Hello. Go to the "national resources" button above, click on it, then click on your state. It will pull up some names of cleaning companies and of therapists. That is a place to start. Good luck.

I'm on disability for malnutrition, poor health, and mental health issues and don't keep house or make decisions well. My landlord is coming tomorrow morning because I now have bedbugs and possibly lice (don't know if I caused them, however; my neighbor hoards) which can't be addressed unless the clutter is removed. My apt is not empty enough or clean enough to suit him (or me either, I just have a lot of challenges and no family nearby). Last time he toured, he berated and insulted me. Who knows what happens this time? My credit is shot, got zippo in savings, so the only way I can get another apt is with this man's recommendation - it's all I have going for me. Is there anyone who has advice about cleanup services just north of Seattle whom I could suggest to him? Are landlords in Washington State legally required to carry insurance for the bug infestation issue? Are there any advocates for the mentally ill, anyone who could be with me when he comes? He is a short-tempered, pushy man who is offering to "help" me by taking away boxes of stuff, but I have trouble making decisions about every item and I don't think we will work well together at all! If he evicts me, what rights do I have to find my own help or to keep my apt under the Americans with Disabilities Act? And since I have no money or credit, how can I get time payments with a cleanup company? Ideas on any of this would be appreciated.
