We are visiting mom over the holidays specifically to help her.We didn't realize our visit was going to be a rescue mission!Mother is living in extreme filth! We have convinced her that we will help clean it.It really should be condemned,it's that bad!She wishes to live in Hawaii, and says she has the funds to do so.Also I have two siblings, one who has been estranged for many years and one who is well aware of the situation but takes advantage of mom for funds. Are we doing the right thing by not reporting her?Mom ,I mean. Also the fact that she is so gullible to give her money away.Especially when they(sister&grandkids) are well aware as to how she lives and they choose to ignore the situation. What would the best approach be?Mom is eighty.I'm afraid if we find her a place to buy in Hawaii, she would soon have that space hoarded. She'd have to be under a watchful eye.Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
