Thank you to everyone who commented. Thanks especially to Cory Chalmers who is willing to move forward with the idea.
The concensus seems to be that the bracelet idea is a good one. Everyone agrees that a portion of moneys collected should go to help people who do not have the funds begin the process. Most people think the $35 cost from Bravelets is too expensive and that we should look at something cheaper.
The rubber stamped bracelets are cheaper but someone would need to take charge of ordering them, distributing them and handling the funds. (Part of Bravelets cost is that it handles all of that for us and then sends 28.57% of money collected to Hoarding Cleanup)
Several of you are crafty and might consider making some and selling them. In addition to distributing them and collecting the money, you would also need to figure in how much it will cost to make each one.
I am unwilling to do any of that. I have too much on my plate already. So if anyone out there wants to take the ball and run with it, fine.
As for me, I did purchase a blue Bravelets bracelet through Anxiety Disorders. It came this week and is a very nice piece of jewelry that I will wear as a reminder to stay the course and not let life's circumstances overwhelm me.
Thank you again for exploring this topic with me. You never really know whether you have a good idea or not until you put it out there.

$3.5 is too much. Costs a few dollars to make. good to sell for $10-12, so everyone could , and yes would be good to have words to encourage us to keep cleaning

Maybe we could find a place to have our own bracelets made and sell them ourself.
Then all the profit could go into the fund to help people.
We could have them printed with a motto of our own.
Something like "yes I can" or whatever.
We could vote on it.

Hi Barb,
I would like to thank you for a couple of things. First, you are being proactive which is always encouraged! Thinking outside of the box is what we do here at our office as you never know when someones idea will be THE thing that makes a difference. I would completely be behind something like this and will support it and you all in any way I can. Setting up a fund would be no problem at all. My only question is can we find them a little cheaper from another manufacturer so more people will be able to afford them? If not, maybe we can put some of the money towards that too??

Here is the link so you can look at them. https://bravelets.com/
They just say "be brave". The only thing that would mark this as a recovering hoarder bracelet would be if we chose to adopt a certain color. Diabetes uses blue, breast cancer pink, etc. They cost $35 and $10 of your money goes to the cause.

I like the idea that the money could go toward people who need but can't afford cleanup services.

I like the idea. What would it say on bracelet? Would not like---recovering hoarder-ugh
Would like a positive like "clean and organized"
or "enjoying simplicity" or enjoying simple things in life, or less is more, or some other positive words that are where we want to be forever
Thanks barb

Hi everyone,
I know this idea is way out there, but I would like to explore this idea.
There is a company called Bravelets that manufactures bracelets that proclaim the courage to overcome various obstacles in life. I was introduced to this group while I was teaching when I had a little girl with selective mutism. A portion of the money they make for each bracelet goes back to the organization.
I know that if I wore a bracelet like this everyday, it would help me focus on the fact that I am overcoming hoarding and do not have to be defeated by it.
My questions are:
1. would you purchase something like this?
2. what color would you like them to make
I still need to ask Cory if his bookkeeper would be willing to take any money earned from the sales and put it in a special fund to help people who need financial help
