Hi, guys. Can you please check the Welcome board as there are a few folks who need some support and are not getting responses. I responded today, but some of you share some of the issues, I think. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Hi Karl,

I hope it all goes really well for you! Workplaces are getting so demanding these days. But bravo for having the guts to keep trying. :)

I was diagnosed with both Asperger's and ADHD, several years ago, and I lost my job when I was unable to focus on the tasks I'd been assigned. (I was also going through a medication change, though I don't blame that for the outcome.)

I've recently recaptured the attention of the same company. It would be great if I could work there again, but I need to figure out how to present my history (the current contact doesn't know that I've worked there before), and have a plan for avoiding a repetition of the same issues.

I'm ADD inattentive type and it drives me nuts when I can't organize my brain before I have to deal with organizing everyday routines, much less tackling my clutter. I need to see the "big picture" then break it down into smaller areas, like outlining a college term paper sort of.

I'm also NOT a morning person. Trouble is, mornings seem to happen sooner than I expect them to! I have so much trouble hitting the ground running, which wouldn't be an issue except that I'm living with a friend and so there's a certain amount of morning coordination and I don't want to be difficult in taking my time to make my lists and such.

The summer heat is also a factor right at the moment - I need to get out and do some yard work and take care of my pets but my body moves like a turtle in the mornings and my brain like a slug.

Now that I've written this I need to get going on those morning tasks for today . . . Hope anyone who relates to this will feel welcome to post here, no official diagnosis of ADD/HD required, if you're brain-muddled in any way, you know what I'm talking about! ;)
