Hello Jo :)

A great book for you to read is
"Digging Out".
It will help you to understand your Mother better.
It is written for people who know/love a hoarder and want to help them.

Hello
My mother has been a hoarder for as long as I can remember. We always try to offer help but get shut down immediately. None of us really go visit her. She usually comes to our house. Well she went out of the country recently. When my sister went to see her off. She saw the state of her house and decided that while my Mom was gone, we clean up. We rented a dumpster and cleaned the majority of her house with the exception of her bedroom. Of course, she came back and is livid to say the least. She is pushing us all away and keeps asking where her stuff is at. I am trying to be understanding but how can she be so hurtful and push us away over trash.
