well these are guesses because of the flood
4 foot x 4 foot x 4 foot pile of donations, guess:
300 plus items
95 gallon cart full of rugs, rags and all kinds of damaged stuff from flood plus house hold trash
200 plus items I would guess
total 500 plus

I have tossed
6 bags of household trash
2 outside garbage cans of rubbish
New total = 8
Previous total = 34
New total = 42
I did a 15 minute challenge outside to see how much of his trash I could gather up before the timer "dinged" and managed to fill these 2 garbage cans full/over flowing. :D

I'm not even sure I can remember what has gone out since I was last online on the 17th! But here's a few at least:
2 large garbage bags of clothing donations to car (newly washed and folded)
2 large garbage bags of cruddy stuff to the garbage from my laundry shed including moldy clothing and junk
3 bags of garbage
6 pieces of junk mail
1 out of date milk container (rinsed and into recycle bag)
1 bag of used books to car for donation

Thank you Susan I love to hear those kinds of stories with a throwaway. It helps me feel more connected and understood here without judgement or criticism.
I found my best cutting board which was a large block of thick wood with very short legs on it, but it was broken in two! It was my father's and so cherished but... I have other things from my dad so I...
threw it out! 1 cutting board (rest in pieces)

I was going to keep a ripped sheet thinking, well maybe somebody can use this, and then came to my senses. I don't want to put it on a guest bed by mistake and have them worry that they ripped a sheet. I don't need any more rags and nothing needs covering.

I was going to give up the grey paint as my 1 gallon give away, paint hoarder that I am. Then realized I could use the grey paint on walkway cement, so I cleaned and painted cement today. It is hard for me to give away paint, so will have to find another gallon to give away this week. It was hard cleaning the crap up off cement after heavy rain, made thick mud with the 20 years of dirt,, all gone now and painted grey. I can walk through there without worrying about turning sideways or having something fall on me, still lots of junk to get rid of there but so much better. I really have to focus on progress, was saying "why can't you just get rid of that pile of crap?" then focused on wide area that is clean and said there is tomorrow to finish more of it.

1 bag of trash I need to pick it up! The pace, that is!
My son-in-law brought me several more boxes today and just put them willynilly here and there so I have even more to do but that's alright.

15 hand painted wood santa bells
6 sets nesting dolls
72 ducks, daffy, sailor ducks, cowboy ducks, police ducks, etc., entire collection, a friend and I were having a contest to see who could collect the most ducks, each had to be different. Why you ask?
3 vases
7 glass bowls

1 duck beak, for costume
8 dog toys
6 old leashes, training collars
5 pieces fabric
6 old rugs
2 carpet remnants
14 old towels, washclothes, hand towels
5 empty paint cans

ALL of the cardboard boxes that were in the driveway are on the curb for recycling pick up tomorrow.
ALL of the bulk garbage pick up items are gone.
2 large cans of trash at the curb.
With limited and expensive garbage pick up just getting rid of items has been a challenge but we are gradually figuring out the best system.
