Hi porter!

I've been wondering about you!

I'm so sorry about your basement. I have had that happen more than once, so I know how awful it is. Glad your stuff was in bins!

We have started phase 8 - you should see it on the list if you back up to "daily chat".

My basement flooded.
14 inches.
I was prepared for that happen but seeing occure is like oh my moment.

I heard the sump pump working so I just closed the door.
went to work.
came hone and the water was gone. But there was a slimy sludge. So I divided the areas into 7 parts and will spend each of the next seven days cleaning it back to fully restored.

I cant keep anything down there anymore.
I know it could be worse. . Ive moved
j to my wifes old room.
this keaves an upstairs place to repack my hoard into.
it will leave enough roon just be surrounded by bins and totes from floor to ceiling in that one small room .
But everything will accessible.
This will only spacecin the basement for projects.
and only a total flood of 3 feet deep could ruin the projects on the countertops. By then the furnace would be underwater to. So im back to using scavenged materials as mt project materials. So no loss of cash.
recently started using pieces of strong solid foam as bricks.
and seems to versatile and reusable. And in my basement not affected by dirty water.

tillie I also spend time in the kitchen now. I didnt used too
since its just me. I sometime just spend the whole day in there . Not just cleaning but spending my time there.
as the day goes by I tend to clean it in turtle speed.

I keep my eye out for next phase.

Falling asleep now.

Good Morning Everyone :)
Ice tea "Clink!"

Hi Tatoulia :D
Wonderful that you had that nice time visiting with your coworkers! :D
Happy you enjoyed the eclipse with the special glasses. ;)

Hi Subclinical :)
That's wonderful that you have a place to "up-cycle" some of your non-recyclables!
I wish that nothing was ever made that was not easily recycled and reused again & again for ever.

Was busy all day yesterday but accomplished a lot that needed to get done.
Need to do some cooking today and then clean the kitchen.
Been planning and making meals to use up everything I have from the freezer and pantry to make sure that nothing gets too old or forgotten.
Yesterday I bought lots of fresh produce so I can make some of my favorite dishes today.
I have done some furniture rearranging and have been able to eliminate 2 small pieces.
Not being able to do anything about the massive hoard in the garage, carport and yard is depressing but it makes me happy to defend and maintain the no clutter spaces in the house. :D

Hello everyone!

My handyman is coming today to fix the washer. I hope this latest part does the trick.

I have done zero in my house. I had a very rough day at work on Monday (despite working from home) and last night many people from our different offices were flying in from all over the country. I caught up with a few for a gingerale and then people kept coming into the hotel to check in, do I stayed for dinner and caught up with various people. As soon as we would see people checking in, we'd call them over to join for a drink or dinner. It's a very modern hotel where the bar and check in and restaurant are all in this big open space, with large, long tables, so we could easily accommodate our visitors. The evening renewed and refreshed my spirit.

I am working from home and need to look alive. I wanted to check in on everyone. We got about 60% of the eclipse and it was lovely to look at with my NASA approved glasses.

Everyone, I think we should start our next Phase--Phase Eight--because the little buttons are starting to disappear for me and I know that means our dear Anony will be having trouble soon. I will go start that now.

So Tillie, how were your dreams?

The eclipse was about the same here. I was setting up at school, and the priest next door built a big pinhole projector and invited us all out to the parking lot to watch with him. It was very cool and informative - apparently he trained as an astronomer.

My chickens are very cool, but my family calls their home "the frankencoop". I built it myself out of salvaged materials and it is not lovely. Replacing it is on my "someday" list.

I also wish that Steven could get some satisfaction from the clearing out. It is a difficult place to get to though.

Tatoulia, I hope your day went well and you feel more in control. Sometimes the mess seems more daunting that it really is. (Anony - I hope you found that with the honey!)

My classroom is starting to come together. My very happy thing for the week is that my boss sent us a link to a place that "up cycles" things for craft supplies. they are very cheap and marketing to teachers especially. They also have craft camps and project ideas.

She was encouraging us to shop there to stretch the budget, but the part I am excited about is that they accept donations of things that either I have been throwing away (empty tape dispensers!) or things that I was afraid would just end up thrown away if I took them to goodwill (a huge box of partly used crayons)

As I mentioned elsewhere, waste/the environment is one of my huge hoarding triggers. So having a place to take these things is very motivating!

Hello Everybody :)

Hi Subclinical :)
Have a WONDERFUL day :D
We get wild turkeys here sometimes too.
One year a big Tom turkey decided to make me his pet human and followed me everywhere.
I would love to see your henhouse and all your pretty chickens :D

Hi Tatoulia :)
Good wishes for Kitty's full recovery.
When I see that I have a LOT of work to get done in one day I always remember that I am only one person and will get done only as much as I am able to get done in a day.
And that rushing only makes me make more mistakes or have more accidents and then I am further behind than I was before.
Anyways, be kind with yourself as you tackle your To-Do list (((HUGS)))
Thank you for sending positive thoughts to Steven.
I always wish he could feel the same as me in that by letting go of the unneeded makes room for new possibilities to come in.

I thoroughly enjoyed the solar eclipse.
Here it was about 90 percent total.
It was very quiet except for a few Mourning Doves cooing.
Twinkles hated it and became very depressed so I picked him up and brought him back inside.
The others were indifferent to it.
My clothes line was full of my laundry and I hope eclipse dried pillow cases give me interesting dreams. ;)

Have a great day, SubC!

Iced tea clinks! I have a big day in front of me. My house is disgusting and it's laundry day and eclipse day and I need to change my mother's bed for her and I need to work really hard because there is so much work.

Kitty seems better, Tillie.

Congratulations to you and Steven! Glad to hear some things are going OUT. Sending him much strength and energy--hoping he can get used to the feeling of letting go.

Have a wonderful day!

Quick fly-by.

Classroom set up starts today and I need to load my car and go!

I got 2 barnevelders, 2 welsumers, 3 salmon faveroles, 2 New Hampshire reds, 4 buff orphingtons, and 3 barred rocks. I also have a hen who hatched one Easter egger chick.

Already had remaining 5 Easter eggers (2 roosters), 2 Delawares, 2 welsumers, and one New Hampshire red.

We have wild turkeys. I love to watch the mommas with the poults!

Hello Peoples :D
Ice tea "clink!"

Hi CriticalMass :)
(((HUGS))) and condolences.
There have been many funerals I was unable to attend due to distance and finances but I know the deceased ones felt my prayers and know of my sorrow.

Hi Subclinical :)
What breed of chicks did you get?
My Quail are just like small wild chickens and I love to watch the chicks play & grow. :D

Hi Porter :)
I think a teenage boy would really enjoy doing urine power experiments.
Having had a son I know how much boys love to pee on different things and write their names in the snow ;D

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Happy you remembered to use the coffee pot for some hot water.
Lots of rinses with a warm wet rag should do a splendid job cleaning it up. :D

Hi Tatoulia's Kitty :D
Hope you are doing much better now and are more careful not to hurt yourself again.
(((HUGS)))

Hi Tatoulia :)
I am just so excited for all your new furnishings/decoratings!
Once everything is in place and all handymen are gone I am sure you will really enjoy your fresh new home. :D

Been so busy this weekend!
Today I cleaned the house really well.
Washed out litter boxes and a million other chores.
That animal welfare group I am always talking about is having a yard sale in September to raise money for cat expenses.
I gathered up a few donations then I mentioned it to Steven.
He has gone through his stuff this weekend and given me lots of his stuff to donate.
I am talking about some very nice things too.
3 THREE guitars! and lots more stuff.
I can't believe he has finally released his grip on some of his stuff and is letting it go!!!
Must be the impending SOLAR ECLIPSE doing it's magic! :D

I am all ready for the eclipse, hope you all get to experience some of it where ever you live.
Just DO NOT stare into the sun. LOL :)

Anony, I'm glad you have started to find a way to clean up that honey. Really how awful for you! I wish I were there to help out!

We have three of the drapery panels up. The 4th one's pocket is too tight for the rod. She will fix it next weekend for me. I've ordered the fabric for the chair cushions and I still need to find the right thing for the chandelier. As it is, I can't have the chandelier hung until the curtains are perfect and up. That's okay, another eeek is fine with me. The chain had arrived do its just getting the correct electrical wire.

BF took my old light fixture/-I think it would look terrific over his kitchen table (he has an eat-in kitchen). Kitty hurt herself, I'm not sure if I mentioned it, she is doing better today.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

I dont know what that is called, but it was like a flower blossom shape exploding outward & upward & downward...hmmm....a flower blossom...perfect for a bee food shape? :D ~♡~Have a Happy day, Happy Homeys!~♡~

~Iced Coffee Clinks to all!~ :D
Tatoulia, it sounds like everything is ready to come together with your new drapes, cushions & chandelier?! That will be very exciting!
CM, ive been praying for Ginger, how is she doing? Im so sorry to hear about your aunt passing, but at her age, it isnt necessarily better to hang on longer if one doesnt feel good. It sounds like she had full life?!
Porter, your idea about the urine for fuel is brilliant! Sometimes tho, if a brilliant alternative for fuel is too good & starts getting recognition, it can endanger the inventor, because of the established industries not wanting competion...but im sure you know that. Also, did you know most hair shampoos have animal urea in them?
I finally have a honey plan that im gonna do today! Im gonna heat up water in the coffee maker to use...this idea partly came from you Tillie, from suggesting that for something else a while back?! That way i can keep the water warm enough to clean it up....and Porter, that 360 degree thing is kinda funny cuz its soooo much more than that! Itll be ok...its partly a reminder how nice my 'problems' are nowdays....ha ha ;D ~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~

Glad to hear that your daughter came by! It was good that there were no poker games going on--that would have been a terrible mix. Don't be annoyed that she took some supplies--you told her they were hers and I bet she'll think of you as she's using them.

I don't have much to show for my weekend, got very drained with brother yesterday. He was being fine, I just got worn out. Today I have to pick up his meds at the pharmacy and take to him. Mom and I are going to pick up my drapes so I am excited. Designer sent the ideas for the chair cushions for the dining room chairs and I am almost committed to one of them. The chandelier chain arrived as did the tool to open and close the links. Tillie I just need to get more wire and then I'll be ready for you to stop by!

Hope everyone has a good day. I hope to accomplish something today.

My daughter came to stay the night with friends.
They didnt settle down till 5am.
ive barley talked to her. They planned to leave in just a few hours. Shes acting more mature and a lot less drama.

at least the house . In the rooms where we live have zero clutter. In no way by looking in the common areas or bed rooms are any sign of being haorder. Its all in the basement. And condensed and organized as I can get it.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. Not that I needed to be ashamed. But for many years I no visitors at all due embarrassment of the clutter.

the art room has been fully stocked and she spent some time in there. Dragging out supplies until her friends came.
she even asked permission before getting it all out.
but I reminded her it was mostly her supplies. She gathered some into a back pack to take with her. Which annoyed me. But didnt say anything.

im just keeping to my routine .

Ok after posting post below.
I going to do another experiment .
and try to get my daughter or some other school student to use my experiment as a science fair experiment.

Extracting urea from urine.
This has been done many times many ways.
my experiment will be one over over unity.

that's like a Nobel prize achievement.

why using urine as power source could considered an over unity ?

because wether it is used as a power source or flushed away. It is still ambient in the local environment. Requiring zero transportation costs.

step 1
buy a 2lb container of hydrogen.
step 2 buy a hydrogen storage tank.
step 3 create a hydrogen extraction system.
step 4 buy or rent a electric generator that can run on hydrogen. To extract hydrogen from urine.

step 5 collect urine and use gravity fed filter to separate urea from urine.
step 6 measure how much hydrogen is collected from urea using all of the hydrogen in the 2lb container.

My understanding is you can collect 4.6lbs of hydrogen
from 2lbs of hydrogen fueled generator.

In this way energy in is surpassed by energy out. Over unity.

Thing is since we carry it our bladder . There isnt a transportation infrastructure needed. Just a system for a pee only system. Any additional wastes would be put into the current sewer system . Additionally there are powders that can be added to a urine holding tank that make it less smelly to work with. And also many current enzymes that eat any urine spills . Called urine B gone that can buy cheaply in pet pet stores.

Well I know i only do what feels right for me. I'll tell how I would approach the honey is with a plan.

Nothing replaces the commitment to using elbow grease, but sometimes I have feelings of being overwhelmed even though I haven't even started. So making a plan doesn't clean a sssingle thing but it gets me in the mood to clean.
So I find that is a mess is like a 360° . I treat it like a clock.

I go start in a corner and move clockwise putting my hands on everthing as I go. Not everthing needs cleaning but nothing escapes inspection. So I can feel better about dividing tasks into steps 12 steps or large divisions of 12.

it's not as overwhelming to take the first few steps.
For me it's not as overwhelming to take the first few steps and I may feel like moving on to more after I've gotten into cleaning zone.

this week I had no games.
So I just stayed out all night driving people .
I made $98 in fare and $24 in tips.

My daughter might come, she's still being elusive and vague. .

I already had the house ready for 8 people.
So I haven't been focussed on creative outlet latley because I'm not feeling as depressed or overwhelmed. But i think with weekend of nothing to do I'll keep working on the outside place for the men to pee. Its as gross a thing .
my city ordnance won't let me use my design for turning it into hydrogen and storing . And what is required is so expensive that it's not feasible. Its because I'm right on the railroad track there's more codes to follow.

Still I feel for any of my other creative outlets to move forward I need this part of the project addressed.

I know I may be boring Y'all. But its the hydrogen bike that fits so well. Its currently available off the shelf range is 100 miles at 20mph. So its cheaper than gasoline. And since it peddles itself . You get to your destination much less fatigued. Than if you pedaling all the way.

so that's what I'm working on today I guess.
I think in the urban areas there so my urea available.
Mixing store bought hydrogen and homemade hydrogen would make my transportation costs for school and workplace almost nothing comparitivly.

and I seem to have alot it with have so many guys coming over. I started collecting rain water and ran a gravity fed line into the back of the toilet tank. This drooped my water bill down alot. . I use dollar store toilet tablets to keep it all sanitary. But now I either need to figure something out or just let it go as nothing I can do.
when go outside. It costs me nothing, but it's gross where there is so much of it. I'm trying to figure a way to profit from it..

ok it's almost 11am. I'm going turn all power off. For 6 hours .
this way i I don't open fridge or freezer from 11am to 5pm.
but i also don't go outside by opening the doors and exchanging heat.trapping my cooler air inside.
Then i turn on the fridge for an hour and then air conditioning from 6pm to 9pm when just chillin.

So I believe the hydrogen bike is key factor in saving money.

Hi porter! Glad you came by!

Tatoulia, I hate it when people have to do work in my house. No matter how nice or clean, or quiet they are, it always feels invasive to me! I'm sure the energy will settle down once you've you chandelier and drapes up though - eyes on the prize!

Tillie, I'm glad your kitty is better.

So many furry friends having a rocky time right now. :( All is joy in my barn, with bunny's new yard, baby chicks, and goat breeding season starting.

Anony, don't give up. I know that is the sort of thing that makes you just want to curl up in a ball and surrender. But you can overcome the honey! Just take it a little at a time.

My dad is a beekeeper and someone asked him once if the bees know who he is (thinking like my goats are bonded to me) he said "yup. They know who I am. I'm the sob who breaks into their home and steals their food."

CM, I am sorry about your aunt. I did not go to my grandmother's funeral. I was able to visit, write, and call when she was alive, and that was what was important. I am terrible at death and I would have been another burden for my mother rather than a source of support.

I am glad you have local resources for your move.

I have too much going on right now (house under construction, classes starting soon - open house next weekend, son's wedding in two weeks) and I discovered last night that someone I love is going through a crisis. I told her tell me what to do and I will help, but she says there is nothing to be done. So all I can do is remind her that she is loved. It's hard. I would drop everything for her.

Tillie I am glad the kitty is doing better and enjoying some watermelon.

Goodnight everyone.

Hi everyone - Porter, glad you stopped by, Anony too - sorry about the honey incident - that would make me want to pop my cork.

Yesterday was my clutter club meeting for the month. Our poor leader came in bent over - she's having major back trouble. Besides feeling bad for her, I worried about our plans for my storage unit in September. But where God closed a door, He opened a window. We had a guest speaker from the county codes enforcement. She is a super lady who knows resources of volunteers and I asked her if there was any chance I could get some help too even though I'm not a homeowner and she said sure, just call.

Today has been a different feeling kind of day. It seemed to start out pretty happily - I counted my quilt squares and found I have 35, only 7 more to embroider, and I didn't have any place to go so I could work on my bunny event project.

Then I called the bunny club people and found out that Ginger, the big Flemish Giant who had a botched spay that resulted in huge internal abscesses and the surgical removal of a kidney, is now declining instead of improving after the kidney surgery. If she doesn't make a turnaround in a couple of days it could be over for her. If anyone prays for bunnies we could use some for Miss Ginger.

There's more. I went to put up a prayer request on our bunny club's Facebook page and saw my cousin had posted that her mother, my aunt, died this morning at the age of 96. She hadn't been doing too well for awhile, yet still no matter how one knows these things happen, it still comes as a shock.

So I don't know up from down at the moment. The funeral would be out of town, and I don't know if I'll get to go since I can't drive highways and no one from that side of the family lives here that I can ride with. Nor do I have bus fare. Well, I didn't get to go to her husband my uncle's funeral either, but from where they are they know how much I loved them and appreciated them. They were kind and generous people and that's what matters.

More later...

~Hi to all!~ .....i am still totally devistated by this honey mess....i know from trying to use ice cold water to clean when i didnt have hot water, how hard cleaning honey is. The thing that makes it worse is, it was my only really nice, clean, clear area in this whole place...there are even honey sprinkles on the curtains...i am so bummed out....i know in the scheme of problems in life, this is not a big deal, but the fact it happened on this one nice area seems really unfair.....one amusing thing about it is that astrologically Jupiter was square to Venus, which is a hard aspect between the planet representing expansion(Jupiter) & sweet foods(Venus)....ha ha....(sigh)

Hello Everybody :D
Ice tea "clink!"

Hi Anonymoniker :)
What I believe happened is since the honey was mixed with water and left sitting for a long time it fermented and when you removed the lid the excess gas in it caused the explosion.
Sorry about the mess.
Has your special sacred spot been put back to right?

Hi Subclinical :)
WAY TO GO! for getting things to their proper new locations! :D

Hi Porter :)
Even with daily maintenance there comes a time when things need more.
WAY TO GO! for putting in the time to bring things up to your high standards. :D

Hi Tatoulia :)
How was the girl's night out?
WAY TO GO! for ALL laundry washed and curtain rods up and chandelier down!
Big (((HUGS))) and extra loving to Kitty.

This morning was very busy but I got it all done.
Not even 12:30 here yet.
Last few days Marty (the cat) has been ill but this morning he got up, drank water then had watermelon and later on some kibble.
I was so worried with him just laying/hiding under things and refusing to even drink.
I started using a dropper to force water into his mouth.
Right now he is taking a nap in his favorite spot, my laundry basket. :D
His Veterinarian was not available so we took a "wait and see" approach rather than drive him all the way to Reno to see an emergency Vet.

Oh Anony, I am so sorry! How upsetting! But hopefully easier to clean since you had recently decluttered that area. I had never heard of that happening before! How awful.

I finally got my curtain rods hung. I am in such a state when work is going on st my house. He took down my light fixture. Now to just find the right chain and wire for my chandelier.

I'm going crazy with the mess but I'll be okay. Kitty is deeply hidden due to the upset of a loud stinky man in the house.

Keep up the good work, SubC! It must feel so satisfying to bring your empty buckets to school.

Take care everyone--iced tea clinks to all!

Syrup can do something similar in the most awkward

it took me all day to get things cleaned . Usually just a few hours but today took eight. I stuck to it. And sorta on a cleaning high. Just in time to go to work.

Oh no anony! I'm so sorry.

Maybe you will find some things you would rather purge than clean? Dd packed up today (she leaves tomorrow) and there's a very big pile of stuff on the guest bed that she didn't want enough to pack. I'm very proud of her. She even purged some shoes.

Tatoulia, I'm impressed that you slayed the laundry dragon! How did the paperwork go? I know you are getting excited about your drapes! Have fun tonight.

Tillie, maybe Steven will get sequestered and you can catch up on sleep? ;)

I washed four more buckets to return to school today.

Iced tea clinks!

It makes me so happy to read your posts! I'm sorry if I forget the details when I go to post but I love hearing about your days, your progress, your projects, your families and of course your pets.

I am working at home today and tomorrow. The curtain hanging guy is now scheduled for tomorrow. I am doing my laundry downstairs with no trouble and no anxiety so I am less concerned with the washer right now. I just want the curtain rods hung so that Sunday I can have my new drapes up!

I am going to concentrate on my work now and put my worries aside today. Meeting friends for dinner tonight--a couple of girlfriends.

I am going to go sit at my dining room table and some of my work paperwork. I generally sit at my desk and work on laptop but there is so much paperwork that I brought some home with me.

Let's have a great day, everyone!

Hi Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :) (((((HUGS)))))
Thank you

WAY TO GO! for the weight loss!
Hope the washer guy is feeling better and fixes your washer ASAP.

Hi Subclinical :)
YEA! for finding the hidden canvas! :D

Hi CriticalMass :)
Happy the bunny is able to lay down comfortably.
Fingers are crossed this abscess just goes away for her. X
Good luck with your Sunday event. :D

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Hi Porter :)

Was crazy busy ALL day today.
Watered, washed the car, did laundry and lots of misc. assorted other stuff.
I'm tired!
Steven made a little less noise last night.
This morning he had to go to court because he had jury duty last month and totally forgot.
Fortunately the judge dismissed the charge and they rescheduled him to serve jury duty next month.
My covey of Quail has done very well this Summer and their numbers have grown.
The last few years their family has been small especially when compared to past years when there were over 50 and one year there were around 100.
Just wish they would stop pooping on my car. ;P

I understand about the trash Tatoulia. Tickets, alleys, - lol! We live in very different places!

On my way to work today I passed a bathroom sink, a kitchen drawer stack with a piece of counter on top, and an exersaucer. On my way home I also passed a rug, a metal fire pit thingy, and one of those things you use to spread fertilizer or seed on your lawn, but the kitchen drawers were gone. Out here people just put stuff "out by the road" whenever.

CM, I am proud of you! And your life sounds quite nice to me. I'm sure your event will go just fine. What more can you ask for if you have live bunnies?

I cleaned up in the studio a little this morning. I moved some papers and I found the canvas I've been looking for for three months! Just in time for fall holiday production work - very handy!

I also drove into school and took four buckets, two big bowls, a box of straws, the extra mop, and some bits and pieces. All cleared out of the studio.

Hi, and miscellaneous . . .

Anony, yes, I hope you can find ways to keep the spiders away! *shudder* I had fairly good luck with sticky traps when I lived in an apartment with them. For the gatecrashing cat I wonder if it'd help to put a little lemon juice in the squirt bottle. I've heard tomcats don't care for citrus. Be careful not to get it in his eyes though. Hope the progress on your home runs smoothly!

Tatoulia, lots of good work with all your projects; hope you are enjoying seeing it take shape bit by bit. If you can put the rug out at just the right time it may be "adopted" by someone.

SubC you're definitely keeping busy with the school plans and wedding plans. Sounds like you're getting a good rhythm going with your decluttering and finding it easier to make decisions.

Tillie hope Steven gets tired and goes to bed at a reasonable hour so you can get some sleep too!

I've been on and off the last few days. Bunny group meeting is this coming Sunday and I want to prepare some handouts. Was thinking of a kids' project but that may have to wait till next year. It was kind of hard for us all to get started because our venue kept changing their mind about things. And my own motivation is in the August doldrums at times. But I thought, simplify, simplify and maybe that will help me not stress over my own booth and handouts. Just do a simple handout and a little for the booth and it'll be okay. I'm supposed to be stationed by the adoptable bunnies, who'll probably steal the show anyway!

My own bunny girl's feet are about the same, maybe a slight improvement. Coconut oil does seem to help but slowly. I have other tricks up my sleeve. My budget is pretty blown so I hope we won't need the vet right away. She is able to lie down comfortably on her belly and stretch her legs out in a way such that her heels are not on the floor - smart girl!

I am SO loving that roll-downable van window! Happy dance! It will be delightful if/when (hopefully when) I move the storage contents, because September and even October can still be pretty warm here if they decide to be.

Quilt embroidery squares are coming along; only a dozen or so to go! May get done this month; if not, early next. Then to kick butt organizing my room and craft area to be able to get around and to have work space.

SubC, you'll be proud of me - I am not feeling any desire for more Barbie dolls! I want to get to sewing for these and American Girls again soon. And more quilts, but quicker ones - none with planned embroidery for now. I might do some embroidery here and there for fun, though, and just save the blocks till I have a fair number of them then decide on a quilt to incorporate them into. I find embroidery quite relaxing now that I've gotten the hang of it. So I may not want to stop entirely.

Hope that by mid-Autumn I'm also ready to shift back more into artwork and writing emphasis, to bring those pastimes into the foreground while keeping the others going along to fill in. The life of a Renaissance (mad)woman!

Hi SubC! Yes it went well today. I like my doctor so much. She is young and sweet and smart. She was very pleased with my weight loss and so that was good. I'll await news of my blood work. Everything feels okay so I expect good news.

I can only put out in trash night--otherwise it's just trash in the alley and we get ticketed--which is good, I don't want people just dumping their stuff out back. I didn't get it out tonight because I had trouble with the vacuum (now fixed--much to kitty's chagrin) and then I had to go to mom's to change her sheets.

Goodnight everyone--hope Steven is quieter tonight, Tillie. You need your sleep!

Hi Tillie! I hope your sleep situation improves.

I absolutely thing fuzzy people deserve nice things too.

Tatoulia, if you missed ther ash, can you put he rug out anyway? Maybe it will be gone before trash day comes around again. (Or are there rules?)

I hope you got good news from the doctor.

Someday I will have all my shelf things on shelves. I finally got all the books on shelves a few years ago, though some of them are still stacked sideways. Dolls, pottery, puzzles, and probably some other things I didn't think of off the top of my head are still partly packed away in bins, and of course there are still piles on the studio floor....

The ne magazine came today and I have not finished reading the old one, so I have two magazines again.

I think we cross-posted again today, Tillie!

No progress on any front today. I've decided to just go with it. Haven't heard from the washer fixing guy, etc. he had hurt his back last week and BF hasn't seen him all day, so I'll look to see what Wednesday brings my way!

I am going to leave here around 2 for DR appt. I'm looking forward to it since I've lost 6.8 lbs in the last month. So I'm excited to have my weight going down. And I'll need blood work to see where my blood levels are. I have a chronic disease that is easily managed with medicine if the levels are kept correctly. They feel right, but I still need management. I can generally tell when they aren't working.

Tillie, never give up hope that something could wake him up. You never know. And if not, I will help you, one way or another I will help you. Even if it's just hiring junk haulers and a dumpster from afar, God-willing, I will help you.

Hi SubC. I'm glad you have your grandmother's diary!

I kept a diary for decades and the volumes were taking up two shelves. I started to shred them maybe a year ago, maybe more recently. Everytime I find a volume I shred it. Some I skim and some I read. It's time to do this. I started keeping a diary in college and continued right through grad school and beyond. I stopped up with them probably in 2003 and definitely by 2004. They are of no value to me now. Rereading them was very very odd. I used to write for hours. And I'd re read and re read and just spend hours in them. But now except for a few stragglers I may find, they are gone, I like having the shelf space. You would know all about that, with your all of your shelf clearing!

I do hope to get rid of the rug today but that may end up being a task for a different trash day. Today all I've done is brew a fresh pitcher of iced tea and take a shower. Dr is in a few hours. I'll see how much work I can get done til then.

Good Morning Everyone :)
"Clink!"

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Autumn is quickly approaching and I want you to be safe from the elements and spiders.
Please don't ever get comfortable with your home being open to all the elements.
(((HUGS)))

Hi Subclinical :)
I am happy your DH is getting the yard ready for that brunch!
Nice when you have someone else helping toward goals. ;D

Hi Tatoulia :)
Sorry the washer is being monopolized today.
How's the curtain rod/chandelier project going?
WAY TO GO! for shredding more diaries.
That kind of stuff is always the hardest emotionally.
Setting out perfectly good items by the trash/curb is a very good and acceptable way to recycle them and it is often the easiest way to get things out of our homes and gone.
I have a rug rolled up and in the car trunk to donate to the no-kill animal shelter even though it is still a very nice rug.
Homeless animals deserve nice things too. ;D

I was so very sleepy yesterday since I had very little sleep the night before.
Steven has been staying up late and making lots of noise and then getting up early and making lots of noise.
He is very inconsiderate.
I am still sleepy today but need to make me some proper food then clean kitchen.
A co-worker of his that he's known for over 20 years died this week, laryngeal cancer.
The man was his age and I am hoping that he realizes that he can/will die someday too and what he will be leaving behind is a nightmare.
My personal effects are minimal and will be very easy to eliminate because when I am gone I want to leave only good memories. :)

I will just hope someone will take it too. At least you are giving it a chance.

Sorry about the laundry, but hooray for the papers! Are they your old diaries you are shredding?

My mom gave me a diary my paternal grandmother kept on her last vacation with my grandfather when she had terminal cancer. Mom had never opened it. I felt funny about opening it, but I also hoped it would give me a chance to know her better because I was a young teen when she died.

She had written on 7 pages - basically cataloging where she stayed and what she ate. Very personal details like "took a taxi to the resort" the only thing remotely personal was that one night she wrote that they went back to the room after dinner and went to bed early because she didn't feel well.

Yet, I still have it because when I pick it up, I think of her carrying it around with her.

I think any clearing out I do this week will just be helping dd2 gather up her stuff and get off to school.

Good morning!

Cannot get at laundry today. I wonder if that guy is back and maybe they didn't break up? Hard to say but someone is hogging the place and has left piles of laundry on my level, which makes no sense. Just piggy behavior. But I'm not stressing-- I will do on Wednesday when I am home,

I have dr appt today. Just a check up. I also have decided to chuck the rug in my library area. I'll vacuum but not shampoo. I don't have the strength to take it to goodwill so will out out back and generally expect to see it gone tomorrow--a lot of people pick through the trash for stuff so I'm hoping someone will take it. Please don't be upset, SubC, I'm doing what I can these days. I would have to shampoo it before donating and that is simply beyond me today.

I have lots more to do to get ready for having curtain rods hung. Sorry I am obsessing.

Hello! Cool water clinks!

Working on papers. Found a few more diaries and read some of them. Feeling weird about some of it. But they are gone. All shredded.

Creating a few stresses where they don't need to be. Wishing Tillie could stop by. 😀

Iced tea clinks!

I fell asleep very early last night. Had a good day with brother then went for early dinner with BF after running some errands. Today I'll see mom.

I have to really clear off dining table and get living room organized today. I hoping to have my curtain rods hung Monday or Wednesday so I can pick up my drapes next weekend. I do not want a bunch of fabric laying around my house getting filthy while I await the rods being hung.

So I hope I can pull it together tonight and get done stuff done. I may have my current light fixture taken down at the same time as I am afraid the guy will break it while putting drapes up. Since I'll be selling it anyway, no need to have it up while I figure out who will hang the chandelier for me.

So I need to look alive at some point. Have a great day, everyone!

Anony, you just have to keep thinking "it only gets better from here" and not give up working on it.

Tillie, I'm so glad you are having a nice day!

I have been working in the studio again. I am firing the kiln, and I emptied another bucket, so once that is washed it can go in the "back to school" pile.

I also washed some plaster molds and set them on the towel on the porch to dry (I had fallen off from that) and threw three food containers that can't be recycled into my trash.

I also put my old, still usable but I don't like it mop in the back to school pile for when the kids dump water on the floor. Dh bought me a new better mop, and this mop is better than the big sponge the kids have been using for such accidents.

Dh got mad at me about my bike today because I never ride it and it is always in the way in the studio/shop. He put it up in long term storage in the rafters, which I guess is ok now. Maybe by spring I will have a parking spot for it in the garage? I would like to start riding again, but with the construction, there is no time. It's actually Dd's old bike. My bike was my high school friend's mom's bike, and Dd's old one is newer and better, so "mine" is now in the goodwill pile with the floor lamps.

Dh is working on getting the yard in shape because we are having a brunch here in 3 weeks before ds's wedding, so he also had me picking up yard debris today. It is time for another bonfire!

I had a great laugh, too, Tillie--thank you for that!

YES Anony these are phases in our lives, and we are transitioning to a new phase! Great to see it that way-lifts the shame!

Glad you found a dress, SubC. I hope one of the two fits!

I am home/fine day with brother. Brother lent me his good tape measure so I'm all set there!

Drapes will be ready next weekend.

I will catch up with you later! So terribly pleased to hear the weather is on your side right now, Tillie!

....ha ha ha...Thanks for the giggle, Tillie! I guess i needed it at this point, too?! I was kinda hoping you were leading up to some magical answer that i hadnt heard of or tried...ha ha Id be pretty hoarse after 12 years of screaming like i have been! I think im gonna continue the reign of counter-terror on the cat, and then approach his humans with an offer to pay for him to be fixed. That should help at least somewhat....i think...and i hope...
Ive killed 3 big spiders already & its not even noon yet?!! I hope the tarp doesnt increase the indoor spider traffic?!?
Its funny how my secret horrid house conditions shifted after my friend came here to help me. Im not sure why, but i feel like it is more like an understandable phase in my life now. I dont want to get too comfortable with it being 'ok', tho...
~☆~Happy day to everyone!~☆~ :D

Good Morning Everybody :)
Iced tea "CLINK!"

WAY TO GO!!! Tatoulia :D
Bet it was real nice to have those freshly cleaned areas to enjoy (((HUGS)))
Hoping your Saturday with Brother goes smoothly.

Hi Subclinical :)
WAY TO GO! for ordering the dresses.
My fingers are crossed that the dress is everything the ad/photo suggested it is.

Hi Anonymoniker :)
When there is an aggressive "visitor" cat it's because they want to establish dominance and take over the territory, chasing the resident cats away so they can have all the food and comfy sleeping spots.
Only thing I know to do is to keep chasing it away
in an angry aggressive way.
Scaring it with water pistols, angry yelling and objects tossed in it's direction.
After about 12 years it will be old and finally die of natural causes.

Lovely day here today, not smoky and won't get unreasonably hot.
While it's still cool this morning I am going to remove everything from the fridge and clean the heck out of it.
During the extreme heat I was just spot cleaning it because it was too hot to have things sitting out for half an hour.
Plus it's sort of empty of too much stuff right now, his stuff. YEA!

~Good Morning & ice coffee clinks to all!~ :D
Im sorry about getting the bunny's Mommy mixed up?!? Ooops?!! I usually write notes to respond as i read, but i winged it that time?! (embarrassed face emoji)
I already have a sore throat from trying to chase that cat off that is bullying my cats! He came onto the bed at 6am & attacked 2 of my cats this morning! Twice yesterday i broke up fights with him & my cats, too! I got out my old supersoaker squirt gun, but its no match for him! This cat belongs to my cherished 'good cop' neighbor, which im grateful for.....geeez....i dont know what to do....

I ordered a dress. It should arrive at least 6 days before the wedding and is returnable (actually I ordered it in two sizes, so one is a definite return) so I guess I am still looking jic.

Anony, I'm really glad the earth house looks like a good plan!

Discarding toxic people is one of the hardest but most rewarding forms of discarding. Way to go!

It's CM's bunny who has the ouch, but I'm sure the good wishes can find their own way. My bunny still likes her new yard pen.

My kitchen is a little better. Still painting and pottering mostly.
