Hi, my aunt has physical disabilities that have caused her home to become a hazard to her. It has become a case of extreme clutter and there is garbage and who knows what else about a foot deep in some areas. Her plumbing isn't working in some areas of the house. Recently she fell and severely broke her arm because of the clutter and she didn't want to call 911 because she did not want them to see her home. She waited hours before calling them while she lay helpless on the floor. She has been living in a skilled nursing facility for the past month while she recovers from surgery and needs to get her home in living condition before being able to move back in. We called a hoarding specialist to see about cleaning it up and they quoted $13,000. There is no way that she can afford that. Are there any agencies that can help with the cost? | |
