Hello Jack :)
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
All of the successful posters here do have a motivating factor.
They have visions and plans for how they want their lives to be and work hard to achieve them.

I found myself in my mid fifty's and my personal life was a mess. My nice home worth $500,000 was a disaster. My house was such a mess on the inside I could not get a new refrigerator or gas range because of the embarrassment. I weighed 300 pounds and at a height of 5'11" I was obese.

I told myself enough was enough I can't live this way anymore.

So I needed a motivator... watching TV shows like Alaska The Last frontier and Life Below Zero, they kept mentioning they were motivated to kill animals so they can eat and cut wood to keep warm... I needed the same motivator..

I called the water company and had my water shut off. Without a working toilet I had to reduce my food intake so I don;t have to go to the [public restroom every day. I changed my diet to eat clean and went to the store for salads daily.

I called the garbage company and had a dumpster put in front of my house. I cleaned out my house in 1 month.

In 6 months I lost 110 pounds, and turned my water back on.

My reward was new appliances, 70 inch wide screen, new carpet, furniture and clothes.

At 190 pounds I'm going to the gym, still eating clean and going on my first date in a decade.

I have my life back, am happy and working on training for a marathon now. I feel like a million bucks!

You can do it, just create a motivator.
