I'm going to skip the conversation on eating the wildlife.
Although I do really wonder how Anony gets cows in her yard.
Today I did not add anything to the floor - although dh added a lot of packaging that I have not cleaned up yet because he bought lawnmower parts by mail. I did leave a laundry basket full of clean laundry on a bed.
This is definitely a brain shift.
And I worked in my studio, starting in the back corner where the glaze area is. I put a small amount in the trash can (a pint maybe?) and filled half a paper bag with recycling. I set two items aside to donate and I filled a 14" cube box with items that are ready to return to my classroom. I revealed a small additional patch of floor and removed all the non-glaze items from the glaze shelf. Dh was pleased enough to buy me two new work lights to brighten up the corner so I will continue.
It's a tiny start, but it is a start.
I need to run the dishwasher.

Hello again Everybody :)
Hi Anonymoniker :) The trick to eating rattle snake is in knowing how to fillet them. Then I like to dredge them in flour seasoned with just salt & pepper and drop the pieces into very hot sizzling oil. YUM! ;P If you ever get the chance, without poaching, you really must taste some properly cooked javalina. Kind of like the sweetest tastiest pork ever! YEA!!! that the site is easier for you to use now. :D
Hi Tatoulia :) Your friend is a true treasure ((((HUGS Friend)))) It has been such a pleasure working along side you and seeing all your progress. You've come such a long way. ((((HUGS Tatoulia))))
Well got everything except the grass watered and will do that after the intense sun has moved toward the West horizon. Lit the burn barrel, got that all done. Took a shower and washed my hair. Getting the stuff ready to assemble my macaroni salad now while watching "The Boy" on Netflix.

~Good Morning to all!~ The layout of this site is now easier to use on my phone! YEA! Tillie, i come across javalina hunters along my fence periodically & when i was in severe poverty i was tempted to hunt one to feed my cats. Ive heard its really good! I also got some javalina-proof bins for the dry cat food. I kinda like the idea of eating predators that are too close, or animals that damage my place. I did that once with a rattlesnake, not knowing itd be full of bones & ribs. I thought itd be like a long hot dog...ha ha...it was good tho, in a Thia coconut curry sauce! Tatoulia, i am so proud of you! Youre really making progress! Youve made great inner and outter progress! SubC, i laughed so hard about the things on your couch. I can so relate! The stuff from my bed is now in a box on my couch, so theres nowhere to sit & play my drum to my new stereo system. The bins are stacked up on the floor from the skunk scene. I want to be choosy about what i keep, but move some bins of stuff into my storage trailer. I think im going to write a funny poem about my place for gratitude, about what it is & isnt~☆~ha ha~♡~ Next im going to clean more in my kitty's RV. Not the vacuum yet. She has been laying on the trash bag in the most disgusting place. Cats are so mysterious?!? Im not gonna stir up the yucky stuff till she goes out for the afternoon to sleep wherever it is she goes. Porter, i made a list of what i want to have accomplished in a year. * new porch couch covers * new kayak cover * cleaned under trailer & sand * garden fence decor * panels on front & decor ~☆♡☆~ Happy Homing to all my Homies!~☆♡☆~

This is what friend just emailed me.:
"Do what you can today and we'll tackle the rest on Monday and make a clean sweep of it. If you think you'll be needing any cleaning gear, stock up on that and we'll give it a good going over. This way it will be clean and fresh and healthier for you and kitty and you'll be able to keep it that way more easily."
Can you believe this? She is in US for two weeks and she's putting all this time and effort into improving my life.

Hello hello! SubC great work on the floors! And moving to an area that will bug you and that you will notice is a good idea!
Tillie, when I was reading SubC's post and her comment that she couldn't do this, I was thinking about what a process this has been and how this process put me where I am today. And then you wrote about it! It hasn't been a quick or easy fix but together we are doing this. Letting go feels good.
Thank you all so much for your support, which got me to this point, and the support that will continue to drive me. Honestly while I am not lamenting the foolish purchases I have made, (no point), this has been a lesson i am able to apply while in a store. That has been a relief.
Well off to finish making my bed with fresh linens. On my third load of laundry.
OH she asked me about microwave and I said I want to toss it. So we will do that Monday.night.

Good very early morning Everybody :) Chai masala "Clink!"
Hi Subclinical :) WAY TO GO! Great start on the June Challenge! Really good progress to already be able to see what type of things you need to find a proper place to get them. :D
Hi Tatoulia :) How absolutely wonderful!!! In such a short amount of time you and your friend have done so much and have made so many solid decisions and plans for your home. You have been working so long and hard on getting your home in order. Best of all is you have been doing all the taxing mental work to be where you are today. That's the hardest part about decluttering and you have done it. (((((HUGS))))) You are ready. Ready to move forward. Words can not express how extremely proud of you I am.
Just going on 5:00am here. Been awake since 3:30. Couldn't fall back to sleep so I got up. Today I need to get out and water trees & stuff soon as the sun comes up. Going to be warm today and hot on Sunday and Monday. Will light the burn barrel while I'm out there. Then I will wash my hair to get the dust and burn barrel smoke off of me. ;P Still need to make my macaroni salad too. So that's all I'll be doing today.

Tatoulia, I am certain I could not do what you are doing. I think it's amazing and I hope you love your results.
I didn't put anything on the floor yesterday. I also put away the two baskets of laundry that were sitting on the floor if the den, so the den floor is now item free.
I have changed to putting things on the couch. Clearly this is not a permanent solution, but things on the couch actually bother me, and it is already becoming clear the type of things that are going to need a place to go.

Coffe clinks! Just enjoyed your posts!
Tillie WOW you did a lot! Great work! Anony I had to look up javelina. I'm glad your panels are ordered and that you have found a way to compost without javelina interference.
Ok I'm going to have to decide what to work on this AM before I do anything else. It is very early here. And humid. I'm washing my sheets now.

Good morning! Thank you so much for the praise and support! I kept telling her ?not today' and she kept telling me, let's get to work. Boy what an eye she has. Moving oil paintings, grouping stuff, arranging, etc. she had very detailed drawings of my house together with paint samples, color ideas, etc. we didn't spend much time with those because she just walked in, talked about how much she loved the drapes and the chandelier then she started moving furniture. She loves both my couches and is no longer suggesting that we slipcover them.
My desk looks so great in its new place. She loved how the seat covers look. Hidden shame: I still have one chair to do.
We were here two hours. (I was parked on the street and had only two hours). She took down my tapestry, relocated it to bedroom, took this thing and that thing, etc. remarkable.
Now she's taking on The Purge. That is Monday. I'm just going to let it go.
I have a beautiful carved table with granite top in my bedroom. As she was rearranging bedroom art, I out of the blue said, should I get rid of that table and she said yes. So I'll see if BF wants it otherwise I'll consign. But I jest, he will want it. I'm looking at things differently. I have one chair that is non-negotiable and she was good with that. Even though we both know I could sell for pretty good money (solid, hand made mid century modern). It is the one piece that reminds me of both my parents. I do not have a lot that reminds me of my father and absolutely nothing that reminds me of the both of them. She said fine, could we add a cushion?
We've decided on wallpaper for one wall in bedroom and paint color. I'll be getting new closet doors for bedroom.
The best part is she's making me get rid of stuff. I didn't once say anything along the lines of, guess how much I've gotten rid of in the past five years. . We are talking now, going forward. What I have or haven't done in the past is irrelevant.

We did it. She came over to my filthy house and we moved furniture and hung artwork and swept up dust bunnies and the house looks much better. We made huge progress. She's coming over one day with bags and boxes to clear out stuff. Just get rid of things. And I'm good with it.
I am tired. Forgive me for not reading the posts. I am tired.

Hello again :)
Hi Anonymoniker :) Yea! for a javalina proof composter! Javalina is still my most favorite meat. Ribs slowly BBQed over a mesquite fire. ;D Looking forward to hearing all about the progress with your panels.
Well I did it... Cleaned that back door area thoroughly, 100%. Took outside all 3 litter boxes and scrubbed, scoured & sanitized them. Also vacuumed the carpet everywhere except I did not pull out the couch & big stuff like that. While I was at it I cleaned the toilet inside & out and since I was down on my knees anyways I washed the bathroom floor too. Also changed out the vacuum cleaner bag, it was time. Just ate some lunch, it's 3:30pm. :)

~♡~Coffee clinks to all & Happy June!~♡~ Porter, CONGRATULATIONS!!! And that is so wonderful that your daughter is spending time with y'all!!! You are so brave to just eliminate everything from the past that bothers you & start a fresh new life!!! I often wonder what it would take for me to do that. I think having such a dramatic & substantial change, like a new partner, could do it for me, too...maybe...? I like that question about where we'd like to be in a year. I will think about that today while i swim!!! And im getting a season pass this year!!! Tillie, the dollhouse sounds so nice! You can make it the home of your dreams! I remember loving all the antique pieces of ours growing up! I could absolutely enjoy that again! Tatoulia, that is amazing that your physical health has improved, as well as your happiness! You are on the right path! And many times, it takes a drastic change for someone to change & that is likely with your brother, too,so it is very possible that he will grow in a better way from your decision, too. SubC, what a neat story about your classroom being so clean they thought you were leaving! And i love that you let your OCD student help in that way. That sort of thing can make a huge impact on a child when they can actually help out a respected adult in authority! Im sure you know that, cuz you sound like a most amazing teacher! I finally found a javalina-proof composter & i am so excited! Ive been looking for at least a year! I love the cycle of growing food with compost from my food scraps! I have at least one cow in here again...its really hard for them to find their way back out & even harder for me to try to herd them out. The panels are ordered, so while im waiting i want to clean up & do some loads to the dump, now that i have my own truck! Id just been thinking it might be ok to put all my drawers back & my closet stuff, since i hadnt heard or seen the skunk in all this time, then almost immediately after i had that thought, the thing started making noise in the wall. Now im really hoping it hasnt been quiet cuz it has had a litter of those disgusting things...oh well, im just gonna focus on the humor of it all & be grateful i have a home in the forest with all my kitties & my basic needs met~☆♡☆~

Good Morning! :D
Hi Subclinical :) GREAT! plan sorting and storing things as to project! WAY TO GO! getting your classroom cleared & cleaned so well! Good luck with all your plans for today :D
Hi Tatoulia :) Have a wonderful time with your friend and quit fretting about the state of your home. WAY TO GO! for bedroom and bathroom being clean & tidy. (((HUG)))
My plan is to take one area in here and do it to completion, one area a day this 1st week. This way more things will get cleaned than just the floors. Then after this week it will be back to just needing some daily attention to keep it from falling back into being squalorous. Today I will clean the area by the back door that leads into the livingroom one direction or the bathroom the other direction. This space is where two litter boxes and the water heater are located. So it gets really dirty very quickly and it's bugging me the most about the house. Dirt/sand tracked in from outside through the back door and dust from the litter settles on everything. Going to wash everywhere there including wiping down the walls. Happy it's a very small space! :D
Good Luck And Best Wishes Everybody With The June Challenge! :D

Early good morning! I am dressed and have a load of laundry going. Need to leave here at 7:30 to meet my friend. My house is pitiful. She's told me not to worry, that we are family. Ok. She will organize me in no time. I'll just accept that it's terrible and filthy (bedroom and bathroom are fine).
I used to be late for work every day. Even the days I worked from home. I now get up before my alarm. So much more relaxed.
Anony please do not feel like a failure. We all wanted you to have that job and to have some $ coming in. She found free labor, which is in sharp contrast to your offer to work for free and her insistence on paying you. She may be back, asking you to help out. With respect to your family, I wish you were my family. I have nothing but room for saying, today is another day. Obviously I have after many decades and of abuse decided to say that for myself.
SubC I'm glad they love you so much at your job! And I'm still loving the ocd kid. You did a lot for his self-esteem and self- worth.
Tillie oh the dollhouse! Porter! Congratulations. I'm happy that your daughter is finding her place in the world and with you. It's all about time.

Porter, congratulations! And I am so happy about your daughter!
Tillie, how nice that you have your dollhouse all fixed up! I can imagine it with the lights in the little windows....
Yes, the school boxes are a hodgepodge. This most recent one is mostly pieces that I made as examples for my students.
I am planning to change how I store materials for next year - instead of all of the examples together, all of the tools together, all of the molds together... I am going to box up all of the items I need for each project, label the box (including a list of contents) and store it in my closet. Then when we do the unit, I will be able to grab the box and set up on my demo table without pulling items from all over the room. Also, I will not spend so much time stopping students from misusing items (if the plate molds are not stacked with the slip trays I won't have to tell them not to use the plate molds to carry slip....) or answering "what is this for?" With "we are going to use that for xyz, we'll get to it in January...." and refocusing.
So the good part about that is that much of it needs to be sorted and TAKEN BACK to school. There will be a few days over the summer when I can get into my room.
When I packed this box up yesterday, I filled another big black plastic bag for the dumpster.
Here is a funny thing - my room is stripped so clean that my boss was afraid I was going to quit. When I had my end of the year review yesterday, she asked multiple times "you are coming back next year, right? And "are you planning to leave?"
Today I am: Working on evaluations Finishing processing the strawberries Running a load of laundry Starting the floor project.
I do not have to go anywhere.

Hello Everybody :)
Hi Porter :) Great to "see" you today! :D How wonderful that your Daughter is spending time with you!!! During the month of June we are having a challenge. It could have been anything but we decided we would all concentrate on our floors. Tatoulia and I want to dedicate more time to cleaning our floors and Subclinical wants to focus on reclaiming more clear floor space. Anonymoniker will join in too! ;D
Hi Subclinical :) I'm guessing that most boxes from school are an assortment of items. The kind of stuff that needs to be sorted out, like put with like and then put away where it belongs? That kind of decluttering takes time and is mentally challenging. Especially when we then have to make a set place for the stuff to go in our homes. Please don't think you are not doing much in a day when even doing some of it takes so much to do.
Hi Tatoulia :) I understood that there was another visitor visiting at the same time. ;) WAY TO GO! for such a GREAT check up! (((hug))) Have a wonderful time with your friend. :D
Today I finished the doll house work and now it's all finished, neat & tidy. But just like a regular size house, it is never finished forever. New things come in, somethings go out and sometimes I like to redecorate an area and rearrange. So happy I replaced the window glass (plastic). The new stuff is all crystal clear and not all scratched up and warped. Looks so pretty when I turn on the lights now and peek in the windows. All the electrical lights are working perfectly again. Helps being the daughter of an electrician. ;)

I'm totally lost in what's going on with y'all. Since it's the end of the month , I think y'all start A new thread? I can find you all with details again. I think I've missed too much to know what's really going on. My adhd, The thread is overwhelmingly large. To gleen it all.
Please post a who what when where and why , about what's going on and your plans about where you plan to be in one year.
Marcie and I are planning to get married. I asked her last weekend while we were swimming in the lake. It was like a sunset made in heaven , floating way out , first I asked if she thought we were meant for each other , then I asked her to marry me. The moment lasted like forever. About an hour before we step on land again . I didn't plan it. I just got caught up in the moments of being a pair in love in nature. She immediately said yes.
I started moving into Marcie's house, purging major amounts. I'm in the largest closet in her attic. My house has become barren. I'm in a reverse spiral bringing everything from the furthest place upstairs out. Selling off almost all my old life, but recording it with commentary. It's not the same. , but it's a new life . Letting go of the past.
My daughter stays with us now on long weekends. There's no drama.

Tatoulia, I'm glad things are going so well for you!
Anony, I'm sorry things are hard for you with your family. You should not feel bad about your cat lady job. You are better off having your time.
I brought the last box home from school today and I put it on the floor. I simply couldn't come up with an alternative. But I will start making progress tomorrow.

Hello Anony and Tillie. Thank you for support. Dr was so thrilled with the news re getting away from sibling. I've told her that I've been sleeping like an angel, I'm up early and happy, and guess what?my blood pressure was the lowest we've ever seen it! Afterward I walked part of the way home and met up with BF. We then picked up our visitor from England and took her to the airport. I now have our other overseas visitor all to myself!
She and I are doing errands tomorrow. Some for her, some got me.
I'm off work til next Thursday!!!
Will write more tmr. I'm so tired.

~♡~Good morning!~♡~ Tillie, your dollhouse, new nightgown, new kitty food & visit in town sound really nice! YEA! :D Tatoulia, i agree about your brother's reaction. He needs to live with the consequences of his actions. ~♡~ SubC, i have also had a lot of close calls lately, like yours with the important papers & the water spill. I feel like they are messages from the Universe~☆~ The floor in my hallway is carpeted, but underneath, the particle board has rotted away. It is not worth fixing compared to other things. I basically look at the humor in it, which has been a handy survival skill. The wash cloth over the hole in the middle just reminds me not to step there, so i dont twist my ankle, thats all it is for. Losing the catlady job has really bothered me. I feel like im a failure at being a catlady. I know someone doing it for free is better for her, but it has shaken me. I sent a b-day card & gift to the sister that kinda speaks to me & im always such a wreck choosing words, gifts, anything with them, cuz im sure they are judging me harshly...looking for signs im still on drugs, or crazy from the drugs, even tho i quit 10 years ago. They are the ones on drugs now, but theyd never see it like that. Part of me wishes id just cut off ties years ago...tho i think thats what they tried to do with me, but i kept pushing it....it is a no-win situation.....

Good Morning Everybody :)
Hi Subclinical :) WAY TO GO!!! for moving the papers! It was not a small thing, every little bit gets you closer to your goals. Sorry you are feeling sad and wish there was a way to help you at this time. (((HUGS))) I think you deserved to eat take out sushi. Toss any guilt along with the trays out and please just move on from it.
Hi Tatoulia :) Sibling must still be angry about BF not just giving him the sneaker money like he demanded. Sibling is upset that the manipulations he used to use to get what he wants are no longer working. Now he's playing the "poor me" boohoo game. Good luck with your Dr. appt. (((hug)))
Since tomorrow is June 1st. I am taking today off and will work on floors tomorrow as promised. Cloudy overcast this morning but no rain predicted. Laundry is all caught up, kitchen is looking good. Floors are really terrible but I can live with that until tomorrow. ;P

Thanks for the reassurance on Tigger. He's a great cat. I'll call for an appt today and we will take him.
SubC good work getting papers off the floor! It turned out to be a big thing! I have stuff in my floors in the living area. That's part of my challenge. Clean and clear.
I'm sorry you are feeling down. It makes life so much harder to navigate. Try to enjoy your delicious berries and remind yourself that you didn't waste yesterday.
I'm sad about sibling. He went to mom's Tuesday night and mom said it was tough, he was crying and crying. I know BF has tried to call him but he either didn't pick up or he's blocked him. I guess he spouted off a little about BF. So I'm sad.
Well off to get ready for work. I have to leave early for dr appt. since I'm leaving from office I have to leave a lot earlier. Plus the hospital area is very congested.

Yesterday I moved a few papers off the floor. I didn't write about it because it was such a small thing.
Last night my Dd accidentally spilled a glass of water - soaking the exact spot where the papers used to be - a lucky reminder to me that important things don't belong on the floor!
(Ok, most things don't belong on the floor)
I am behind on my evaluations. I made bad choices about time use yesterday. I am sad about coming back from seeing my boy. I really miss him. And feeling overwhelmed and sad about a lot of things in my life. I know I need to just keep taking steps forward and focus on positive things, but it is so much easier to see the negative ones.
Last night dh offered to bring home sushi and I said yes. Now there are two plastic sushi containers staring at me accusingly from the table. They do not recycle.

Hi Tatoulia :) Thank you
YES! take that boy to the Veterinarian! Old cats do start looking creaky and scrawny. They tend to get cold more easily because they are scrawny. You say he is happy, playing and eating alright. The Vet may suggest additional vitamins or something. But as long as he is having good days that's all that matters. Just like us, cats get old and have all the same geriatric challenges as we have. ;) The Veterinarian will be able to put your minds at easy as to how he's really feeling (((((HUGS)))))
WAY TO GO! for a good day at the office ;)
I had to do some watering this afternoon. Stupid plants! They were wilting in low 80 degree temps. At least the trees, bushes & shrubs weren't dying of thirst.

Tillie! You had a great day! Good work on finding gentler kitty food, for getting the fuses and for the thrift store find! Great day!
SubC you amaze me with your strawberries! Yes the floor challenge will be a challenge for all of us. But we can do it!
Anony you are so sweet and so positive! I appreciate your encouragement and I'm like looking forward to hearing about the panels.
Now: can we encourage you to join the floor challenge? I do not want you getting hurt. Is there anything at all you can do to stabilize the floor?
Miss kitty is next to me and so sweet. In other news, BF's cat is nearing the end. We are going to take him to the vet to get him checked out, but he's around 19 we think. I'm sad. Bf asked if we should take him to the vet "one last time" to have him checked out. He still seems happy but we are mixing chopped up turkey in his food now. And he's looking pretty creaky. If vet thinks he's doing okay, I think he could last a bit longer. He's still playing and super cute. He just looks really old. He's a great cat. I'll call for the appointment tomorrow.
I had a good day at office. I felt so refreshed after all those days off. I stayed til 7:30 but would've liked to have gotten more done.

Hello Everyone :)
Hi Anonymoniker :) A washcloth won't help much :( If you can not lay down some sheets of plywood How about folded down cardboard boxes to line that hallway? Hope you join us in the challenge and fix up the floor! :)
Hi Subclinical :) WTG! Great start on the floor challenge! :D SO jealous of your strawberries. They aren't grown out here. Neither are peaches and I would so love to pick peaches too. Nothing tastes better than homemade peach ice cream. ;) Sure, there are a few grown in private gardens but to pick them would be stealing. LOL ;P
Well my itty bitty teeny weeny box of fuses for the doll house arrived today in the mail. Still waiting for the 6 itty bitty teeny weeny plates. Got Poohkie the special gentler cereal and she really likes the taste. Got the fixins for macaroni salad & a little bit of other stuff. Stopped by the thrift shop and dropped of a small donation. Had a WONDERFUL time talking with lots of people and catching up on things. When I put away my flannel night gowns this Spring, I noted that I should start looking for replacements since they are getting a little ratty looking. Today I found a beautiful flannel night gown!!! New condition, 100% cotton and really pretty colors, 3 dollars. YEA!

Anony, I hope your panels turn out well! I am worried about your floor. Could you put a board on it?
The floor challenge should be at least a little hard, or it's not a challenge, right?
So far today i've Been just working on not putting things on the floor. I unloaded the last school stuff from my car - I out it on the tops of piles that are already on the floor, so it's sort of a compromise, but there is really nowhere else right now.
I picked my suitcase up off the floor, put it on the bed, unpacked it, and then put it away under he stairs where it belongs.
I picked 31lbs of strawberries. I have half washed and hulled and on cookie sheets. Two cookie sheets are in the freezer and I will switch them later.
I planned on doing a class of evaluations today, but I am havintrouble getting started.

Im gonna think on what i could do with my floors in June? My hallway is now filled with stuff over the holes & a washcloth, so i dont fall through, or twist my ankle. The challenge is whatever you want to work on. We three have decided to work on our floors but you can choose anything you need to pay more attention to during this next month. It can even be committing to flossing your teeth every day. ;D
Going into town today. Need cat food. Planning to get some of that kibble for sensitive cat tummies for my farting girl cat. Her main problem is that she has always wanted to eat non food items. I try to keep her from doing that but she's sneaky. She eats Styrofoam, carpet, string, ribbon, Mylar, tape, sticks, leather, yarn, thin electrical wires, etc. you get the idea. She has also eaten small objects like buttons and a tiny pinwheel that goes in a Summertime drink as a decoration. She didn't chew it up, just swallowed it whole. Fortunately, she did not eat the long toothpick it was attached to. Sunny and warm today with a chance of evening showers.

Good morning!
Hey SubC don't make it too hard but if you think this is doable, then let's give it a go! Remember, it's us and we are a forgiving bunch.
Tillie thank you for suggesting a challenge! We haven't done one in a while and it's time!

Tatoulia, sometimes you just need a different perspective. Spending time at my son's house and the places he took me helped me see my house differently when I got home.
I put things on my floor because I don't have enough appropriate places to put things/I have too many things.
I will focus on either clearing the floor in a living area or reclaiming some floor space in the basement or studio every day. I pledge not to put new items on the floor (except laundry - sometimes it has to wait on the laundry room or bathroom floor) in the month of June. I will not move items that are on the floor in one space to the floor in another space.
That sounds so easy and normal and I know it is going to be hard....

GET RID OF THOSE PILLOWS!
GREAT challenge! :)
Now we need to help Subclinical with her plan.
OK... One day each & every week throughout June I commit to washing the linoleum and vacuuming the carpet properly & completely.
My dead and trashed blue 72 VW Beetle is still here. Buried deep in the carport hoard. Every time I found someone interested in buying it Steven intimidated them into backing out of the sale. Now I can't sell it because there's too much in the way to get it out. :P

We cross-posted!
Okay, after reading Tillie's post, I'm prepared to say for the month of June, I want to clean my floors once a week: 1. Vacuum bedroom 2. Vacuum rug under desk 3. Sweep hallway, living room, den 4. Sweep kitchen 5. Sweep and mop bathroom.
Weekly commitment. Let's do this!
(Yes I skipped washing kitchen floor).

Welcome home, SubC! So happy for your good vacation! And look you're back to chores already!
That is alot of evaluations in front of you!
We do not need to do the same challenge, SubC. I'd like to formulate something re floors. I tend to put stuff on my floors.
With God as my witness, I hadn't thought about separate amazon acts. What is the matter with me?
Tillie I am glad you found a way to reclaim a vehicle. What a difficult life for you. I'm at peace with my decision. In a year and a half or so, if I want, I'll buy a new car and let that be my last car. I've long wanted a baby blue convertible VW bug. Would be so cute. I checked on the website and they aren't offering baby blue right now. But we do not know what the future holds.
Vacuumed bedroom, swept and mopped the hallway. There is so much more to be fine but I'm good with it for now.
Ok a year or so ago a dear, dear friend sent me throw pillows that I don't like at all. I've kept them in my closet. I need the space. I don't know if she's coming to visit this year or not. Tell me to get rid of them.

OK! :D
Seems like floors are a repeating theme here. Lets get this challenge all figured out as to what we will be doing.
I have to sweep my floor every day and several times a day because of kitty litter. This is the area by the back door and also leads into the bathroom, so I sweep the bathroom too.
Subclinical needs to clear off floors.
I could do better with washing the kitchen floor. Lots of times I just drop a wet rag onto the floor & scooch it around with my foot.
How about us setting aside a set amount of time a day or week to improve our floors? Or make a definite commitment to doing X amount of work on our floors?
I would like to commit to one day a week to do the floors here properly & completely, not just hit or miss like I've ben doing lately. That would be washing linoleum and vacuuming carpet.
Hi Subclinical :) So glad you had a fantastic little vacation! :D I'm jealous of you getting to pick strawberries. WTG! getting dishes & laundry done ;D
Hi Tatoulia :) Good luck getting that account settled. WTG! for dusting your bedroom! ;D

Sounds like you need a new, private to you amazon account.
I am back from vacation. We had a fantastic time.
I have started the dishwasher, run a load of laundry, and done my chores.
Tomorrow I plan to go to the u-pick and get strawberries. My regular place had crop failure this year, so I hope the new place is good! I will pick until I am worn out and then bring them home, wash them, cut the stems off, and freeze them. Later I will eat them or make jam. Last year I ate them all. I might need to pick two days....
Other things I plan for tomorrow: one class of evaluations - my evaluations are due June 8. I have done one class and have eight more to go.
And maybe another load of laundry.
I am up for a June challenge - do we all do basically the same challenge, or the same theme? I need to clear off my floors in many rooms.

Yes!! On the challenge! Can anyone here help me formulate one? I'd like to concentrate on my floors in some way! Any suggestions are welcome!
I've gotten the car, I've been to mom's to change the kitty litter and take out her trash. My brother had ordered something from amazon and for some reason had it sent here. I took it to mom's, as he had been in touch with her and asked if I'd bring it to her. Mom seemed fine with it so I did. We got locked out of our amazon acct. I recently changed the password unrelated to him, he had it but he must've lost it Bf dude I had s ton of emails from amazon when I got up this AM. Now to reset it they are asking me the expiration date if the on-file payment method. Well I had deleted all of my payment methods (I can put in when buying, then Delete immediately after). I don't know his info so I can't reset password.
I have to vacuum bedroom, I still haven't done that. But it's dusted.

Hi CriticalMass :) With all you have told us about that vehicle... you did the right thing ((((HUGS)))) WTG! for your mechanic negotiating for a little more for you! :D Looking forward to seeing you around a little more!
Hi Tatoulia :) I made jasmine rice and stir fried assorted vegetables tossed in sweet & sour sauce and polska kielbasa cut up into little circles in it too. YEA!!!! for wearing casual Summer dress and feeling GREAT in it! ;D Except for insurance and gasoline that car of yours has really been very inexpensive for you.
Does anybody want to do some kind of challenge or decluttering/cleaning type game in June? I think we all need to add a little bit of fun into our Summertime tasks. ;D
Until Steven had that leg blood clot and hospitalization, I had no vehicle for almost 2 decades. I had a 72 VW Beetle but Steven took it and totally trashed it. After that he was using his truck that his , now dead, mother gave him. He then bought this Mercury and immediately disabled the truck so I would still be without a vehicle. While he was in hospital me & neighbor Friend (a mechanic) got the truck running again. I had all the keys to the Mercury and have kept complete control of it ever since I had to drive it home after he was admitted to the hospital. At the time I had to practically relearn how to drive again and how to drive an automatic. So I really do understand everybody's hardships. (((hugs)))

CM no pressure (take care of yourself first!) but it is such a pleasure to see you posting again!
I bought this car used over 8 years ago. I've changed battery once (about 8 years ago) and I've changed the tires and I got new windshield wipers. Oh and after an accident it was repaired (not my fault so no deductible). So I've put very little into it over the years. It had 72k miles when I bought it and it has 93k miles on it now. I think I can get about 4K for it, which would make my life so much easier. it still has a lot of life in it, as it is a Toyota. I just want to dump it to help solidify that I'm not going back to spending time with sibling. After I have eliminated my debt, which I see as being in about 20 months, I'll think about buying a new car. I only bought this one because it was coming off a corporate lease at the office and I "won" the raffle to get it at a steep discount. I had gotten rid of my beautiful 3 year old German Engineering car when I took my present position because I couldn't justify having a car like that when I didn't need it for work anymore. And the raffle came up about a month after I got rid of the car. And this car has been so good to me. I don't want to get to the point where I'm putting $ into it. Not interested.
So I've done one load of laundry and I'm working on bedroom now. Dusting.
I'm so sorry I've been babbling lately. You all are helping me so much with finding a better life for myself. Thank you.

Hi again
Tatoulia, I sure hope your mechanic can keep your car going as long as you still need it.
That was supposed to be the plan for my van, but then the final cascade of parts breaking one after another made it clear that it wasn't meant to be.
Just a little while ago, the salvage guy came and paid me for the old thing. I gave him the title and that was that. Last time I saw the van was this weekend when I went by my mechanic's driving that U-Haul. But I'd already "said my goodbyes" a couple weeks ago when I retrieved my tools and things from it.
My mechanic went to bat and negotiated more for me than the going salvage rate with this guy he knows. It's not a lot but the extra is a blessing.
I'm kind of exhausted (oh no, not another car part pun!). So I'll sign off for now, but I'll be back here more often like I used to be. All the best to everyone in the meantime.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you're cooking, Tillie!
We just dropped my car off at the mechanics. We shall see. I told him I'm just looking to have it last til August then I'm getting rid of it. He will call BF to discuss rather than me.
I wore one of my T-shirt dresses and it felt great.
Now to put the music back on and start checking more things off my list.

Good Morning Everybody :) "Clink!"
Hi CriticalMass :) So good to hear from you! I am glad that you have come to terms with the demise of your old vehicle. Even while still owning that van you have been without a working vehicle far too long for too many times. My fingers are crossed that this will open up new brighter vehicle possibilities for you. ((((HUGS))))
Hi Anonymoniker :) YES! WTG!!! for having what you need in the new truck right where you need it! ;D
Hi Tatoulia :) Good luck with all your cleaning plans for today! ;D
I'm doing laundry right now. Going to be a beautiful sunny & hot day today, up into the 80s. Then I plan to do some food prep so I have some real food to eat whenever I get hungry. Then I will clean the kitchen again.

Good morning! It's cleaning day for me!
Enjoyed everyone's posts! Had a good chuckle that Tillie must brace herself for the package's arrival on June 18th! CM I hear you on running the windshield wipers when you meant something else entirely! So happy that hear from you!
So we've learned the blue-eyed white cat isn't an electrician! Kitty needs to find another field. I'm thinking napping.
Well I made a list of things to clean. I'm hoping to Use it for focus.
