something that works for me, my wife is a hoarder, is small task every day, a room even a shelf should be empty sometimes I am successful just getting rid of one item. Then we revisit the area next week, tomorrow will visit another site, and probably we will get rid of a whole trash bag, or just an item, should take small steps every day, but none stop every day. Sometimes you get really tire but keep going
