I uu to be a hoarder. But now for some reason I a the total opposite. I have nothing. I have my work clothes and 2 pairs of shoes. I've become almost compulsive about cleaning.

I've been watching episodes of "Hoaders" on Lifetime lately. I find watching the shows helps to keep me motivated to carry on and not fall backwards into old ways. It was actually Cory who helped inspire me to finally reach out to a cleaning crew and get help. His manner with the hoarders (as well as some others on the show) reassured me.

With some of the hoarders, I don't know how they refrain from smacking them upside the head. :)

I hope that Lifetime will pick up "HOARDERS" so that new episodes can be made.

If for some reason they don't though, then I think that Cory and Matt should try to get their own tv shows; or maybe even try to get a tv show together. That would be really AWESOME!!!!! :)

Lifetime has been showing all the episodes and getting even better ratings than A&E ever did.

That is why I am hopeful that Lifetime will pick up "HOARDERS" and then there will be new episodes made.

Even though I can't watch them. :(

Sorry! I had no idea. :(

I heard some talk about A&E giving "HOARDERS" to Lifetime but I didn't know if they actually did it yet.

No she can't.
A&E has given HOARDERS to Lifetime tv & they don't show them online.

The A&E site wants you to use your cable/satelite provider to even access any episodes.

I don't understand all this and I am not happy about these changes. :(

Oh, so that's where all my vibrators went...Fuzzie and Fredd stole them. Lol. ;)

I loved last night's episode of "HOARDERS"! :D

Fuzzie and Fredd are my new all time favorite hoarders. :D

They should definitely get an award for being the coolest hoarders in the world. :)

They are so weird! In a really AWESOME way. :)

I love weird people! :D

THE WEIRDER THE BETTER!!!!! :D

I have a funny feeling that I am going to love tonight's episode of "HOARDERS". :)

Today while I was looking at the guide on my tv I found out that one of the hoarders that is going to be on tonight's episode is named FUZZIE! :D

That is such an awesome name! :D

And I also found out that 2 of the hoarders that are going to be on tonight's episode are former punk rockers. :D

I love punk rock dudes. Lol. :D

The hoarders that are going to be on tonight's episode are Fuzzie and Fredd and Nancy.

I have a funny feeling that the former punk rockers that are going to be on tonight's episode are Fuzzie and Fredd. :D

Yes, this episode was a good one.
Just hope they keep up with the therapy and continue to declutter and learn better life skills.

I told Cory just last Sunday that the episodes I like best are the ones with a man who has a lot of "guy" stuff.
So this one was made to order. :D

My livingroom would look just like Jeff's if I didn't work hard to make it a NO CLUTTER ZONE.
And Jeff's bedroom looked an awful lot like my hoarder's bedroom. ;)

Last night's episode of "HOARDERS" was great. :)

I loved that Dorothy got to go dumpster diving with Marlene and then went back to her house and made dinner with her. :D

For a while there, earlier in the season, I was starting to think that Dorothy wasn't going to get to do anything like that this season; that maybe it was like a "Guys Only" thing or something.

I think one of the reasons that I thought that Matt peeing in Jan's yard was kind of sexy might have something to do with the fact that Matt is one of my crushes; because after I told my boyfriend that I thought that Matt peeing in Jan's yard was kind of sexy, he asked me if I wanted him to go pee out in the yard too, and I told him no. Lol.

What I liked was seeing the families talking about old painful issues.
Clearing the air.
Then the hoarders were able to start letting go of the past along with the stuff. :D

And there have been times here when I would have rather peed in the yard than try to use the bathroom after he was done in there. :D lol

I didn't pee in the yard but really wanted to.

Last night's episode of HOARDERS was really good. :D
Jan's dogs were so adorable! :)
I loved it when Matt got into Jan's bed with all of the dogs. I loved the dog that was sleeping leaned up next to Matt. I thought that was so cute. :)
My 2 dogs, Cory and Matt, do the exact same thing to me. They sleep right next to me in my bed at night.
My favorite part of the episode was when Matt walked out of Jan's house holding the pillow the morning after he spent the night in her house. LOL.
He looked so confused when he first walked out of her house. And I loved that he had major bedhead. LOL.

I am so glad that my aunt's parents were not like BG and Lee when I went to Seattle to help them clean out their hoarded home. My aunt's parents were so much more cooperative then BG and Lee were.

I enjoyed last night's episode.
Chris was typical in starting out slow and frustrated but learned by the end to let go of the clutter and keep only the things he really wanted or needed.

He was REALLY motivated at the end too!
Cory said he revealed a hidden crawl space and let go of another full truck load of stuff. :D
WTG! Chris!!! :D

The other couple featured were no where near being ready to unclench their grips on the stuff.
Too much emotion and resentment between them.

To see all those empty trucks and strong helpers standing around ready and willing to work but unable to is frustrating.

Cory,
You have seen enough in your lifetime and will see even more with the work you do.

Please just erase the episode. No need for you to watch it.

Rest assured that the cats are no longer suffering and the animal hoarder is being closely watched to make sure she never has any animals ever again.

Sincerely, Tillie

I have a friend that might be an animal hoarder. I actually never found out about all the cats that she has until her mom told me about them one day. She has 10 cats and she says that she wants even more cats.

Last night's episode was hard to watch but if we keep turning a blind eye to animal hoarding nothing will ever change.

This issue must be brought out into the bright light of day. Everybody must see it as it truely is.

This was just one case.
There are hundreds of thousands of other cases going on right now and for those poor helpless animals there is no hope unless someone intervenes.

Susan was a tough case.
Frustrated everyone there.
But with Mimi now living elsewhere Susan's hoarding won't be hurting the family as badly.
She still sees gold in all the junk so I don't think she will ever change.
She is not safe dealing with the under belly of society.

P.S. I am from Tucson.
My ex husband's uncle owned an auto wrecking/salvage yard there.
But his place was neat & organized.
When people came to buy a part he could just walk over to where the part was stored and get it.
His business was very profitable. :)

Just finished watching the episode online.
The suicide attempt was very sad.
Just when help arrived.
I know how very depressing life with a hoarder is.
People are always telling me I should clean up the mess outside.
They don't care to understand that I can't, it's not my stuff.
I just over compensate by keeping my "No Clutter Zones" inside clean & clear.
If I didn't have my "zones" I don't know what would have ever become of me. :)

Really liked the kids bedrooms and wish them all the best.

OK
Very hard to watch episode.
When Matt Paxton says it's the worst he's seen that is really saying something!

Soooooo very happy that woman will not be living on her own any more.

Looks like Dr. Green made a great break through with the Mother and Son relationship.
I thought she was hoarding more to keep her Son away because the relationship was strained but the relationship was strained because of her wall of hoarding.

Laughed out loud when the daughter in law asked if you people had ever done this kind of work before. :D

Was nice when she finally saw how you get to the great results by helping the hoarder and not just by clearing out the hoard.

I feel good about the out come for both people.
Wishing them all the best.

Tillie-

15 hour work-days; 6 days a week (sometimes, 7 days a week), travel for work (flying or driving).

House
Kids
Shopping
Laundry
Cooking
Developmentally disabled child

No time to watch a show online :)

I catch up when I can and honestly, have not seen most of the past shows due to my schedule.

Wow, that music is getting worse and worse. The death metal during our Alvin portion was really unnecessary and completely overwhelming. I am not sure why they think that is needed. I hope they can read the reviews and go back to letting us here what is being said.

You can watch the episode later online.
From the preview it looks like a good one.
Cory looked totally frustrated. :D lol

Marty is on canned Hill's Prescription diet i/d for now and later I have some prescription dry food for him.
He has been resting well and getting stronger all the time.

Take care of yourself.

I'm on 15 hour work-days for the rest of the six-day work-week, so no Hoarders tonight.

The only thing I'm going to do is clean the kitchen when I get home, feed the cats, shower, and fall into bed.

I can see how I missed your first post about Marty - Tillie - I generally post from my phone and can't see too much. Glad he is doing better (is he on a/d canned?)

Since we moved to this area 25 years ago there has been only one local charity that we have been supporting.
This charity helps people born with learning disabilities and others who face new challenges due to brain injuries.
The clients are given work related education in a classroom setting and also training in managing the operation of their thrift shop.
They sort, clean and organize all the donations. Clean and stock the store and some are even able to advance to working the cash register.
Many go on to hold jobs out in our community.
This is a licenced, board certified, state funded operation.
We were fortunate that my hoarder was able to return to his job and did not need their services.

Having a charity who's cause you feel very strongly about makes donating a joy. :)

Very good episode!
I especially liked the make over at the salon. He looked like a new man. :)

Having a clear and organized space should really help him to be able to function at a higher level.
As long as he doesn't resist after care help with keeping organized he should be safe to live alone there.

The reenactment of the accident was a new feature.

The lizards were cute but I always hate having one run across my body when I am laying in bed.
That spider was so creepy!
I liked that you went dumpster diving and gave us a glimpse into his thinking and reasoning about his finds.

Both stories were very sad and the people touched my heart. I wish them all the best.

Tillie,
So glad you like it. I think this will really simplify his life as well. He has been going to therapy since April so that is a great sign! I don't really like the re-enactment feature. It felt like I was watching a rerun of 911 with William Shatner.
The lizards I didn't mind at all, but that spider had longer legs than I did, so it freaked me out a little.
I really do like spending time with the people and living their lives. I know it really opens my eyes up to a lot more than just their "stuff" and that was my intention when suggesting it to the show. It isn't to gross out the viewers or embarrass the hoarder. It really just gives an entirely new prospective on a hoarders lifestyle as you know all too well. Glad you liked last nights episode and stories :)
