Good reminders Tillie, getting stuff out of house and to donation center, prevents if from slipping back into the house, and opens up some space.

WAY TO GO! Getting two bags of clothes gathered! :D
Have you taken them to the donation center yet?
It really helps clear some space when things are removed from the home soon as you get them ready to go.
Recycling is great to do but it really takes up a lot of space when it stays in the house.
If your trash service allows it, maybe some recycling can just go in the trash for now just to get you more living space.
Could you make a schedule to get donations and recycling off to the places soon after you have gathered them up?
The more that leaves the home the more progress you will see. :)

Hello,
No, I haven't started the process of not bringing new things in consciously. I have one pet. My biggest issue is PAPER and RECYCLING! I have LOTS of recycling or thjngs ti he recycled but they don't always make it there. I get paralyzed by what goes and what stays. I have MANY clothes although I've reduced by 2 big bags full.

Hi WannaB :)
Tell us a little bit about your struggles so we can offer more support.
What areas do you want to tackle the most at first?
Are there any pets or children?
Have you stopped bringing in more new items?
That is important.

I hear you HELLO.
I TRY AND TRY AND I SEEM TO FAIL. I'm letting myself down and my family. I'm sad about how it makes me feel. I don't have company over and I want to. I'm really low right now and want help. sometimes when my schedule is free, I take time and purge but it always seems to creep up on me AGAIN. I took one huge bag of clothes to Goodwill and was so happy about it but I still need to let go of so much more. It's beyond my reach at times. My basement is filling up and that effects me.
