Help me please

Hi-
I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and have severe depression as does my fiance. For the 5 years we've lived in our apartment the mess has only gotten worse and worse until it is a serious hazard. We aren't hoarders in the traditional sense. I don't need emotional support in cleaning it out, I need the physical help.

Now, he is moving home to Michigan and I'm moving back in with my parents.

I've gotten some money to pay another months rent, I want to get the place emptied out of the trash and what stuff we can salvage. I do NOT need help with cleaning or repairs as the landlord is planning to tear up the carpets, and repaint after we're out.

He does NOT know of the situation and even if he found out now and wanted to evict us, with help I could clean it up and be out by the 30 days.

I am currently on a fixed income and can't afford a large lump sum payment to get some help, I would be able to do installments.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or can direct me to where I can get some help.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately my friends and family can't really help.

I've contacted a few companies and am hoping they are able to work with me on some sort of plan so I can get this taken care of and move on.

Welcome, Taya. If you haven't, check on the national resources link above. I find that most cleanout company's charge around $1000/day, but that could be different in different parts of the country. You'd have to speak with the individuals to see if payment plans or a limited assistance setup could help you.

If you have friends or relatives that could pitch in physically or financially, that'd help.
