I have had issues in the past with hoarding. I downsized a lot, made a free yardsale one day and gave away most of my belongings. When I moved I started making more money and buying things.... Now I'm drowning again. I'm moving in a few days. I have given away or sold about 30% but each time I look at my things I panic. I'm moving in with a roommmate and I want to make a good impression, and I have stopped buying for the last 2 months! I'm happy about that and have every intention to keep that up. It's a two bedroom apartment, I get one decent sized room, and we have shared living areas. What amount of boxes is "normal" for 1 person to have for moving into a shared apartment? What amount will make my new roommate stare at me in disbelief? I don't hoard trash or anything unsanitary. It's mostly bits and pieces I plan to do some art with or sell, and clothing. I know I need to downsize. that. I'm including a pic (not me) to give a size reference of my boxes. How many of these is normal and how many is horrible? Help! | |
What is normal? How many? I don’t know anymore
