Rosie how would anybody find you or contact you or anybody else willing to help for little or no compensation?

I don't know of an organization that will help, but I've had partial success just posting to a mailing list that I share with several friends in the area. If you can't do the physical labor yourself, and can't afford to pay, see if you can offer some other in-kind bonus -- I always offer to feed the volunteers, and ask them to take away anything that's still useful in general but has overstayed its welcome in my home.

Susan, I am really sorry to hear about the position you are in. I am honestly unaware of any organizations anywhere in the country that do this for limited or no funds. Many people find free assistance from their local churches. Other than that, I can't think of any resources for you. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

We are all on board to make huge changes in the way I, my daughter and young granddaughter are living. My daughter has major spinal issues and I have recently injured my back in a car accident. We will work our butts off, but know we cannot do this without assistance. We are also very limited financially and cannot pay full price to hire a cleanup company to come in. I need to find out if there are any volunteer or low cost groups that will come in to help out in the Brockton, Massachusetts area.
