Hi Johnny,

On keeping expenses down, you might look into a pod. Usually you can load it in one place and have it put in storage and then delivered to another place.

It won't help your daughter if you get rid of any of her stuff "for her" but obvious trash or things that will mold/mildew/ruin other things in storage should be discarded anyway. You will be able to be of more help to her later if you can leave that to the boyfriend's family and just be the person who rescued as much of her stuff as possible.

I cannot help you with the dog. Maybe try to find a rescue organization? If your daughter will be able to reclaim the dog, they might be able to place it with a foster family.

Im new here but in recovery myself and familiar
with the recovery process. My 29 yr old daughter is in treatment now for her own addiction. Additionally she has been a hoarder. For 6 yrs she has lived w her bf at his parents house. Her hoarding has completely dominated one bedroom of their home and crept into another living area. The bf's family does not want her to come back to their home and wants her belongings gone. My daugher will be continuing Outpatient Treatment in a diff state for the next 90 days. So I have agreed w bf fam to remove all my daughter's stuff.
Here's my questions:
1. Any recommendations for a company to do this work - Pheonix area; May need the things hauled to a Storage Unit in CA. Any recommendations at all to keep costs low or things to watch for ?
2. Daughter also brought a small dog to bf's house
that bf's parents DO NOT WANT. I can not take this dog. I'm thinking dog has to go to humane society but realize that cud be devasting for my daughter. Any ideas ?
3. Any words of advise are welcome.

Thank you
