I figure, any day (or week) when more goes out than comes in is a good one.

Are you taking pictures or setting goals to help with your sense of progress?

Is it mostly trash? If so, do you have a dumpster, or are you using your curb service?

Can you see the living room furniture? floor?

I think a lot of people do need counseling, but sometimes you just need someone to talk to. I'm glad your mom is helping you.

When did your mom take the kids? Was that an agreement to help you, or is it a conflict situation? What would you need to do to make a safe place for your kids? Can you safely prepare food in your home? Where are you starting with removing trash? Don't feel like you have to answer any of those. Most important, how can we help?

Thanks. Maybe a couple weeks ago. It's to help, not to take them away forever. Just clean my place up...trash out...clean all areas. I've started with the living room, going very slowly. Getting trash out first. I've done this behaviour for years. Need counseling I suppose. Thanks for replying.
