A couple more outs this week - took a pillow to a textile recycling drop and broke a bowl.  I’m sad about the bowl.  I made it for dd1 when she was a baby.

I made a little more progress on Saturday.

I cleaned out the gardening stuff and tossed all the old seeds in the compost and recycled the envelopes.  That was hard.  Dh says I can just order whatever I am actually going to plant in the spring.

I downsized one flower pot, a bowl, 3 glass terrarium jars, and 4 grow lights.

Ok, finally swinging back the other way.

yesterday I did a survey of some bookshelves and a light glance at toys, and I have 33 books and three toys ready to pass on to others.  There is another additional small stack of books waiting for ddil to give me feedback after she gets a chance to check her bookshelves.

Just posting to keep myself honest.  Not feeling a lot of “clean out” motivation these days though - too much going on, and actually started a “buy” list when buddy was here yesterday (although I think some of it is a “find” list.)

picked up 5 “new” books when I dropped the ones I wasn’t keeping (never counted in) at the free library.  And Dd gave me two nightstands and a toy she doesn’t want buddy to have at her house anymore (he throws the wooden balls so it is “supervision only”)

So, I finally went through the stack of books I brought home at the end of the year.  I am keeping 25.  That is about 2/3.

i have also brought home four small toys and four pieces of furniture during the set-up clean out of the building.  So that is 33 things in.

i’m going to fine myself another lego bin as well, even though i don’t think i have brought in that many.  I just want to be careful not to err on the wrong side.

In the absence of Lila, I am loosing my grip on this, but in the last week I have broken a bowl and decided I can part with two large refrigerator magnets.  I also bought three books, so that’s a wash?

I bought more Legos and I am fining myself a bin.  They are bulk lego so I don’t know any other way to count them.

I dropped off about a bin and a half of baby clothes yesterday, but I’m only counting one bin because the “half” is still taking up the same space.

so I’m now at 8 bins out - which is where I needed to be at the end of April to be on track to get everything in place this year.  So I’m about six bins behind.  And my year became crazy.

honestly I’ll be happy if I get four more out and end the year with a net out on items.

I threw out 3 bottles of things from my master bathroom cabinet that I never used and am sick of looking at.

And today I decided to throw out the printer that has not worked in a year. I have tried repeatedly to fix it and my son also tried.

I have been chipping away at my Tally. Today I cleaned out the cabinet above the fridge. It is deep, and about halfway back were things that no hands have touched in 20-30 years! I found cleaning supplies with expiration dates in 1997!!! I threw out the old, and donated several vases and a candle that is at least 30 years old. I was able to get rid of 12 items today. There were a few more from a week ago that I could not post because of the board change, but I still kept track.

Alright, time to get this thing going again. I am not getting rid of enough stuff.

This morning I looked around my bathroom, got rid of one container I have been hanging onto for months but not using, as it is plastic and I am trying to switch to mostly glass, and one hair product I have had for probably 8 years but don't like it but hold onto it and use it like once every 3 months. It is just taking up space on my counter at this point, I don't even like it and it will take me until I am 90 at this rate to use it up, so out it went. 2 items gone.
