I am grateful I took "before and after" pictures. It helps to remind me how far I have come, even though still a work in progress.

I am grateful for those who have cared for me in spite of....

I am grateful that I just received a copy of "Buried in Treasures". Now comes the hard work ... facing the reality of my situation in a realistic way that will actually lead to moving the mountains OUT of here.

I am grateful that due to the excellent care of the home health nurses he has been able to return to work today after all these months.
Their skill and hard work not only saved his leg but also gave him back his life.

I am grateful, also, for a cool bottle of water when I need it!

I am grateful to have enough money to at least pay on my bills even if I cannot pay them in full right now.

I am grateful for waking up extra early and getting to enjoy some end-of-the-night fresher temperatures (and that the big second heatwave they had promised for late July has so far stayed away). And for thinking about putting a bottle of water in the fridge before going to sleep last night so I could enjoy some nice cold water this morning. :)

I am grateful that I have grown enough not to be stung much by criticizers.

I am grateful there is a place (this place) to come to for help and encouragement.

I am grateful I finally woke up.

I am grateful to have the time alone to get my brain going again and to figure out where I am at with medicines, etc.

Grateful that today I got to go and sew with my girlfriends, got several blocks sewn. Also they had cooked roast beef for lunch, and since I'm 11 days out from payday and too broke to have anything like that on my own nickel, it was really a treat. I'll reciprocate somehow when I'm able. We all had a good time, and that was a happy thing.

Also I stopped by my storage and just tossed in some bulky items such as containers - it wasn't a real "Cleanup" session but it got the items out of my van which helps with weight, gas mileage, visibility, and made me feel better, too! ;)

Gratitude for having learned to walk again.

Gratitude for my friend's giving me a gently-used pair of New Balance athletic shoes in my size PLUS a new swimsuit. Now I don't have to worry about where I'm gonna come up with the money for decent shoes. Oh, and that takes away one of my excuses about getting to the gym, LOL!

I'm grateful that today is a new day and I don't feel as depressed as I did yesterday about the money thing. And I was able to be productive - since the weather is cool and we've had plenty of rain, I decided to go weed the garden, picking up where I left off when it got so hot and dry. I felt a sense of accomplishment.

The clutter is harder to tackle, but if I can keep the depression at bay I will be better equipped to deal with it as well.

Though I've had some new, still not good, realizations about my finances, I'm trying to come up with something to be grateful for. So here goes:

I'm grateful I found out about this sooner rather than later

I'm grateful there is still a TINY bit of money left even if it has to stretch 4 more weeks

I'm grateful for finding two lost items today. One was my prayerbook. I'd looked in the house and vehicle, no luck. Prayed to St. Anthony, patron of finding lost things - and it was inside the church on a table near the door! Apparently I'd left it there last week.

Then after I got home I found my really nice stapler that had gone missing in the move! So glad to have it back.

I am grateful today for my pastor and parish, for help received to get through this month, and his promise to pray for me because of the recent stress I've been under. For the kindness with which I was treated. Even for the tears I shed afterward when I was thanking God, because they were tears of relief.

Thank God it's PAYDAY!!! :)

I'm on disability, get paid once a month on the 3rd, and since in April the 3rd fell on a weekend it was the 1st instead. So it's been like 33 days since the last one. And I had multiple automotive repairs and moving expenses that cleaned out my bank account. Now, I can begin to rebuild.

I am grateful that my son was able to go back to work. He is not supposed to lift more than 30 lbs. so he can't do everything and doesn't know how many hours they will schedule him for. But he worked long enough to earn enough to pay the water bill.
...and I am grateful to be able to hear the frogs singing every night. Their songs are strong with all the rain we've had.

I am grateful for all of you ((hugs)) and glad to see your post, Roxie.

I've been hiking daily with my pup for a little while now and it has sort of been serving as meditation time for me. I really am one of those people who feels reenergized by nature and I feel myself coming alive when I'm out there. I am so very grateful that I am physically able to hike, that I have all of my senses to appreciate the beauty of my surroundings, and that I have the love of this little puppy and am able to take care of him and give him what he needs.
