwing it all out. My long term memories are tied to some of the objects and is very hard to let go a precious to me things. I can touch an object and or smell it. And go back to that time and Place .

OK today for my creative outlet.
I worked on the rammed earth wall machine for about 1/2 hour. I'm lacking In RE hnical so I'm going slow.
I have been inspired by flying cars. It now realize. . Flying cars are impractical. But detachable flying motorbikes I'm completely fascinated. I've so far as to determine they would be best with hydrogen fuel cell for the motor bike. And battery bank for the flying hover frame.

Where the hover frame provides lift. The motor bike can also add propulsion buy spinning forward or aft propellers In Addition to the hover craft.

So this has me realize I need to make a place to this in my model homes.

My example is a commuter that goes from home in the country to the center of a major city.

As urea is processed at home to make hydrogen. And processed into fuel cell. Fly's to the city and lands in a sky zone parking space where it can be locked and recharged . Detaching the motor bike. And going where the rider wants.

Not everyone would want one. But together automobiles and flying motorbikes could make an enormous dent in both Congestion and pollution.
As well as helping any country become less dependent don't on fossils fuels.

The model has to be the cheapest way to get to work. Or it will only be a novelty.

I've gone as far as thinking of merging pedestrian streets. On for smaller commute vehicle's and foot powered vehicle's. But a layer of decking about 20 off the ground. Instead of Pavement. So no flying vehicle could fall on the pedestrians under inside the deck. Would be much cheaper than asphalt.

Well that's what I've been thinking hard on.

Just like many folks like to buy Harley Davidson and other famous bikes. For around 20,000. I can see a niche for flying bikes for 20,000 also.

Most of the Harley's can't be rode I. Winter Conditions, but a flying motorbike. Could be made especially to avoid harsh road Conditions. Especially traversing frozen roads from the country to an inner city. Hydrogen motorbikes. Are silent just like electric cars.

Hello HDD--welcome! Glad you are joining us! We post here regularly to discuss our challenges, our victories and everything else!

Today I'm doing laundry and washing my down jacket so I can donate it. I've already taken my boots to the donation center. Trying to get rid of as much as I can. I've set a goal to get rid of 20% of possessions before end of May!

All suggestions gladly accepted!

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi CriticalMass :)
Hi Tatoulia :)
Hi Anonymoniker :)
Hi Porter :)

Weather has been sunny and bright.
Chilly in the mornings but soon gets warm.
Lightly breezy but not the raging winds we have been having.
Perfect weather for washing a lot of stuff like drapes and blankets, which is what I've been doing.
Once my ribs are all better I think I need to dust those high hard to reach places like ceiling fan and cupboard tops.
I noticed there are dust bunnies congregating up there. :P

Hope everyone had a good day. I shredded some papers but not enough.

Hello, glad to find you all. I thought Phase Six seemed kind of inactive - now I know why!

You can't get rid of me that easily, LOL! :D

Most of the rain has moved out of our part of the state although it looks like Tuesday we might have some again. It's still chilly in the house and only the space heater. I let my roommate decide when it goes on - she wouldn't mind if I used it myself but I'm so forgetful. Don't want to start a fire. So I just throw on extra clothes & blankets! I also do household things that generate a little heat, such as laundry and ironing. I might bake something later, time permitting.

On Saturday it was rainy but not pouring so we went to the big stores. I got a DVD/CD-ROM USB external drive for my laptop. It was quite reasonable on sale and the built-in one hasn't worked for awhile. At Walmart I got a file box for my health & other papers, and (don't laugh) a Ken doll. He's for a model for my Barbie clothes sewing, for when I display the clothing for sale on my future online shop. I have several Barbies and a couple of Kens, and felt the gentlemen needed more representation! ;)

My roommate ordered a new laptop and bought a new printer. I inherited her old one, which works fine hooked up via USB instead of wireless. I shall use it for my scanning of photos - I reckon it may be faster. I can now recycle my old one and an ancient laptop that was in my storage.

On a more serious note - Porter, you're doing the right things as best you can in an extreme situation. Sounds like you're trying not to be a "codependent" to your wife's hoard. Good for you on that. I don't know her but from what you've said of her state of health, I wonder if she might be using the hoard as a distraction from deeper fears. I hope it works out better for all your family. Hang in there.

Tillie, hope the pain and depression are lessening and you'll feel more energetic again soon. Don't overdo in the meantime!

Anony, hope the fires are gotten under control and you don't have to evacuate.

Good Evening Everyone :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Wonderful that your friend is visiting! :D
Hope you all had a great time (((hug)))

Hi Porter :)
Nope, I did not get hurt on my stuff.
I got tangled up with his hoard.
My stuff is very minimal and tidy. LOL
His stuff is heaped up, tossed into big heaps and generally a very spooky nasty jumble that is heaped up higher than I am tall.
Sometimes I need to make my way through it to access other areas of the property.
When the insurance company discovered the hoard they immediately cancelled our home owners insurance, it's that bad.
My only hope is that I die before him so I am not left to clean up this mess all by myself.

Feeling so much better today. Movement does not hurt hardly at all! :D
I moved the sprinkler around to water the grass.
Also cooked up some stir fry and cleaned the kitchen.
Tomorrow I plan to do some laundry and wash the cat's litter boxes.

It's been a really long day.
Up at 5am for no reason, got to be at work in 2 hours. I'll try to sleep.
I just saw the fly car,
I've seen other flying cars and floating tanks ect...

But this concept of a 200lb hover lift. 40 mph.
All electric. I think it will take off.

It's not how incredible it is, it's how safe and how cheap. From the parts I see it will be a $1,000 vehicle and will coat about $50 a month to get back and forth to a job 50 miles away.

The planet so needs this right now.

There have been something's I wanted to see before I die.
Cheap energy. Check
Cheap disaster proof housing check
Flying cars. Check
Man on Mars.

My hoard gone, not realizing what that means to my wife.

It's a great feeling to have guests.

I give up getting drawn into my wife's hoard.
It was manageable , and cleaned. But is now like a tsunami has gathered debris and plowed it across the back of the house.

I imagine there are things that have long been destroyed, but she believes are there somewhere.

I truly believe she tries to dominate space with her clutter.
So I give up. On her hoard this week.
It's still somewhat manageable because the large pieces she wasn't emotionally attached to. Are gone. I will make an inventory the next time. And put back exactly the way I had it before.
Valuables, large , small.

If this is how it's going to be then I can deal with it. Wish she could.

Thank you for coming over to the next phase!

I slept again a lot last night. Feeling fresh today. Have a friend in from out of the country and will enjoy her company this afternoon, then my BF will join us for dinner. Looking forward to all of it.

You said you got hurt from a fall on your stuff?

I had that issue in my former garage.
My hoard got so high. I had to put it in the largest tubs I could find. And what was so large couldn't fit in largest tubs, I put to one side.
In a large area.

That's when I started removing piles in favor of tubs. It's wasn't something I liked. It was something I could live with. My garage was filled on the long wall with tubs. From floor to ceiling.
In the middle was things on Wheels , bikes, mowers, and more bins. Then a pile , and opposite the wall of tubs the large things.

I think I could live out my days as a garage troll.
But I prefer to be inside with my daughter. And my wife. The drama not so much.

Hope you recover and are able to make your pla e safe again.

May already.
I'm getting stuff done , but there's too much drama in the house. I usually think it's my fault admit it , and move on. But she just keeps on till I have to respond. And then she says I'm a beast.
Enough of that right?

At least I still have my small list of things to do.
Usually when I'm distracted by her moods, I don't feel like doing anything. But with the lists always present and the priorities clearly laid out. When I'm taking an adult time out. I can start doing something on my list. So that when she calms down and wants to start it up again I can ask her to wait till I Finnish WHat I'M DOING! LOL
In this case I clearly know its not me. So I have to just keep listening and taking time outs when it gets heated.

The simple 18 task formula for this weekend I may adopt as a go to for when moods are dominating the home .

3 meal times a day X Fri,Sat,Sun = 9
1 before and 1 after 9meals = 18
I'm thinking if it's an entire moody week.
Then Mon,Tues,Wedn,Thur I can count on doing one right after meals so I can plan 22 one hour tasks a week.

In this way I would always be able to try and avoid an argument I see coming from her side. Or at least a planned task for time outs.

Thing is on my side I'm extremely moody when my house is so cluttered I can't I vote people in.

Now that we're definitely moving within 30 days.
There going through everything I had already packed. And it's a huge mess all over again.

Sounds like a disaster.
However it's not my disaster.
It's hers.
I already moved everything to the storage bin that belongs to me. Nothing in her mess is mine , or my daughters. So wife has alot of anxiety, and comes and finds me to verbalize her frustrations.
For whatever reason. I get caught up in it.

I dont think I'll be able to change the way we dance to those moods. But maybe , possiblely I can not allow the moods to stop my ability to move forward and make progress.

At this point we have more than can fit in the next house. And we don't have the ability to through it away with trash. It will need heavy trash dump .and a truck to dump it.

I could go on and on.
We the plan was to split apart. My plan was to have her people help her move. Last time we moved her people set up situation where I had no place to my hoard. Her stuff filled all closets, porches and living spaces. I lost alot. So now she's wants to do the same thing. And we're going back and forth .
If hers isn't in tubs it'll take over the entire area. Where as if all the small clutter is in tubs then there is enough room for everyone's stuff.

I prefer tubs either , but there's no way to keep it from becoming a pile again.

So I'm struggling too.

Saturday night--very hot here. Did the usual, saw brother, did mom's grocery shopping, etc. then came him either and fell fast asleep. I did get some things to the donation center today.

Was out late last night having dinner with friends--well past 1 AM, which is late for me.

Going to make something quick to eat and head back to bed.

Thinking of you all--hope the fire continues to be contained, hope Tillie is healing, hope everyone is well.

Thanks, Tatoulia!
There is a big fire in my area that im having to keep watch on in case it gets close enough to have to get the cats & go to a motel. It is scary. The scariest part is having to trap the feral cats. It definitely has me evaluating what 'stuff' is important. ~☆♡☆~
