Glad you were able to work outside last night, Tilliie! Thinking of Diane!!

I would love a challenge for August! Any ideas? The Indor Chalkenge has allowed me to maintain my dishes, laundry folded and put away, vacuuming and sweeping. I've fallen down on bathroom and dusting (among other things). So I need another indoor challenge but maybe with a twist (or a punch)? Any ideas of how to word it?

Need all the help I can get. I need to gain ground.

Happy August 1st. :)

Very quiet and cool here this morning.
Enjoying it while I drink my tea.
Last evening it was so nice outside that I actually weeded about one square foot of my flower/herb garden area as the sun was setting.
Going to do the usual tidying up today and then work in the kitchen making up some of the food I just bought.

Anybody have any big plans or goals for this month? ;)

HI :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Thanks for the drive by. :D

Hi Diane :)
You will be in my thoughts all day tomorrow.
Consider it like I'm there with you, holding your hand.
(((HUGS)))
YEA!!! For clean sheets!
Saturday I killed two large wasp nests in the carport hoard. So scary spraying them when there are so many wasps all ready to kill me.
I understand your reluctance to waste a day getting the defective airbag replaced with a new defective airbag.
This needs further investigation. I'd call the place and ask them what they know about these new airbags they are installing.
Get as much sleep as you can tonight.
Try to eat a little something before your appointment, it's important.
Take care. (((HUGS)))

Good night everybody :)

Hello all. Tillie you did great already today, and having fun too!
I got up early and did 2 loads laundry, hung out, already dry and put away, still too hot for me to be out for long. Worked on shed more, just had my smoothie. I will have clean sheets on bed tonight, has not happened for a few weeks. Also have to shower when finish getting dirty in shed. Took one wasp nest down first thing this morning, then just saw a bigger one, they are active now so will wait until tomorrow am. Speaking of, tomorrow is root canal, lucky me. At least today I found some pretty rocks buried under junk in shed. Love hearing about your beads Tillie.
Wednesday is my day to have faulty air bag replaced, but on news they said new ones, are only short term fix, so do I want to go to town and figure out what to do for 4 hours while they put a flawed replacement bag in? I think it is on passenger side, never have passengers, if I do they can ride in back seat!!

Happy last day of July 2016 :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Sounds like you & BF have good, solid relationship. :)
Yes, I am always doing stuff today so I won't have to do it tomorrow. LOL :D

Hi mshope2012 :)
Sorry the sale got rained out, but
WAY TO GO!!!! that the stuff is out of your space!!! :D
GREAT thinking and planning on not buying supplies!
Using up all that we already have in our houses is called
"Shopping At Home"
and we greatly encourage doing that. :D

Well, went grocery shopping and was back home by 10am. YEA! Me :D
I did not buy any cakes, cookies, candies, chips, ice cream or pastries, I am so proud of myself. ;D
The air quality in this valley reminds me of Los Angeles today.
Not smog but smoke from all the lightning caused wild fires around here.
Got my groceries put away and am now wondering what to do with the rest of the day.
Still too hot for me to do gardening/weeding.
Have run out of gemstone beads to string but made an online order for more yesterday.
Should be here by Wednesday.
Making a beaded curtain for the doorway of my pantry, it's more than half finished. ;D
Not even noon here yet, maybe I will fix some lunch and watch some Netflix.

Morning,

The garage sale was a bust. It was nice just long enough for us to drag out some stuff. We really started to sell and then it poured. Luckily, my brother put all the leftover bins in his garage. He is having a friend pick it up to resell it. Hmm, this friend might eventually come, or not, but at least that stuff is out of my house.

Tillie, I'm debating whether to go to the store or not. I probably won't because I woke up feeling exhausted. Sad, isn't it.

Tatoulia,

I also live alone, but my sister and her kids often overnight here. I have never seen anyone who uses more towels and makes a bigger mess than my sister. She claims that I don't have enough towels. I think I am just going to stack five towels in the br and say, "That's it." She baths her kids and just leaves a wake of things all over the place. Some of my towels are so old. Those old ones can go to the shelter.

I'm starting to get nervous for school. One day I will probably just disappear when school starts and not reappear until next June. It's funny, but I have all this time during the school and then no time during the school year. I'm thinking of how to scale back this year and not need to be super teacher at all times. I usually "let myself" spend a huge amount of money on school supplies and order from a few favorite companies with the it's tax deductible argument. Nope, this year I am not buying anything. (Well, except hand sanitizer.) My hoard of pens and pencils is vast. I would be ashamed to show anyone my prize box or stickers. I'm using what I have this year. I have no need to "buy more." It feels good!

I hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning/almost noon here!

Glad to hear from everyone. Yesterday didn't get much done. After time with family member, hit a little time with BF, then went to see mom for a bit and then home. Cooler here but still needed AC to sleep.

Today is grey:not rainy. we could use rain so I wish we'd get a storm or two. Will take mom to grocery store and that's likely it for me. Would like to spend some time with BF but he's being very quiet like he's upset and a few years ago I resolved not to push him--I finally learned that if he needs to sort through something, let him do it his way and on his timetable.

Need to get done things done around the house and do some work-work. To get a few hours in today would make a big difference on my tomorrow. Isn't that true for so much of what we do?

So, what are you doing today?

Hi :)

Hi Tess :)
YEA!!!! for your cool weather! :D

Hi Diane :)
My lack of activity is showing too. Soon as it's cooler we will both work it off. ;)
As a kid I learned something important about rock hounding.
Some rocks are keepers and some/most are called "leaverites"
as in "leave er right there". ;P

Today has been so much better. Only 102 and cooling off already by 5pm.
Predicted highs the rest of the week are all under 100 degrees with cool nights.
Thinking of grocery shopping tomorrow morning.

WAY TO GO!!!
Everybody for any and everything you have done during this heat wave! (((hugs)))

Hello gals
I went out early and watered things in the yard. Decided to get rocks out of a shed that I dug up in the yard 2 years ago, rocks were in containers, was surprised to see rocks were not as great as I thought. Got too hot so did not finish cleaning out shed.
I have gained weight eating too much and doing too little.
Knowing my tendency to sort and organize things too much, I hope to be able to just put rocks in a heap if I think they are poo rocks, and put good rocks in a separate pile and only keep really good rocks in containers. Not spend days sorting.
So nice to hear from you.
Just paid bills, now need to go through stack of things that were magnetized to flat surfaces, junk mail, maps, articles etc. Watched a movie, and just sat, no energy in the heat. Common problem for us cool lovers

Thanks Tatoulia! I had a dalliance. Love it! Haha! I just wish he would stop texting me. He wants to go out for drinks later. I don't think so!!! I feel so much better today gotta keep the momentum going. Good luck with your visit today. You do a lot for your family. That's such an honorable thing. You don't see enough of that these days.

It's not hot today. Hallelujah!! I actually wish I had worn a long sleeve shirt today. My plans today include an hour or so of work, a hair appointment, lunch out, some shopping for necessities and a drop off at the Salvation Army if the rain stops. I wanted to work on my business plan today, but since the heat broke, I think I'll take advantage and get some deep cleaning done. Hope you're all having a cooler day!

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi mshope2012 :)
I always give anything pet related to the animal shelter.
My cats are weird and some things none of them ever use or play with so I give the homeless pets a chance to enjoy them. :D

WAY TO GO! for sorting out and labeling your bins! :D

Hi Diane :)
So happy you went and met that nice lady! :D
Even though I don't have that same drive to do extreme bargain hunting, I do understand. (((hugs)))
I love a great find at a ridiculously low price too. My attitude though is if I happen to just stumble upon it, great!. But I don't worry about what I may be missing when I am not out hunting for treasures.
Please rest up and stay cool this weekend. I don't want you overly exhausted when you have your dental work done.
(((HUGS)))

Hi Tatoulia :)
TY :D
Knowing you is such a pleasure. (((hugs)))
You are doing WONDERFUL with your towel system! :D
Wishing you tons of luck today! (((HUGS)))
WAY TO GO! being prepared to just cool down and relax when you come home . :)

Hi Tess :)
WAY TO GO! for tackling your clutter magnets and laundry.
Yes it is too hot to do much right now but great that you can do somethings. :)

Well, this record breaking hot spell is finally coming to an end.
After today we should be almost back to normal temps for this time of year!!! :D
Last evening big black storm clouds rolled in.
Lots of thunder and a sprinkling of rain, YEA!!!!
Marty (the cat) and I stood out in the yard and enjoyed getting wet. :D
We're running very low on provisions here but I refuse to go out until it's not so darn hot.
Maybe this week I will get to the grocery store.
Today I will just do the usual daily stuff.

Thanks for the kind words. Just venting about all of that made me feel a little better. I promised to come back with a less depressing post. So, here it is. Lol! After my last post, I picked up my clutter magnet areas, tossed a load in the wash, and started putting away clean clothes. But it's just too hot. Instead, I decided to go out and pick up something for dinner and then I went to Barnes and Noble. I've been wanting to generate a second income. I found a couple books that I think will help guide me perfectly. While it's too hot to work around the house, I'm going to focus on that. I hope everybody is keeping cool tonight!

Diane!!!!! Yay to hear from you. Drink lots of water and yes, yes YES how I know and love the thrill of the hunt!

Tess--don't beat yourself up in this thing at all--a little dalliance and perhaps a dream or two--won't hurt anyone AND it allowed you an outlet and the freedom to discuss your hoarding situation. Now back to reality -- yes it's sad to give up whatever dream or dialogue was going through your mind, and it's OK.

Hope, I live alone and have a boyfriend. I have four bath towels, all white, good quality. I have four or six white hand towels, two bath mats and multiple face cloths. I really cleaned and cleared out my linen closet a year or two ago. Got rid of the embroidered Christmas towels, the old towels that I was keeping for Justin Case (to plagiarize Tillie), other towels, towels in case guests come over, etcetera. Now I have what I need. Four bath towels are plenty for BF and myself. I have my own washer and dryer so there's never a dirty towel in the house. If I have a house guest, I buy towels on sale for the guest and then promptly donate. YES on the animal shelter--the animals will be so pleased.

Tillie--I am so pleased to have you in my life. Thank you for cheering me on and for opening my eyes to things I might not see on my own.

Happy evening, everyone. I only got home from work about 1/2 hour ago--have showered and fed miss kitty and now I need to feed myself.

Hello ladies, thanks for posting inspite of the heat, broken hearts, yarn, dirt, and what you are thinking. It is 5pm and still 99degrees, just saps my energy, and Tillie your weather would kill me. I had to go get Rx refill today, so darn hot. Yesterday went with a rock friend to visit a widow in another town. Her husband was a wonderful man, and an expert in the rock world, finding rocks, cutting polishing etc. Friend and I bought a bunch of petrified wood she still had, she already sold most of his rocks and all of his equipment. This hoarder wanted to go back today and buy more rocks, thank goodness it is miserably hot and I am still recovering from the heat yesterday being out picking up rocks in the sun/heat. Widow is so wonderful, and I had her laughing her self silly, so was a great time. ,I had the same feeling I had at thrift stores, I know if I keep looking I will find special things other people missed, it is like an addictive feeling that drives me to keep going even though it is not good for me in so many ways!! I know some of you can relate to the feeling of being driven to keep going, like nothing else matters. Will it ever end? Feeling driven to find the bargain? ouch, got home and was dehydrated, overheated etc.
So good to get online and read your posts, and feel less alone in the drama of hoarding

Hi all,

I got a lot done so far. Weirdly, I went through some of my yarn today. I even knitted a little to see if I remembered how. I guess you don't forget. I dragged those plastic bins in and out and even started to label the keep bins with "Easter", "Christmas" and "Pictures." I don't know why I never did that before. I might actually be able to find something. Hope everyone is staying cool.

To Tillie,
Thanks so much. I never considered taking all the linens, blankets, and towels to our local shelter. My mom would also love that because her dog is very picky. He has a variety of beds and toys that he doesn't use. Now that I think about it, we have a box of new dog leashes and collars. Again, one of those things too good to throw away, but perfect to donate!

To Tess,

I hear you on the married man. Sadly, I've been there. I thought he was divorced. The whole thing ended and I swore off men completely. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.

To Tatoulia,

Thanks! The garage sale is tomorrow. I am almost done getting stuff ready. True confession. I did take a few little things "back." Your post reminded me of the five "burn" boxes I keep meaning to burn. I should just break down and buy a shredder.

Hi CriticalMass :)
WAY TO GO!!! with your yarn sorting project plans! :D
Good luck that the cats cooperate and don't try to "help" you. ;)

Hi Tatoulia :)
You are doing FANTASTIC! with your indoor challenges! :D
Happy you are not stressing and are keeping cool. (((hugs)))

Hi mshope2012 :)
WAY TO GO!!!
You have really been doing so much! :D

One thing I do to keep my linens under control is I regularly sort through them and donate what I don't need to the local animal shelter.
It makes it very easy to let go knowing they will be used to benefit all the animals.
Most all shelters gladly accept towels, sheets, blankets, quilts, rugs, rags and so much more, especially in wintertime.

Hi Diane :)
How you holding up? :)

The killer heat wave is predicted to start letting up soon.
There were lots of lightning caused wild fires started last evening.
Went out last night and watered the trees and bushes. It was still hot all night long. :(
Tossed & turned and didn't get much sleep.
This morning isn't very cool like it had been.
The cats all look like melted candles, dripped all over the house. ;D
About all I plan to do today is wash some dishes, scoop litter boxes and keep the kitty water bowls filled.

Hi friends! I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. Mshope, you had an awesome day! Way to go!!!

My week has been the least productive I've had in awhile. I cleaned on Tuesday. That's pretty much it. It's just been so darn hot. I've also been struggling emotionally a bit this week. Long story short, I managed to fall for a married man. Please don't judge..NOTHING has happened. I would never allow it to go too far, but over the months he has definitely managed to get around the wall I built. He has become someone I can talk to about anything. He even knows a little about my hoarding (though I don't think he realizes how bad my house was). This week something he said really opened my eyes to our situation. I've spent the last couple days just hating myself for it. I've managed to break my own heart. I say I did it to myself because I knew immediately to stay away from that situation. Slowly it moved from polite responses to confidant. In addition to nursing a self inflicted broken heart...or maybe because I'm nursing a broken heart, the little unfair, disrespectful things people do have really been weighing in me. I wish I could be more assertive. I'm so painfully shy and I hate it. Especially at my age. I just haven't had the strength do deal with it all and work on my project here. TGIF! Maybe I'll accomplish something this weekend. I could really use all the prayers and good wishes you guys have to spare today. Sorry to be such a downer. My next post will be much more positive. I swear :)

Hi all,

Had a pretty big start today. I was loading up my car with all my excess books to drive over to my mom's for the "big" garage sale. However, after about ten minutes, it started pouring. It is still raining! So I instead worked on clothes. I put about a hundred shirts on one of those wardrobe bars. I have three huge boxes of shorts and pants. Then, I started thinking, "Something smells weird..." An hour or so later, I started to suspect that a poor furry creature bit it somewhere in the garage. I finished that quickly, came inside and hit my sock and underwear drawer. I tossed all of my spare socks and old stuff. As usual, I still have too much.

I then worked on this really big, deep closet in my little bathroom. I stuffed it full of extra towels and blanks which freed some more space in my other closets. It is embarrassing how much storage space I do have. I really wonder how many towels other people have. I think I have thirty towels. These are second or third hand towels or even some I bought when I when off to college over 20 years ago.

I went through a little bit of my art stuff. I even found a bunch of my knitting stuff. I am a terrible knitter, but I like to do it. I only knit scarves and tend to knit big holes in them. Hmm, the last time I knitted was years ago...Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for reading!

Congrats on having a clear moment on the yarn! I have such trouble getting my mother to get rid of her yarn, so much so that I've dropped it. She used to knit all the time and she still does--at her age there are a lot more mistakes in her sweaters but my they are so dear.

Indoor challenge
More laundry
Vacuumed living room and desk

Got AC on much earlier than I did yesterday and I feel my energy level is good. Plus I'm just doing my regular work and not stressing the way I was yesterday with all of my reports.

Hey all,
Loving these colorful posts everyone's making so I thought I'd better jump on the bandwagon! :D

Somebody must've been praying for me yesterday because I had a mental and spiritual breakthrough. The upshot of it is I'm going to downsize my stash of yarn by approximately 75%. More than that if I still feel there's too much left over.

The cool thing is, I have a cat sitting job starting tomorrow through Sunday, and it's in the direction of my storage unit. So I can swing by, grab a tub of yarn, go through it, and put the giveaway skeins in a large bag or box. Then get another, rinse and repeat till all the tubs have been gone through. I'll have plenty of room in the large house where I'll be, and the cats are elderly so they won't interfere and try to make off with the yarn. :)

I know that in my list of many creative things to do, yarn craft is something that I don't want to give up entirely, but sewing and studio art are higher priorities. So I need to apportion my storage space, stash, and time accordingly. I'll keep just a few skeins for things I am planning to do this winter, and bless a local ministry that uses yarn with the rest of it.

It is so true, I must say as I read your posts and reflect on my own life, that coming to accept that some things and relationships just will never be what our initial rosy vision thought they'd be, is so vital. There is a time to cut our losses and LIVE!

Hey Diane :)

Not yet 9am here and the cats and I have been enjoying the cool morning and bracing for another hot as heck day.
Neighbor friends are leaving tomorrow in their big RV so I will be watching their house for a month or two.
They are taking all the critters and the yard has all automatic watering systems.
So, not much for me to do there except take in the mail and water indoor house plants.

Take care. :)

Tillie, I'm with you. I haven't even eaten today. I was going to eat at one point and then skipped it. Too hot to cook.

I sent my sister some "lemonade $" via PayPal today and then left a little money for my boyfriend to give to my brother tomorrow. I'm too hot to move.

Amnesty. Going to work from home again tomorrow even though I really need to get into office. Spent the whole day on three reports/all numbers/tables/etc. really killed my day and crushed my spirit. Gee whiz its stifling hot.

Keeping cat watered and fed and nothing else.

Stay cool dear Tillie. Diane I hope you are taking care of yourself. Everyone, please play it safe in this heat. Now is not the time to be a hero.

Hello Everybody :)

I've been watching videos all day, eating freezer pops and drinking lots of iced green tea limeade.
The high on the shaded back porch was 109 and in the driveway/carport area 114.
Inside never got hotter than 83! :D
Right now I have been moving the sprinkler around watering the grass and flower/herb beds.
This makes it even cooler in the front yard, having everything all wet.
Tomorrow is predicted to be another hot day.
About all I am doing is keeping the cats watered and fed, boxes scooped.
Did not allow any of them outside today and will do the same tomorrow.
Maybe around 9pm I'll feel like eating food or maybe I will just have some rainbow sherbet. ;D

Stay cool :)

Anonymoniker,

I'm so sorry to hear that people were so terrible. There is really no call for that! I also hear what you say about the money. I told my family that I will pay them to get their junk out of my house. I really don't care about the money. For my salary and how much I work, I should be financially stable instead of in debt. However, I will get there. I know you will, too. I've seen the bumper sticker and I believe it: Mean People Suck!

I also feel the anger. I don't have an ex, but I am mad at myself for buying this beautiful, empty house and filling it to capacity with junk. Sadly, some of it was expensive junk that I never used. I think just knowing that you are living a great life is the best revenge for your ex! I feel like my anger is my fuel. I thought after my garage was clean, I'd be done. However, I am seeing that I am just beginning.

This is a great board because of people like you. Thank you and I hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Hi Tatoulia :)
Good planning to keep the house cool and also get the dishes washed.
We used to get a lot of electrical outages until they updated all the wires leading to our homes.
Whenever we had needed power the most is when the power would always go out.

I believe it's those tiny acts of kindness that can make the biggest differences. (((HUGS)))

Good morning, everyone!

Almost noon here. Very hot. Windows closed up keep out heat. Using ceiling fan in living room and will need the AC in a very short time, as the sun moves over my house. Kitty stretched out on floor.

Running dishwasher, which I usually do at night. But there were some electrical outages here last night--not on my block but nearby, and I didn't want to tax the system. So I'm running it now.

Tillie thank you for your kind words. It is a good feeling to do something like that. Little favor but it makes a difference, like smiling.

Diane I am thinking of you and your smoothies!!

Hi Everybody :)

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Think of this phase as a metamorphosis.
Like a lowly caterpillar transforming into a beautiful butterfly. ;)

Hi Tess :)
Your plan sounds spot on! :D
Doing that should help keep you sane while you wait out the heat. :)

Hi Diane :)
You know as well as I do that soon as the antibiotics wear off that horrid pain will return.
Only one way out of this pickle. (((HUGS)))
Happy dancing for the berries and almond milk smoothies! :D
Glad you went out to the rock hound picnic.
Everybody has strict orders to lay low during this heat!
We will all do what we can during the cool morning/evening hours and then it's popsicles and Netflix the rest of the day.

Tillie! Our posts crossed!!

Oomf your weather! Tonight as I was taking my recyclables out, one of my elderly friends was out taking a walk. I made her sit on the seat of her walker and I ran inside and got her four cold bottles of water from my fridge. And I sat with her while she drank one of them. Stay hydrated everyone. I'm going to quick go back and read all of Tillie's warnings. Good reminder.

Diane!!!! So happy to hear from you.

YES YOU WILL get that root canal. We need you infection-free and healthy! Plus, you will worry Tillie sick, after she's done with you!! Sending you much love as you battle the heat and the infection! I still remember when you got your freezer installed-I'll take a smoothie if you are making them.

I am laying low other than dishes and garbage. Too hot. Just too hot. Many thanks to Tillie for the amnesty right now. Kitty's dishes and placemats are clean and clear and she has fresh water and food, so I know I'm doing the important things.

Thank you Tillie and Tess for the encouragement.

Going to go take a quick shower and crawl into bed. Goodnight, every one!

Hello ladies. I am doing Ok, thanks Tat and Tillie for thinking of me. I do not do well in the heat. I went to a rock hound club picnic gathering. It took me 1&1/2 hours to get out the door, I was so anxious, so by the time I got there food was put away, food makes me anxious, people make me anxious, groups, strangers, etc, but I did go and stayed almost 2 hours and was fairly comfortable there, very nice people. It was enough people for me for awhile. Doggie went home, it was nice having him here. The only thing I have done regularly is the dishes daily. Went to Costco today and loaded up on frozen berries and almond milk for smoothies for the heat wave we are having this week. House is good enough and would like to get some things done tomorrow. I had lot of overdue library things, dvds, book, magazines in the truck, then forgot to drop them off. Too hot now, can go after sunset and put in drop off slot. This morning I stained some cedar boards outside. I thought of you Tillie, remember when I painted all kinds of boards just because? Well that is what I was doing, just because. I have my root canal scheduled for Monday, I really want to cancel now that swelling is down from taking antibiotics.
Have to go through with root canal to get infection out of root area, only because after hip replacement, can't have infections which could spread to hip.
I am happy to read your plans to lay low until heat passes, gives me permission to lay low too.

Hi everybody!

It's been a few days so I wanted to check in quickly. Happy to see you all are moving forward. Anony, do this for yourself....not for him. You've been doing such a good job. Find something meaningful to put on that wall. Something you'll enjoy looking at. Don't give up now!

I haven't done anything productive in a few days. It's just been so darn hot. It's making me lazy. The little messes are driving me crazy, so I'm going to get back to it tonight for sure.

Goal:
-throw in a couple loads of laundry
-wipe down the kitchen
-wash dishes
-do a quick pick up around the house
-vacuum
-take out the garbage
-clean out a drawer

Y'all seem to be really making great progress?! YEA!!!
...im getting a bit stuck...part of it is im having some healthy anger surface at my ex...ive come out of denial about some things that he was really wrong about. It has made me less motivated to 'impress him' with telling him how beautiful my place is, someday soon...also, as the walls are getting more bare, its looking bleak & plain & torn up...its probably just the in between phase...part of me is losing part of who i am or was...i know that is what i need to create space for new phases of life, but im feeling a little empty...

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Wonderful planning to help you through the hot days! :D
Getting those daily things done like dishes, trash out, laundry and general tidying up are enough to handle until the weather starts to cool down.
Happy Dancing that you feel good about yourself! (((HUGS)))

There's a lot I could be doing but I will wait until the heat is over.
Just keeping the house tidy right now is enough for me too.
Have also not been working on getting him to declutter until it's cooler.
Unfortunately, the heat has not stopped his excessive acquiring.
Today is a "me" day.
Going to shampoo my hair, do a mani-pedi and watch some Netflix.
But first I am going to make myself French toast. :D

Diane
What's going on there with you? (((hugs)))

That is the perfect way to put it, Tillie--nauseatingly hot.

Let me tell you, I'm fine with what I did ONLY because I anticipated the heat and manages to get the house in so-so shape do it wouldn't make me crazy once it got hot like this. I'm glad I had everyone here to get moving.

I will work from home on Thursday and hopefully at that time I'll vacuum and wash the sink. I need to vacuum twice a week to keep up with kitty fur. When I first got her, I used to vacuum everyday. I am happy to be on a twice weekly schedule--really takes no time.

I'm just glad garbage is out. It is picked up really early on Tuesdays and I miss it of I wait til morning. I cleaned kitty's box--I do that each trash day, but that's s longstanding routine.

It's good to rebuild my habits with the dishes and the laundry. I feel good about myself.

Goodnight, dear hearts.

Hello everyone,

Tillie I made sure to include salt in my dinner tonight-thank you. And I will have a banana tomorrow, to keep the electrolytes where they need to be.

Today was laundry and dishes. Nothing else. Oh, I did get the garbage out. But that's it. We will see what tomorrow brings. Will not beat myself up--it is hot, hot, hot.

Missing my friend Diane!

Good Afternoon Everyone :)

Hi Anonymoniker :)
WOW! you are doing GREAT! :D

Hi Tatoulia :)
YW (((hugs))) ;)
Please make sure your electrolytes are good.
Could be the reason for your great thirst.
When I get like that I know I need a bit more salt in my diet to help me stay hydrated.

Hi SueB :)
You are doing FANTASTIC! :D
Your plans for getting things out and gone are really good too.
People love "free" stuff off the street. ;)

HELLO Diane :)
Hope you are doing ok. (((HUGS)))

The cats and I went outside at 6am and did watering and some weed pulling then visited with the neighbor friend.
Came inside by 10am when it was getting too hot.
The cats went to take naps and I did one load of laundry and cleaned the kitchen.
Did the usual every day stuff too and killed some wasps.
Ate lunch and have been resting, my back hurts from the weed pulling but it had to be done.
There is this "tangle" weed that is very pretty, looks like ivy with tiny white berries.
It was growing in my garden getting tangled around everything.
What a mess it was, but not any more. :D

Tomorrow should be a very easy day with nothing much to do, because I did it all today. ;)

Tatoulia, good for you enjoying some binge watching! Ive been The Big Bang Theory binge watching and its been great! I use it as a lure to get cleaning tasks done!
SueB, it sounds like youve gotten an enormous amount done already! Congratulations!!! That must feel good!
Last night i did another area of the bathroom. Every time i plunked junk into the garbage bag, it was like my physical body lifted up with relief! Thats the initial sensation...then, every time i go in there and see it, its like ive gone back in time, to before that crap got there...its kinda like im reverse aging...?!? ha ha ;D

Yay SueB! I hope you feel great! Fantastic work. For me, my indoor challenge so far is run dishwasher, do scads of laundry. I am pleased to report that folding and putting away clothes is now second nature for me!!! Yay! I need to vacuum as well as clean bathroom sink. It's just so sweltering here. I don't feel like doing a thing.

I have, no exaggeration, had 7 large glasses of water today and could drink another seven right now.
