Tillie,
I think Roxie's post has 2 important keys. time can, if allowed, make a difference. The issue for us living beings on a living earth is one of the perceptions we bring to the time after a separation. Loss or what's left. I found a little brown bird dead by the front drive. It was s couple of days before I remembered to dispose of the body. When I did, I realized I was grieving the dead bird to the extent of almost missing the mourning dove, probably the one born this year, flying around the back yard. When we are able to live in grace, we can extend it, to both ourselves and those around us. Dave.

((((Tillie)))) I am so sorry, dear sister. You are always here for all of us, and I wish to be here for you, too. The shock must seem unendurable but please hang in there, get yourself whatever support you may feel you need, as well as support for your friend when he/she is ready. Death in any form changes us, but suicide makes us feel terrible. My favorite aunt committed suicide when I was a young adult. In some ways I understood, but some part of me is still angry and mournful that she left us so soon and without knowing why. It WILL get better. Hugs

So sweet of you to offer Tatoulia (((HUGS)))
No need to send your book, but thank you anyway.
I have managed to get people into grief counseling and just in case that book is not available there I will find a copy on Amazon.
Thanks for mentioning the title. :)
Again, Thank You (((hugs)))

Tillie there is a very good book called No Time To Say Goodbye, which is about surviving suicide of a loved one. I cannot find my copy, which I was going to send to Cory and ask him to send to you. I do recommend it as it helped me through a terrible situation a decade ago. Could I purchase this book for you and have it sent to Cory for further handling?

Yesterday the whole world was turned upside down.
Everything is all in disarray.
There is no way to fix this, no way to make it all better.
There are no words that can be spoken to help ease the pain or mend the hearts.
This is the kind of wound that never heals and will forever burn and torture our thoughts.
Yesterday my Friend's adult son, his only child,
committed suicide.
No Father should ever have to cry this way.
There are no words to make it all better.
As we all gather together to plan the funeral we know that we will all carry this pain to our own graves.
I know his intent was not to hurt us all in this way.
He was not thinking about the grief he would leave behind.
He was an important part of our lives and was loved dearly.
Now we start on this impossible journey, going forward day by day, carrying this in our hearts forever.
