My mom was a horder I am a horder. I moved from Ca. to OK. I brought everything! Now after five years I still have a storage building full. I had made some progress but then in 2010 a tornado took our house out so everything that we thought could be saved was put in there during a heavy rain storm that followed the tornado for three days. So much is damaged and so much to go through. Everytime I try to go through it I get very upset and my back really starts hurting. I am disabled have ruptured disks in neck and back. I end up bringing things either up to the house porch or in the house and then set them down to figure out what to do with them. I am loosing this battle. I have worked very hard on fixing me in the last year or so. I only go to yard sales if I am looking for something we really need like book case, dresser and such. I still like to look at everything but have in my mind where will it go when I take it home? It can't stay in the car, can't go in the house if I can't use it right now. That helps me decide if I need it or just want it. I have been doing really good. I just don't have long on my feet working before I can't stand any longer. I just really want someone to go through it and throw most of it out and just save the few persona items and collectables that are there. My house is a bit cluttered. I need for someone to come in and help I don't know how I grew up in a horders house end table heck all table were always full of stuff. Whe I try to clean the stuff I don't know where to put it. I could just cry sometimes. I hope being here will help me I am in my 60's and sometimes feel much older what a mess I have.
