Wow, it sounds like a lot to do for a week. Can you set a timer and take frequent breaks? Maybe you can rest for 10 minutes at the end of every hour? This way you won't burn out in a couple of hours and have to quit for the day.
Good luck to you.

Mommy, I am sorry you are going through this. You need to mentally prepare yourself as this is a large task for someone with the hoarding disorder, but you can do it. If you won't accept help in your home, you don't have any other choice. If you need motivation or just to vent, join us on Sunday nights for our online support group. It really does help just to talk to others going through this as well.

I am a single mom of 2 toddlers and since my fiance walked out when my 2nd son was 5mths (2 years ago) my house has been getting worse and worse. Last weekend my neice had to pee and I had to make up some excuse why the bathroom was broken and she couldn't come in. That was it. My kids room has always stayed clean. But I went in and got rid of all the broken toys. Cleaned out the loft that is also a "clean room" and managed to get rid of 3 large garbadge bags full of stuff. My problem is the rest of the house. Up until 3 month ago the kitchen was also a "clean room" however it has since become a breeding ground for fruit flys. I don't even go in there anymore. My bedroom has been a dumping ground for everything. The living room is full of everything. My house has been foreclosed and I only have 1 more week to pack up and move.
My biggest problem is actually packing. I can get 3 or 4 boxes packed, then I am soo tired I don't want to move. I've been packing little by little and tossing as much as I pack. I just don't have the energy and I'm too embarrassed to let anyone else in the house.
Anyone have a good motivator or a way to get ther energy to push through my last 3 rooms?
