Hello ImaMess, Let me say this. I have no doubt in my mind that you want to clean your home. It sounds like you have changed within yourself recently and are able to do some things you haven't been able to do for years so congratulations to you!!!Without knowing you or how severe the hoarding is, I would hate to have everyone on here tell you, you can do it, get you all fired up, and then it doesn't happen. This would leave you discouraged and probably set you back for a long time which to me would be a terrible thing since you are so motivated right now. If you really want to take this on yourself, which I hope you have already started and kicked it into high gear. Why don't you tell us what you were able to accomplish this weekend and then we can guage whether or not you will be able to make your deadline. Many people with this disorder have the desire to clean their home, but most of them physically and/or emotionally just can't do it alone. You really need some support and some helpers to get this done in such a short time frame. I would love nothing more than to hear you reply to this and say you cleaned half your house this weekend. If you didn't make that great of progress, don't let it get to you, just keep plugging away and give it a few more days of your best. The closer you get to your deadline, the more stress you are going to feel so try to keep yourself motivated and take breaks when the job seems too overwhelming. Never work yourself to a breaking point. As a last resort, I have a lot of qualified companies listed on this site that can help you, but if you wait too long they won't be able to fit you in. Keep us updated on your progress and know we are all supporting you!
