My parents are downsizing, and my childhood room has a few boxes of items I kept from childhood as memory keepsakes. It has been 17 years since I've moved from there and even looked at the items. I haven't missed the items, but I feel conflicted about telling them to just chuck it all. I feel like I shouldn't even look.

Going over just to look would involve a flight ($) and time. I have a kindergartner and am pregnant with our second, so I would have to work around our kindergartner's schedule.

What should I do?
