Remember how the board would get bogged down and very slow to load and scroll after we had posted so many posts in the thread?
Well, I decided to start this new thread after we had reached another 2000 posts to prevent the inconvenience.

So, please continue posting what you are doing today here.

We have thrown a shelf away & 8 garbage bags so far and have Donation run to make. Woo Hoo progress. I had to take a break feel a little anxious and rheumatism is kicking up.

Wishing everyone a good and prosperous day!

So glad to see more posters today! :::coffee clinks:::: first cup of the day, slept til the afternoon!

CM, wonderful to have success with the papers, and to utilize a small sorting table going forward.

Jess, congrats on finishing the hanging files! I need to get some of those for myself. I do have many things sorted now into folders, but no place to put them. Working on that one.

Tat, love you, too!

Greta, thanks for the well wishes. How are things going for you now?

Tillie, as always, good to hear from you. I'd love to throw myself down in your yard and let the baby bunnies climb all over me. Heaven.

Got one piece of mail ready to go. I'm really groggy still from sleeping so late, but that's okay. Blood pressure is good, oxygen is good, so I'm happy.

Bro says he saw a Monarch butterfly twice now. I'm so excited because we are working on a Monarch garden to help support them in view of the heavy losses over recent years. Also trying to set up more garden areas for butterflies in general. And of course, want to attract bats.

I really need to call the hospital in Arkansas and start talking about how to pay off those bills, some of which have been sent to collection. It's complex. My FICO score has gone from something like 864 down to 640. AAARGH. One of the bad reports was due to illegal activity by AT&T so I need to get that removed, now that the Attorney General's office resolved the dispute I had with AT&T billing me for non-existent phone and services. Watch your bills, friends.

Sunny day today but more storms expected. Okay with that, too.

Need to get out and start walking, starting with five minutes, then working up to 30 minutes. Ick.

Hugs and coffee clinks to all.

Roxie a butterfly garden sounds wonderful,. The hospital bills yuck but from previous experience they will set up a payment plan and if their payments are to high pay what you can they can not charge interest on the unpaid part I also think there is a thing call act 80 that may really help but I could be wrong but. Things here are still the same not looking forward to today have to down with my mother and due bills already stressing about that because she was nasty on the phone yesterday oh well I guess I will just accept it and due the best I can. I looks like it's going to be a beautiful sunny warm day for a change just maybe no rain for a change.

Gillie
Hopefully you got some sleep no sleep makes for a hard day. Got to love them cats and baby bunnies.

I hope everyone has a good day

"Clink" back at you and everyone. Working on a back bedroom today then immediate trip to Goodwill. My brother changed plans instead of helping with sub-floor. Is this common? Power to the group today!!!!

Good Morning Everybody 🙂

Hi Roxie "clink!" 🙂
WAY TO GO!!! for all you keep accomplishing!
And FANTASTIC report from the cardiologist! (((hugs)))

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
Good luck with all your projects!
Happy that your friend will be visiting again soon. 😀

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
YEA!!! WTG!!! for paper success! 😀
A "staging area", no matter where or how small really is a great way to get things sorted out.

Hi Jess 🙂
FANTASTIC! WTG! for organizing the papers!!! 😀
Sent your dog here when you get it trained to clean ovens. The cats refuse to even try helping out around here. 😉

Hi Greta 🙂
Wishing you a great day too. 😀

Yesterday was one of "those" days here.
Didn't sleep well the night before and was extremely tired all day.
Maybe today I can get caught up with things here.

The cats can't go outside because the yard is full of teeny tiny baby cottontail bunnies right now.
Took one away from Marty (the cat) the other day.
Fortunately it was not hurt!
But it was so soft & warm & tiny and sweet and just sat quietly in my hand as I examined it. 😀

Where is everyone?

Tatoulia, take one tiny step today. Perhaps you can grab just a handful of papers and commit to dealing thoroughly with just those papers today? I'm pushing, you!

I got two more loads of laundry down the chute, filled 3 grocery bags with donations for Goodwill, and further sorted a handful (Tat?!)of papers. Today I plan to do more of the same plus fill out deposit slip and mail that and a couple of checks off to my bank.

No sleep tonight. So I'm up getting a cup of coffee (::clink::) and plan to sit on the front porch and watch the town and critters wake up.

Hugs and good thoughts. We can do it!

I'm here! *waves*

Happy to report success with the papers. New goal is to do sorting of non-paper items that are in the way on bedroom floor. It dawned on me yesterday that I can use the same "bring it out and sort it on the little table" method with most of theses items as they are small.

Wishing everyone well with their goals and challenges. 🙂

Hello hello!

I finished organizing my papers, hanging file folders and all! Then I found a small amount in my closet that I had forgotten about *facepalm* But at least now there is a system in place. Actually, I needed some old W2s and I knew exactly where they were because I had just filed them. Amazing!

Today I plan to finish the new papers I found and I have to go take a drug test for work. Yesterday I took my car in because it was due for service.

Roxie, glad your cardiologist appt went well. Sounds like you're getting a lot done! Great job with your papers and all those other things you're checking off!

CM, awesome progress, paper buddy! I like when I find a good routine and place to sort stuff, it makes it go so much more smoothly for me. Keep it up!

Tat, it's good that you're recognizing the backsliding. Not too late to stop and refocus! Something I've been telling myself a lot lately is "this doesn't have to be perfect but it does have to be done" then I just start moving and I see where I end up. I'm rooting for you!

Tillie, I bet you could train a cat to clean an oven. They're smart, right? I'll try it with my dog and report back 🙂

Good Morning

We are back from the hospital with cautious optimism.

I am so far behind on everything here because his medical problems have been occupying all my time and energy since the end of February.
When I do have the time to do something, I just don't have the energy or any desire to do anything except rest.
Have a list of stuff needing to get done but have only been doing the daily and weekly tasks like bathroom, litter boxes, dishes and floors.
The neighbors who's house I have been caretaking will be home at the end of the week.
That will be nice to have one less obligation, plus I will get paid for my services. 🙂
Does anybody here want to come over and clean the oven for me?
Oh Well, it was worth the try... ;D

::Snort!:: clean an oven? Back away, woman. LOL You need a self-cleaner for sure. Good luck with energy levels and getting stuff done.

Couldn't sleep for along time last night, so I cracked open the box of papers again and read through a lot of them. Need to tackle issues with the first hospital because I think there are some bogus charges, plus the way they bill is a set-up for bills to go to collection. For each visit there is a new file, instead of compiling charges by date under one patient number. BAH

I send down more laundry through the chute yesterday, also. Ordered and picked up pills, went to see the cardiologist (all okay), and helped bro sort through some bags of stuff the neighbor gave us (cleaning products and such).

Coffee clinks all around. Hugs to everyone.

Hugs and love to everyone. Glad to hear of the new job, Jess! Congratulations.

I am backsliding. I need to get my act together. My friend who came here last August is coming again this August. I have not tackled papers nor have I gotten the old coffee table out. I need help. I will find it here

Much love. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
Great plan! 😀
Bringing only a smaller more do-able amount of papers to the small table.
Some music would be nice too.
Best wishes that you come away after today with a GREAT feeling of satisfaction for a job well done. 😀

CONGRATULATIONS!!! on getting the job! Jess 😀
Thank you and thank you for sharing your days with us here. (((hugs))) 🙂

Hi Roxie 🙂
WTG! for sending down your laundry! 😀
Fantastic! job with all you have been finding to donate, you're a wonderful role model. 😀
WTG! with the banking!

Well, a major set back here...
He has started to develop serious issues with some of his toes on the leg that was operated on.
Lack of blood supply, need to find out if it's another blood clot or what.
Tomorrow he will see the vascular surgeon again.
🙁

You guys... I got a job! *faint* I start in a few weeks!

As far as my papers, I have it down to all the ones I actually need to keep. Only thing left to do is organize those keepers. I need to pick up some hanging file folders and then I should be able to wrap this up quickly.

I'm cheering for you, Oodles!! You can do it!

CM and Roxie, we can get these papers done! Let's all check this thing off our lists! Woo!

Tillie, you inspire me everyday with your work ethic and positivity! You are wonderful!

Thanks group, for sharing your lives with me. I'm so happy to be a part of this 🙂

Oodles, CM, Tillie and all. So glad to hear of your progress. Tiny steps, medium or big steps, it all moves us forward.

Yesterday, I gathered a load of laundry and put it down the shoot for bro to do (hehe). I have more the collect and send down, plus an item or two I intend to hand wash. I had purchased a blouse that has accordion pleats on it so it is more fitted, but comfortable, and I love wearing it. So I want to be sure I launder it correctly.

I also sorted a few more books to donate. And I refilled my pill box for the week. Today I need to order refills. I need to prepare a couple of checks to mail to the bank for deposit. I also called and ordered a new box of checks since I'm undertaking paying my own bills (for which I am sure my son is happy).

Oh, and Jess, congratulations on the job. That will help a lot, I am sure. I need also to organize papers into folders and put them in one big box or something so I have access. Congrats on all your progress.

Hi 🙂
OK, I have the cleaning stuff all sitting on the counter.
Have the vacuum, broom and rags out.
Right now I am drinking my tea but at 8:00am, 10 minutes from now, I will begin.
Sweep floors & porches.
Clean bathroom, sink, tub & toilet.
Wipe off stuff like light switches, door knobs, window sills and so on...
Wash floors, kitchen & bathroom.
Vacuum carpet.
Dust.
Days like today make me so very grateful that this house is so small.
Grateful there isn't much floor to wash or carpet to vacuum.
Grateful that there isn't much furniture in here to dust.

Today I have set a goal to tackle paper sorting. To make it less frustrating I'm going to set up a small table in the living room and bring only a few things to it at a time. Maybe put on some music or something as well.

The backstory of all this is that I had a hurried move, you may recall, back in April/May to my friend's house where I'm now renting a room and use of common spaces. As much as I hated it, there was no time to sort and put papers away neatly. And my bedroom is pretty small. So already I have a mess. There are also items like boxes of art supplies and miscellaneous. But today I would just like to feel I've tamed some of the papers, and then we'll see what the goal is for tomorrow.

Hello 🙂

Hi Roxie 🙂
Afternoon ice tea "clink!"
To me, it is a very different and even magical world outside in the wee hours. 😀
What a fun bunch of people you are living around there. Parading and fireworks too!
Good luck and best wishes that this box of paperwork goes smoothly and easily for you. (((hugs)))

Hi Oodles 🙂
Waving pom-poms and cheering you on with your clearing project! GO OODLES!!! RaRaRa ;D

Been busy today...
Lit the burn barrel, went to neighbor's house & watered houseplants.
Came home and washed dishes, went to WallyWorld to get kitty litter and a few other items.
Washed litter boxes and filled with litter.
Played with a baby Robin that was hopping around and practicing his flying.
He did pretty good but still needs to practice getting up higher and he needs to learn not to be so brave and trusting. A little fear can be a good thing every now & then.
Did a bunch of other boring stuff too but it was stuff that needed doing and I am happy it's all done now.
Made BBQ beef for sandwiches too! yum. 🙂
Thinking about doing a general house cleaning tomorrow but I really do not want to do it so please everybody, talk me out of cleaning the house tomorrow! ;D

TTYL 🙂

Hi Oodles 🙂
Thank you.
Good luck with the yard work!
Hope the sub flooring project goes well. (((hugs)))

Taking today slow and easy.
Some dishes to wash, bathroom needs some tidying/wiping.
Floors are a mess from all the wet sand that keeps getting tracked in.
Found a few new listings on Netflix to watch.
Really like the "Ted Talks", can listen to them while I am doing something else.

Good Morning everybody.

Roxie

Hi, Oodles. I'm hoping all the best for you. If I'm imagining it correctly, sub-floors are not all that difficult to deal with. good luck!

Tillie, and everyone else, enjoy the outdoors when you can, even if it is the middle of the night. I've had serious sleep problems lately, and can sit on the front porch at 3am and listen and watch.

Yesterday late day suddenly all kinds of sirens and flashing lights were outside. I could not imagine what was going on. Turns out it was a stream of firemen and police cars and paraders celebrating the city. Kind of fun. 🙂 Later they set off fire works. God bless small towns!

Yesterday I opened the box my son sent me and started sorting through bills and records, something I've been putting off. Good to make a good start on that laborious project.

Coffee clinks.

Coffee clinks (I like that & back at ya "clink") Thank you for the support. I spent all day yesterday weed wacking. Inside today, discovering yard work is easier than house work. Anxiety face (my term for it) has started & multiple breaks. Anxiety face is when you go to dive into housework & your face turns numb. I cannot let myself not do it. Area needs to be cleared by Thursday. Go Ooodles - Go Oodles LOL Thanks for listening so nice to be able to write it here it helps. Also hope all have a very productive day. Go friends! Go friends!

All morning I have been outside cleaning up after that storm.
Moved broken branches and raked up lots of stuff.
Swept porches and walkways.
Not only at my house but also at the house I am watching.
Fortunately, there was no damage to either building. 🙂

Very cute, both the image of the party spot in Tillie's yard plus the Cheezburger site.

I actually paid bills yesterday and for the checks I wrote, bro took them to the mailbox for me. I sorted other mail and tossed a lot of paper into a paper bag for later recycling. Lots more to do but I feel better just tackling that much.

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
Thanks! 😀
Those cheeseburger pictures are always so cute and bring smiles.
And yes, they did a LOT of that. 😀

Hi Roxie 🙂
WAY TO GO!!!!
You did GREAT! working on the paperwork! 😀
I am always grateful for tea, blame that on my Canadian Grandparents. 😉

The most wonderful summer storm just blew through here.
Raging winds, lightning & thunder, hail, a real gully washer for sure.
Still raining with some thunder but I got the cats all calmed down.
So refreshing! 😀
