Resources for clean-up help?

I will be moving into my parents' house sometime next year. They are living in an assisted-care facility now and I will be living in the house and getting rid of their hoard.

Since my dad will be overseeing this, I can't just chunk everything in the garbage and say goodbye to it. I would like to find a "good home" for things if I possibly can.

Are there any companies who will haul junk away AND donate it? Is there anyone who doesn't charge for picking up donations? I have a small car, not a big truck. I'd like to get rid of a lot of large things but some of them are still usable.

This is an upscale neighborhood I'm talking about. I can't leave it out front with a "free" sign on it. I can do that where I live NOW, but not in my parents' neighborhood. They life in the SF Bay Area. Any suggestions are welcome.
