Welcome, Wes. Read all you can here and elsewhere, and post as inspired. You can get a LOT of support from people who understand (because we are or have been or are struggling to maintain new ways).

Tillie,
Unfortunatly I can't afford to hire help as due to my hoarding and Marriage, Filed for Bankruptcy in 2010 so have no credit until after 2015.... So I am just on my own and I do indeed intend to use the message boards and Chat Sessions to get myself through this....I am motivated and ready to go just need the push and shove to do so.

Hi Wes :)
It is true that too many items do cause the brain to become over loaded with input.
Can you afford to hire help to get your home decluttered and organized?
If not, many people have found the ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP and daily posting here on the message board to be helpful.

Welcome :)

Hi, I am 48 and have a 5 year old son that has Asperger syndrome and ADHD. Which he inherited from me, only I wasn't diagnosed until an Adult, he has been identified early and in treatment.

His mother and I are divorced and She has a clean, uncluttered , organized home where mine is the opposite Messy, Cluttered and unorgnized.

His dr and Therapist have said he needs to have consitency and both places like hers. My son has told his therapist that Daddy's place causes a storm in his brain.

I also suffer from depression from many tragic events in life that have pushed me repeatedly into the hospital and ECT treatments.

I have repeatedly been trying to unclutter but when I do get so far and then I just get tired and want to sleep.

I need to get my place clean and decluttered as until I do I can only have visits with my son , no overnight stays. Which I do miss since I was told all this around 3 weeks ago.
