I'm an adult and I'm concerned about the mold in the bathroom of my mom's house that I also live in. It's black mold, but sometimes there is orange stuff too. Some of the tiles in the shower have fallen off, and the mold has spread to the drywall behind it.

When my parents bought the house, the bathroom originally had a window in it and a fan in the ceiling. They filled in the wall so there's no longer a window. And at some point over the years the fan in the ceiling broke so now there is little ventilation.

What needs to be done to clean up the mold problem and what is the cost estimate? Would a whole shower/bathroom renovation be necessary?

I am concerned about the health effects from the mold and I've tried talking to my mom about it and she just wants to pretend it doesn't exist and not even talk about it.

Due to my own circumstances, I am unable to afford to move out. My mom doesn't have a lot of money either so I'm wondering if the situation is hopeless.
