Hello,
I am sorry to hear about your neighbors cat and hoarding issues, as well as her car accident. This is maybe a good thing only in the sense that her cats can now be rescued and the home cleaned. I am just curious if your best friend has a cat rescue, wouldn't she have resources for the cats? As far as the cleaning, there are companies listed on this site, but unfortunately they are all going to charge as this is not an easy task by any means. I am not aware of any free resources out there for the cleaning portion of this job, sorry.

My bestfriend is a wonderful person with a full-time job who, on her own time, is the Director of a reputable cat rescue organization in New York. She dedicates her time, after working all day, to rescue, TNR, and care for unwanted cats and kittens. No, she is NOT the hoarder. Her neighbor, K., says she helps cats and has approx. 30 of them living in her home. Said neighbor is an alcoholic, has car accident last week and breaks some bones. K. asks my friend to feed the cats. Well,,,she goes in to feed the cats and turns out K is a Major Hoarder! Trash, mail, dishes, unemptied litterboxes, cat urine and feces all over floor, dog as well. K has one good friend, another neighbor P. P takes one whiff of the house, goes back outside and vomits. My poor friend is stuck with this nightmare because "it is not the cats' fault". Is there anyone out there willing to volunteer to help clean up this house for the animals? Hoarder has no $$. Please help!
