Hey

Lately some of the sentences were incomplete and then visible and so forth and so on.
Decided to try a new thread to see if that fixes it.

To not offend anybody with Triskaidekaphobia I made this phase 14.

See you soon 😉

Yes.

Ds and ddil are on their way to her mother's wedding. They are going to stop here first overnight and we are going to celebrate his birthday. They have only been going to the grocery store and for walks with the dogs. They wear their masks. Dd2 is also coming to stay. She also wears her mask, but I am less confident about her social distancing. Dh and I are in conflict over that a bit.

Dd1 and dsil are coming for the birthday celebration on Thursday evening. We will make food for everyone and all sit far apart outside and eat it. If it rains, Dh will move the tractors and we will sit spread out in the barn. Dd1 said she might not eat.

Thank you Tillie,

We did have a wonderful day at the orchard! Took a few pictures and picked what Dh said were a good number of apples. Bought a little jar of their homemade apple butter too.

Dsil definitely wants to come over for an applesauce making day. Turns out it was his first trip to an apple orchard too! Not yet though, the apples will keep a bit, and I am still catching things up. Maybe next week.

They are working hard to include the other Grammy, but they are not comfortable with her home or social distancing practices. After today though, they decided they will ask her to meet them for Bean's first trip to the pumpkin patch (for a pumpkin to carve, not eat.) 🙃

Today I got the tomatoes picked and the stalls cleaned. I started cutting some tomatoes up for the dehydrator, but I don't have a whole batch, so I put them in the fridge.

The kids stayed for dinner and we ate a whole loaf of bread. (A smaller, homemade loaf, not the store kind) Dh and I eat a loaf in a week. This is why I think I need so much food!

The dishwasher is running and there are not too many dishes left out.

Tomorrow I get to see Bean again! I am going to his house so his parents can work on building his entertainment center. It will fit over the large glass case that holds his daddy's model ship to protect all the people and things. They are using 3/4" wood. Both of them are excellent designers and builders. When they were first dating, they built a project together for a class. Then, it got stored in our barn, they broke up for a while, and Dd scavenged the wood to build herself a bed. She was loading it in the truck when she looked down and yelled "oh [expletive]! I have to sand (first name) (expletive) (last name)'s name off my bed! It's funny now.

Mr. kitty says goodnight.🐈

Good Afternoon Everybody

Thank you Tatoulia (((hug)))
I truly appreciate the sentiment.

WTG! for working toward financial success!
One good thing about a pandemic is it helps you save money. 😀

Good luck with straightening out your table.
Hope there are places to put the stuff where they should go.
I hate having something that doesn't have a set place to be put.

The bird prints you posted are very pretty. 🙂

I am bored.
Want to play outside but it's too hot so I have to wait till evening to go outside.

Good Afternoon Everyone

Hi Subclinical
Thursday you are having the kids home?

WTG! you did a lot!
Just this morning I was wishing I had some fresh radishes to munch on.

Heavy sigh...
What is with these men who think they are invincible?
If I get it, I get it. But I would be devastated if I gave it to someone else.

Love the way you "protect" yourself from your snacks. LOL ;D

Sorry to hear about your Aunt's Brother's wife (((HUG)))

Hi Tatoulia
YEA! for help getting ALL that garbage out!
Especially now that it's warmer the neighbors should not have done that.

WAY TO GO! for paperless tables!!!! 😀

HaHaHaHaHa! what color id Tatoulia's hair?
Is there a pool?

Been watering. Got the Lilacs done and am working on the trees.
The soup is very tasty.
Good way to use up what's here.
All out of fresh produce except for some lemons but I will hold off on grocery shopping for at least another week.

Good Morning Everybody
"Clink!"

Oh Tatoulia
(((HUGS)))
You are so sweet.
Thank you but I still have a whole lot of acetaminophen and aspirin.
Plus it is very slowly getting better, it's a whole lot less painful.
No more screaming while moving into different positions.
I am thinking by next week I will be able to make a quick trip into town and until then I will take what I have and keep resting and using the heated throw.
Thank you Sweetheart 💖

Hi Subclinical
You did the right thing.
Being taken by a Raptor or Fox is preferable over being chicken pecked. (((HUG)))

Ouch for Dh's back.
Hope the doctor has good recommendations for some therapy.

That is hard, working on downsizing from feeding a large family to just the two of you at home.
Yes, your workload should be a lot lighter.
I think finding the perfect balance as to what you need on hand will just take trial and error.

You have done excellent with not salvaging everything you found for free, you now are very discerning as to what you pick up.
This thinking will help you in deciding what to plant, milk, harvest, breed so you have enough but not a bumper crop. (((HUG)))

I really hope you do get together and make applesauce.
That would be fun. 💝

Have a WONDERFUL day at the orchard! 😀

Still too smoky to hang laundry out.
But it is not as dark as the other days, yea.

Yes, Scooter has no idea just how huge the bird is that dropped that feather.
Whenever I have had any kittens I always had to keep them close to keep them from being bird chow.

I can tell by my clothes that I have lost a bit of weight since I don't have a scale.
Just have not felt like snacking & munching.
Plus there isn't any junk here to munch on or I might have been tempted.

That is indeed my before picture! Postcards and mail and work and mailers etc. I got some cleared last night and I will not allow it to look like that when my cleaners come tmr. They've been very good at ignoring it. No wonder I'm a jumbled mess.

I understand feeling less alone, SubC. My whole house used to be like that. Everywhere. Kitchen counters. Everywhere.

Tillie stay safe. If I had a way to ship you fruit, I would.

Meanwhile I am extremely proud of my savings account balance and my decreasing loan balance.

Okay either I have to go back to work or I need to finish my table.

I hide the snacks. I tuck them away behind stacks of canned goods or boxes piled in front of the cabinet so that I have to really want to get them. If I even get rid of all these piles of boxes and bins I will have no way to protect myself from snacks.

My sodas are up in the loft in the barn.

The massachusetts infection rate is under .9 and your hospitalizations peaked a while ago. You could stand more testing, but You are on the right track. I hope cases keep going down!

Tillie, I hope you enjoy your soup.

I would feel much better if people would wear masks. It is such a simple act of caring.

Dh was not being smart or careful by not going in the donut shop. He was punishing me by making me take the consequences of my opinions. If he wanted donuts, he would totally go in the shop. I am ok with not getting donuts.

He thinks about things in terms of his own risk. He honestly thinks he would know if he were sick and that he therefor isn't going to make anyone else sick, and besides, he doesn't think anything he has done is risky, so how would he be sick.

I am less concerned about me than about providing a habitat for the virus (I think I would be fine if I got sick) I am a strep carrier. I have taken a lot of antibiotics in my life for "no reason" I understand what "asymptomatic" means.

I gave him strep once when we were dating. It was going around my workplace but I didn't think I had been exposed. You'd think he would understand the concept.

My aunt's brother lost his wife this weekend.

Today I pulled a few weeds in the garden (there are still far too many) Planted beans, and picked radishes. I also did dishes (not caught up yet) and did laundry (almost caught up - even put away.) I stripped my bed and my sheets are in the wash.

I cleaned up the mess in the entryway and I picked everything up off the floor in the room I was using for a classroom.

I have one bedroom ready for kids on Thursday. I need two.

Good Morning
"Clink!"

Hi Tatoulia
Now that's the before pic of the table right?" 😉
JK

Right now so many people's homes have tables/counters like that because they are working from home and home was never meant to be the office or classroom too.

As for getting back into offices and classrooms it's just too hard to figure things out because we still don't have a handle on the virus spread.
So much is still unknown and what we do know is that staying home seems to help a little.

I saw cities are allowing restaurants to use sidewalk but never thought that yes, there would be dog walkers out too.
How lovely. ;p

Hi Subclinical
WAY TO GO! making ice-cream mix!!!
and not letting dishes pile up too high!
Hope you do make more icecream and cheese too.

Great job hatching out 17 chicks and hoping they are all good laying Hens for you.

WTG! Dh for working on the forest paths and hope he pulled any poison ivy on the trail so you can safely walk there daily. 😀

You need to walk since you can't go swimming in the pool.

In Nevada cases have been going up quickly since places have reopened but mainly in the cities.
People from out here travel to the cities to shop and go to doctor appointments, etc.
Tourists are coming to Nevada from all over.
I knew it was only a matter of time until it was here.
Now I need to get groceries this week but I'm too scared to go.
What I really want is some more Summertime fruits like watermelon, peaches, plums, etc.
I think the two hot spots here would be the grocery stores because everybody goes there.
Two of the new positive cases were asymptomatic.
Over 100 of the tests have not been processed yet and the county website is slow getting new numbers posted as they come in.

I will wait and see how I feel Thursday morning when WallyWorld only allows old people in at 7am.

Steven still has not ever washed his hands and he still goes out too many times a week.
He refuses to wear a mask or social distance.
So I probably should grocery shop, I would probably be safer than being at home. >:(

Garbage out!!!! Two young men walking by offered to take it for me so I let them. I had my garbage, my recycling and my neighbors two big trash bags. They had put theirs out back and someone rummaged through it to find out who did ur abs deposited it on the stoop. They were going out of town. I wish they hadn't done it but I got help!!!

So nice. Ok all the papers are off of my coffee table. What a relief. My dining table is still a zoo.

I'll keep chipping away.

Chickens eat pretty much anything. They are not quite as efficient as pigs - they leave citrus rinds for example, but they are great speed composters.

The other chicks were picking on the dwarf chicken, so I let her free. She spent a few days hanging around the barn and then unfortunately disappeared. I'm guessing hawk. But maybe she's just living somewhere in the woods....

The rest of the chicks are currently separated into two pens. "Roosters" (7), and "possibly hens" (7), but I think three of the latter are late blooming roosters. I don't know why I get so few hens!

After the first frost the rooster pen will be put to work clearing my garden. They should be big enough to be hawkproof.

Scooter clearly doesn't know what that feather is. Mr. kitty is terrified of the big owls. Of course, he is also afraid of the chickens....

I'm glad you are eating well. Keep taking care of your back and avoiding the smoke as much as you can!

Dh got his test results back. He basically has bone spurs and arthritis in his spine. He is not happy, but he is going to talk to his doctor about physical therapy and exercise.

I love the feeling of tucking away a years worth of something all at once. I like the satisfaction of that big batch of jars, but I am starting to think it comes at too high a cost. I am limited in how much ice cream I can make at once by the capacity of my ice cream maker and the way the motor heats up - I can't just run it all day and make a dozen batches of one flavor without washing it... and yet, I have a nice stash of ice cream in my freezer, in many flavors, and I never feel overwhelmed at the thought of making ice cream.

I did less jam than usual this year - but there is enough. I am no longer feeding three teenagers plus extras.

I am starting to think "what if I just made a big pot of spaghetti sauce, served spaghetti for dinner, and tossed a few jars in the little canner...." if I did that once a week or so for a couple of months, I'd have plenty of spaghetti sauce. What if instead of letting the cucumbers pile up and trying to make a big batch of pickles, I just picked the cucumbers, filled four jars, and put them in the little canner....

I never made pickles by the way. I accidentally hit the temperature control wheel in the overflow fridge and I froze everything. The milk and eggs thawed, but the cucumbers became chicken food. Hoarding and waste.... I need to find balance.

When the kids were home and involved, a big canning day was fun. And we may do that with applesauce. But now it is starting to be like everything else I put off until it becomes too big and overwhelming. Even the amount of cheese I made yesterday was too much at once. If I am going to make ricotta, I need to stop at two hard cheeses. Which means I need to make cheese more often for a smaller part of the day. Or eat less cheese and feed the chickens milk, or milk fewer goats.

Balance is very hard.

But I'm rambling.

I got my shower and clean sheets last night.

This afternoon Bean is coming for his first trip to the apple orchard! My goal is to have fun and not buy too many apples.

Maybe I'll also do something with tomatoes today.

Good morning.

My poison ivy woke me up before 4:00, so I think I will need a nap today.

Tillie, I am very sorry that COVID has invaded your county. Keep being as safe as possible!

I can't imagine going into a restaurant again. Even our take out pizza makes me nervous because Dh has to walk inside and pick it up off the bar.
Cases in my state gave dropped a little, but cases in my area are still going up.

I had 17 chicks when I went to bed, and I suspect that is all I will have. Not a great hatch, but I am telling myself the ones that didn't make it were roosters. Time will tell....

Yesterday I made ice cream mix, so I need to freeze that today, and I think I will finish the baby wipes. I'm also thinking about making some more cheese and another batch of ice cream. The babies are all weaning, so I have a lot of milk right now.

I'm also doing a little work getting ready for my class next week.

I did enough dishes to only get a little more behind.

Tatoulia, I find the picture of your mess strangely comforting. I have similar messes throughout my house, and while you will sometimes say something is a mess, all your pictures look so nice. I guess it is just good to feel less alone.

Dh spent a lot of the holiday weekend working on the paths in the woods and yesterday we took a half mile walk. I really need to get more physically active. He is encouraging me to spend more time walking the trails.

Yay for weird soup, Tillie!!!

Massachusetts is starting to reopen with Boston taking a bit longer. I am not going to get my hair cut even though the hair salons are open and I ran into my hairdresser today. We are all eagerly awaiting info on my actual hair color, so even if I eventually go for a cut, I'm going to see what color my hair is before having it colored again.

SubC I don't know how you manage to keep snacks in the house. I don't like salty snacks-no chips or pretzels for me-but I love sweets. And cannot keep them in the house. I eat them all immediately. So I'm forever impressed with people who can keep a snack cabinet. Well done!

I'm chipping away at papers. Going to meet my goal.

Hello

Hi Subclinical
OH YEAH! Babies just love sweet squash! 😀

WTG! getting so much done today!
Dinner sounds good too. 🙂
I like "casserole" type things.

Good luck getting the bed made and a shower.

Sometimes it is better to work hard all one day and do the clean up the next day to get stored away the number of things you need to see you through until next growing season.

Didn't know Chickens eat tomatoes. Did know they eat greens and mice too.
Little garbage disposals I guess.
How is your Dwarf Chicken doing?

Found a just shed Great Horned Owl feather.
It is huge and fluffy.
Allowed Scooter to sniff it and he is still loving sniffing it.

Got litter box scooped.
Still in a LOT of discomfort with great immobility due to my back.
Need to go outside and water my garden plants in a bit.
Will try to hurry and get back inside out of the smoke.
For brunch I toasted an English muffin then melted some cheese on each half in the microwave.
Then I fried two over hard eggs and put one on each half of the muffin.
For dinner I will have some sweet juicy cantaloupe.

I worked a lot on Sunday. It was a good feeling but I don't feel that I got the proper relaxation.

I posted my dirty secret on Instagram. My dining table is a mess and has been since the end of March or beginning of April. I worked on it for about 1/2 hour and I'm pleased with the progress.

No wonder I feel like a wreck these days. I have no room to do my paperwork, when I start doing work paperwork, there's no room and I get distracted by postcards so I start writing postcards, then I can't find my pen to do my audits at work, then the cat joins me, etc etc.

That said, I'm going to do my dishes and go to bed.

SubC I used to love going to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry to watch the chicks hatch. When I went there on a business/pleasure trip (a friend from Florida flew to Chicago to join me on my trip), we re-lived my happy childhood by going there and watching the chicks!

I'm going to need some serious downtime this weekend. We've agreed not to eat out again anytime soon. It's just so risky. Our restaurant has a sunken patio so no one is walking by but a lot of the restaurants are allowed to put out tables on the sidewalks (temporarily) and so there are people walking. Y and dogs using the "facilities," etc.

Our CEO sent out a letter today; no real answers but provided more insight into what is going on. Discussing the logistics of different offices: some are self-contained buildings, some are I shared buildings, some have people who primarily drive to work, some (like ours in Boston) have people who primarily use public transportation. He discussed the activities of the Pandemic Response Team. He said that he stands by the idea that we will not be back in the office before August 1, that it may make more sense for September 1. But then with school starting maybe the 14. So that's where we stand. I'm not concerned yet.

Fireflies. Oh so lovely. I may have mentioned this before but in our hotel in Tokyo, there were lovely gardens and one of them had fireflies at night. Which eventually turned out to be just little delicate flickering lights. But I'll take it.
Tillie take good care of yourself. Cm I hope you are holding up okay! SubC I'm grateful you had a visit.

Joan if you are reading, I finally wore out a pair of Allbirds. But the others are doing fine! Definitely my preferred footwear.

OK
This is what I am doing today...

Making a very large batch of weird soup.

Four cups of dried peas.
Did not have a ham bone but did have some already cooked trimmed and cut up corned beef.
Had some diced onion and some diced celery bagged in the freezer that were left over ingredients from other dishes.
Had a partial bag of frozen carrots/green beans/corn/peas.
Added some garlic granules and some dried basil & parsley.

It is simmering on the stove now and smells very tasty.

I will portion out a lot of it and freeze it since I can't eat it all in a timely manner.
But I will have something nutritious to eat daily now.

Tillie, it makes me mad that you don't have your ibuprofen. At least he gave you his scary old medicine, so next time you leave the house, you can throw it away!

I cooked most of DD's baby food - not because I was smart, because we were broke. I have a pie pumpkin ready to bake and purée for Bean (pumpkin was one of DD's favorites) plus we will be making the applesauce.

I will order Tattler lids from now on when I need lids.

CM🕷💃🏻, whatever you need to do for the stuff it's will be the right thing. You are making great progress! Imagine moving into a smaller storage unit and tucking the money difference away every month like Tatoulia did for her debt!

I am tired. Today was a dairy day. I should have done lessons, but I did not. I made four wheels of mozzarella, a pint and a half of ricotta, and three pints of ice cream. I did most of the cleaning up from that (the dishwasher is running for the second time) and also stripped the bed, washed the sheets, and made dinner. I feel like the day went so fast!

I need to put sheets back on the bed and shower before bedtime. Dh is at the office today and the dinner is waiting forhim. It is a big layered thing that has to sit for 20 minutes to an hour after it comes out of the oven.

I have a bunch more tomatoes that need to be cut up, and I haven't picked yet today.

I am trying to channel the girl on the vlog I was watching - I know the vlog is curated, but she makes her home life look so relaxed and peaceful. And one of the reasons is that she doesn't do huge projects. She just does small things from beginning to end. I can have 30 jars of tomato sauce and be hot and sweaty and exhausted and go to bed late knowing I will face a horrible mess in the kitchen tomorrow, or I can have 4 jars of tomato sauce, clean up the kitchen, shower, and sit calmly with a book and a drink before bed.

I probably planted too many tomatoes. I need to learn that I don't have to maximize all the tomatoes. Chickens like tomatoes.

Got kitchen clean & floors swept and bathroom done.

Garden is wilted from the heat at this time of day.
Should perk up a bit after sundown.

Good Morning Everyone

Hello Subclinical
Glad you are doing better and are starting to get caught up.
I'm sure that now online classes are over with you will do much better with eating.

I think open air "farmer's market" type food sources would be safe to visit and they should be starting up soon.
They always have nice sweet treats.

WTG! for your Dh not entering the donut shop!
It's up to us to make good decisions about what is safe or not these days.

It is not safe to do nonessential activities in places where we will be exposed to catching the virus.
What the lockdown/isolation was for was to reduce the number of people needing hospitalization so hospitals would not be overwhelmed with patients.
The virus cases will now go up with people milling about.
They will then try to isolate the infected areas and people.
This is the plan and yes it's being done this way to generate money by letting people work and shop and get hairdos and tattoos.

It's up to us to do what we know is best for us.
I will grocery shop only when it is absolutely necessary.
I will not shop even though all the shops are now open.
I wear a face mask in the grocery store and wish everybody else would too.
I will not shop online unless it becomes absolutely necessary to get something I may need that's not available locally.
I am very mindful of what Steven has touched in the house and keep washing down everything.
I wash my hands, a lot, more than necessary in normal conditions.
They know that there will be many more infected people and many more deaths, they are hoping to reach "herd immunity".
I will not participate. I will continue to do what I know is best for me and wish others would do the same.

Another reason they are opening up everything is the protesters have scared them.
They are worried about anarchy and more violence.
So they have given in.
They aren't even enforcing mask wearing or staying 6 feet apart because some protesters may attack them, or even kill them.
Being in a rural area we have been basically unaffected so far while cities have been hot spots but the virus is slowly coming our way.
This is one reason why Steven doesn't believe in it.
He hasn't known any one personally who has it, been hospitalized for it or died from it, yet.

So stay home, stay safe everyone (((((HUG)))))

Not all of my steps are in the right direction, SubC do sometimes I just have to count it as something. I do know your worries about waste and endangering others. This is a devastating time.

Tillie I enjoyed the warehouse store. I bought the cranberry juice I like and the coffee I like. Also maple syrup. All things I use regularly. No impulse buys. And I heard from one of the people at mom's that they appreciated the snacks. I had to do individual packets since I can't have them reaching into a big bag of chips, etc. I'm glad that the people enjoyed them. I'll do again in a month or so. I need to give them even a small reason to feel appreciated.

I just learned of a friend's sisters death. 51. She worked for the Red Cross and the Boston Archdiocese. I served on a board with her brother for many years. Very service-minded family. What a terrible loss.

I'm going to go do things here. Anything. I want to work on papers and continue my awesome progress.

Another very dark smoky day.

I found that ibuprofen works better for my back pain than aspirin or acetaminophen.
I have only 2 200mg ibuprofen pills left.
The most I ever take at one time is 2 pills = 400mg.

Asked Steven if he has any or would he get me some.
He gave me a prescription bottle from his hoard of 800mg pills that expired 10/26/2010.
Said that's all I get, to just take those.

I will now be trying my acetaminophen or aspirin again to see which of those two help best.
No way in heck will I be taking his nasty old pills.

Good morning.

Tatoulia, I am glad you are doing so well! Good that you still had your quilt.

Some of my steps are still in the wrong direction, but I am doing better.

Yesterday I did more laundry and I showered and I picked up the new room. Today I think I will do the entryway, and maybe I will catch up on dishes.

I checked and the thrift store is open, so I guess I could drop off my donations, but that does not seem essential. I do not understand this reopening. There are more cases - MANY more cases - every day than there were in March. And in March we were all told to stay home except if absolutely necessary to reduce the spread and save lives. So how can it be safe to do things that are not essential now? It has to be less safe. So basically the decision Is driven by economics, not safety. I do not want to participate in economic decisions that kill people. I am still torn over my pizzas.

Dh went to the hardware store to buy things for his wiring project. He told me the donut shop is open. I love these donuts - the shop closed for renovations back in the fall and I was so sad. I said "and you didn't bring me any donuts?" And he looked smug and said "I would have to go into the shop." Now I don't want donuts.

maybe a good thing will be that without the overwhelmingness of online school I will be less distracted from the source of my food and my weight will, start going down. Already I can't imagine going back to the store where I buy all my favorite snacks and candy. They don't do curbside pick up. But I am not out of snacks yet - almost out of candy.

Good Morning Everyone

Have a wonderful day Tatoulia 🙂

Hi CriticalMass
WAY TO GO! You're doing fantastic!

With a smaller storage unit you would be saving enough money to easily replace the common items that have become sad, dingy and depressing to look at now.
Think about saving only the "best" for your future home.
With arts & craft supplies it's hard but prioritize what you truly actually want to or will use.
Sentimental things like Stuffies are hard because they have a face.
Are you sure the big machines at laundromats are off limits?
Please don't over think and make donating things harder on yourself.

There are a lot of different degrees to minimalism.
It s not a matter of counting possessions and striving to have the lowest number.
It is having only the things that bring real value to your life.
Not a bunch of "Justin Case" maybe someday I will want this stuff taking up all the space.

Some people can exist with just a back pack containing only 23 items.
Most everybody else wants more than that.
If a person enjoys creating and crafting there will be more items.
A person may enjoy cooking and baking and need the things to do that.
Some people like entertaining guests and need a set up for it.
We are all different with different likes and wants so minimalism can also be factored into our lives, but differently.
We just need to get rid of the useless (to us) excess to achieve our own personal minimalism.

My theory about cats on beds...
When we turn off the lights, cats become Black Holes, generating more gravity than the Sun.

Good Morning Everybody

Hi Subclinical
YEA!!! WTG!!! with the Chicks! 😀

Sorry the dishes got away from you. Mine did too.

Happy Dh caught a fish. Even happier that you have fish out there. 😀

Make sure the Goats get access to all that nasty poison ivy so you never get into it ever again. (((HUG)))

Going to be 100+ F today.
Everything is well watered out in the yard.
Need to clean the kitchen, vacuum carpet, sweep floors and clean the bathroom.

Hello Everybody

Hi Tatoulia
Been ages since I was in a big warehouse store but I remember that they had great deals for people who could use a LOT of something.
Very sweet of you to buy treats 😀

I still have some of the crossword and pencil puzzle books I found at the thrift shop long before the lockdown.
So happy I picked them up when I did.

It's 11:15pm so I think I should go to sleep...

Up to 16 chickens this morning - they should be done by afternoon, but I'll give them an extra day for Justin.- you know how he worries.

I mostly took it easy yesterday. Made a couple of rounds of cheese. And I let the dishes pile up and I'm sorry now.

Dh caught a fish from the pond for dinner last night.

The poison ivy is just going to be awful for a week or so. It woke me up very early this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep.

Very humid today. Static temp is around 90, but I'm already dripping sweat just walking outside.

We ran errands this afternoon. I picked up a bunch of individually wrapped things for the people at my mother's place. Bags of pretzels and chips, bags of cookies, fruit gems, and sparkling water. I haven't been to one of those warehouse stores in years. It was good to pick up a bunch of things for the workers at mom's, easier than trying to arrange a lunch.

Now kitty and I are just sitting here. I'm doing a load of towels. I picked up the Sunday Times while I was out (generally I get the crosswords from BF's copy but I wanted my own paper today).

So I'll work on crossword for now.
