I am going to go for a walk to the bank. Sunshine and unseasonable warm weather. Snow melted away leaving the mess in the back yard on view - so thinking about how to plan an exterior clean-up. For now though, happy that a couple of weeks ago, we actually had someone over - main rooms clear enough to entertain without embarrassment. Huge effort....but worth it. Just spent 1/2 an hour going through my mother's old jewelry box - 1980's - 1990's earrings - why can't I let those go? And then the old rings - I don't know which great grandmother they are from any more. Did I ever know? I wonder if it is worse to know or not know?

Coffee clinks! I'm up early today because I forgot to put phone on silent and I could hear a lot of texts coming in. Friend's baby was born!

Another mild day here but with rain. Yesterday was in the fifties. Will take mom shopping for a new mattress today. I discovered that a spring has sprung while making her bed last week.

All these demands on my money. Well worth it, naturally, but still a bit distressing. I act like it's nothing in front of mom.

Hello everyone!

Elsie, start where you need to! We are glad you are here! I live alone, in a city, with one cat. I have a small apartment. For a lot of reasons I have too much stuff. I have gotten rid of countless bags and boxes (mainly donated as I don't have bugs/rodents/water flooding/mold). Books are an issue and I have gotten rid of over 20 boxes of books since coming on this site. I was also big on owning multiples of things and buying in quantity when things went on sale. I also wanted to be a hero--if anyone needed something, I wanted to rush to sVe the day because I'd have the thing. I continue to struggle but not like I used to. I am still trying to let go of things. My bedroom is neat and clean although I struggle with other areas of my house. So that's me, in a nutshell.

Joan! You've had a cold but you still are going to yoga?! You are remarkable.

Tillie your dollhouse must give you so much pleasure.

Well today with brother went very well. No tension and he was pleasant. When I stopped for gas he automatically jumped out of the car to pump the gas. So he was really pretty good all around. I did take him to see my BF and to see mom. Then BF and I ran some errands and did a little shopping. Now he's at work and I'm doing laundry. Just changed my sheets. Dishwasher is running.

As soon as I can get my second load out of the dryer I will take a shower and go to bed. In the meantime I need to put on some music to putter by.

Hi everyone!

Welcome Elise. We feel free to say most anything we want to say here.

You bring up a good point: Hoarding and isolation go hand-in-hand. Even hoarders who do not end up in an isolated living situation (like the Hikkomori in Japan, a subject that fascinates me), hoarders face daily hurdles that only fellow hoarders can understand. This board is a great way for hoarders to connect, and to know that others face similar difficulties in life.

I have had - GAK❗️ a cold this last week which is just now winding down. I have had piles of serious health conditions, but this was my first cold in years. I am feeling more optimistic about life after yoga class this morning.

Porter, I too have a replacement front tooth! Had a bad bike accident at the age of 9, and the tooth finally needed to be replaced in my early 50s.

Tillie, your dining room must look great. Tat, good to hear from you. Hi SubC, CM! Anony, where are you? With Car 54?

Hi Elise :)

You are among friends here. :D
Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your home.
Do you live alone?
Do you have any children?
Do you have any pets?
Do you have problems with too much stuff?
Do you have trouble keeping the house clear & clean?

I have four cats. :)

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Porter :)
WAY TO GO! for your fitness routine and an even bigger WTG! for having a clean house! :D
Learning to love ourselves is so very important.
We all need to learn how to forgive ourselves and to treat ourselves as we would want to treat others.
Let the past be in the past as we move forward and learn from the past how to be better more rounded humane humans in the present.
(((hugs)))

Hi Tatoulia :)
You're welcome ;)
Fingers are crossed that today is a pleasant and enjoyable time for you and your brother.
(((hugs)))

Brrrrr.... very cold today.
Wish I had more things to bake because that made the house so warm & toasty yesterday.
LOL ;D
Think I am just going to putter around inside today.
Straighten my room, play with the doll house, watch some Netflix, etc...
The cats have all been changing their routines, doing things differently.
They all have been wanting more petting and have been doing a lot more cuddling with me.
They have been playing more with toys.
Twinkles still keeps looking for and asking for his Marty.
They were best buddies all their lives. :)

Weigh in 228. Im happy with the progress.
2 fasts a week
2 fish dinner a week
2 meatless days a week
1 steak dinner with sweet potato

im jumping rope every other day even on fast days
in two minute sets . As if I go longer than 2min I get hungry.
I drink apple cider vinegar mixture on meat days.

im doing compound lifting at the gym on the 3 meat days.
My crush on a woman didnt work out, but im motivated to not adopt the longevity lifestyle. Part of that is not being obese. I have so much time on my hands now that my place is spotless. So going to the gym before going home I still have 11 hours of at home time everyday.

Today im redoing my clothes closet due to needing to get get new work uniforms. So I need new clothes too right.
I cant wear size 42 anymore but 38 is a little tight but I can still get into them and button. So im redoing my closet. I have three pairs of clothes for every pant size down to size 30 which I wore when I stopped growing at 18.
that way when I need to buy new clothes per size . I only need to buy 4 for new set of clothes for 7 days worth.

i keep only clothes in the clothes closet. Or I start filling the closet with other stuff until I only kjep the clothes hung near the washer and dryer. Currently im buying an outfit for every 5lbs I lose. Geared for dating. At least I know im unafraid to walk up to woman and ask for a date. When I was younger doing that gave so much anxiety but so did have an unruley hoard. Now I have no anxiety about having a cooking date at my house. Havent had one yet, but I know it will just happen when I meet someone.
This week was tough at work. But I know its making me stronger . I like myself when I feel strong. So its the im trying to transform into a thinner person so woman with love me. But I want to transform into a thinner person so I will love myself even more. Loving myself was an issue for a very long time. But now that my house is cleared and my body is healthy I do feel better about myself. So I. Doubling fown on that.

"Clink!"

Hi Tatoulia :)
It always takes a little time to readjust to new schedules.
Soon you will be back on track getting ready for your friend's visit and all the wonderful new changes you two plan to make in your home. (((hugs)))

Overcast, lightly snowing today. Temperature on the back porch is a balmy 19 degrees right now.
Everything outside is a frozen icy wonderland.
I had the electric radiators on last night but the house is still very chilly so I am trying to warm us up with the Edenpur heater now.
Planning to bake this morning.
Cupcakes, corn bread muffins and scalloped potatoes.
I will wrap and freeze the cupcakes and muffins for later but want to bake them now just for the warmth.
Plus it will smell so good in here. ;D
Then I will need to clean the kitchen, again.
Have no other ideas or plans but it's only 8am so plenty of time to think of things to do.

Hello everyone. Nothing to report but I'm thinking if you. We had more seasonable weather today--snow and a bit of freezing rain.

Going to the office on Thursdays has definitely affected how much I get done at home. Conversely I'm getting a lot done at work. I need to make better use of my time when I'm home.

Hello ;)

Was a beautiful day!
Snowed, sun shined, snowed, sun shined...
off and on all day long.
Pooh Kitty had an upset stomach so I spent a LOT of time cleaning up vomit.
Walked out in the falling snow to get the mail.
Received a sympathy/condolence card from the veterinarian clinic and all the people there signed it and put in little notes.
Started me crying all over again.
Did some updating on my android tablet and was finally successful in getting my youtube to play on the ROKU. YEA!!! :D
Watched a few episodes of The Walking Dead on the tablet since it was on anyways. ;P
Tossed out some nibbles for the birds.
Ate a grilled cheese sammich.
Actually didn't do much of anything today.
Sun is going down now and it will be extremely cold tonight, been extremely cold all day today.

Hi Tatoulia :)
Thank you :D
Hope you got some good & restful sleep.
WTG! for doing dishes & laundry!
Keeping up with these things makes a real big difference.

Another freezing cold snow predicted day here.
My laundry is piling up since I can't/won't wash linens until I can hang them out on the line.
Did wash all my clothes and have them dry on hangers & the drying rack inside.
I could go into town today but there is nothing I need to get.
So, I will just stay in and keep puttering around.
Maybe I will rehang my two pictures on the walls?
But I am still enjoying the way the walls look with nothing on them except the fresh new paint. ;D LOL

Only did laundry and dishes today. No progress.

Will try to sleep again.

Tillie I'm so happy about your new color.

Hi Joan :)
Thank you ;)
I am happy too that your home is a happier place for you to be than anywhere else.
Plants do add spirit and bring comfort. (((hugs)))

Hi Tatoulia :)
LOL MORRIS :D
If we could mix our temperatures together it would be very pleasant for both of us.
Still below freezing over here.
I take very short quick trips outside to take out trash and get back inside fast as I can! ;D

Hi CriticalMass :)
WAY TO GO! taking time to slowly sift through the piles! :D
Please do check into that transportation service.
When I have been hanging around the hospital in Reno I have seen the service come and go dropping off and picking up people for their appointments.
I'm very glad that they have this service to get around town.

Today I will slowly wash and put back the curtain rods and light switch & outlet covers.
Would like to wash the drapes before I put them back up but it's too cold to hang out any wash.
Now that the place is freshly painted I am feeling motivated to start Spring cleaning in here.
All it will take is washing furniture with Murphy's oil soap and some Pledge.
But not today, I am wiped out from painting and need to rest up first. ;D

Hi everyone, just checking in. Things are still in limbo quite a bit. Got a text from mechanic this Saturday that he was buying a couple of parts for my van. But haven't heard anything since. I don't want to bug him because I'm sure he's inundated with work.

My roommate is over the flu enough that she has helped me with transportation when she can, and a couple I know from church have given me rides there. I've just gone to Mass mostly and not my quilting. And I've tied up other loose ends such as refilling prescriptions, turning in library books, grocery shopping, etc. with roommate's help.

We had a weird thunderstorm that brought freezing rain and sleet in the night, closing schools, etc. My roommate had a meeting and the plan had been that she'd drop me at church today and I would quilt and stay for my holy hour at 3:00. Well, I got there and met the couple who have been giving me rides, and the wife said she'd cover my hour so I went to breakfast with them and then she brought me home. But I felt bad upon learning that my roommate was late to work - if I'd been able to know, I could've just planned to stay home. The impact of my transportation problem on other people is annoying to say the least. :(

In general, to survive so much enforced staying at home without going totally cuckoo, at first I just had to shift into neutral gear and let the days go by. But then I did start making use of the time, and the slow pace has in some ways been spiritually and mentally what I've needed. I've been picking away at some clutter, including stuff that's been sitting for a long time - it's like my mind has slowed down enough that I'm more focused, or maybe I need something very boring!

Spiritually I've been able to quiet my mind and pray better and that brings peace and hope.

I have no idea when I'll have wheels again, but I sure will be tickled pink when I finally do. I just pray that the old crate can be okay then for awhile. Hoping to kick butt with my storage unit come spring and then discern whether to make a goal to try and offload the big van for a different vehicle. Though I don't know if financially I could, and at least I know what has been fixed/replaced on this one.

My friend told me of a transportation service that her autistic niece was able to sign up for; I'm going to check more about this type of thing. I could get a letter from my doctor re my agoraphobia and PTSD that make the bus and similar options a no-go. If I could find some service that I could afford that would pick me up right at home and leave me right at my destinations, then fetch me from same and deliver me home again, that would be helpful. It's something that, as I age with no next of kin, I may need at some point anyway.

Tomorrow would be my clutter club meeting but I'll just have to miss again. December they didn't have it, and I missed last month. But it's no set schedule, just talk and support, people come and go. Hopefully in March I'll be able to make it. I know what to do, namely keep picking away at the clutter, and with this extra time on my hands, I can't make too many excuses, LOL!

Hope this hasn't been too much boring about me - I've skimmed everyone's posts and it's nice to hear what you all are doing - stay well and warm. :)

Captcha is "GILLESPIE ONLY" - boy, those Gillespies are rather stuck up!

Congratulations on finishing the painting, Tillie.

There is a girl I know who has had a hard life. She had cancer and went through many bouts of treatments. She had a cat she loved, Baby Boy. He passed away last September.

Despite having a good marriage, it was her cat who was always there for her when the treatments made her sick. Someone close to her said recently, "When her cat died, she died."

I worry about her, but there is not much I can do. I was too sick, myself, to have living pets. I tried and tried, but I was not well enough to take care of them. I am glad now to have a home. There are some tough plants that survive in here: an ivy, some spider plants, etc. Also outside plants that I love.

I am coming to view what others would see as squalor in my home as signs of life. No-one else would be alive today in my circumstances. It is a much happier place for me to be than anywhere else ever has been on this planet.

I hope you feel better, Tillie. Marty would not want you to be sad.

Hello Everyone ;)

Hi Subclinical :)
Hope your day has been a good one and that the open space anxiety is lessening. (((HUGS)))

Woke up this morning with a headache.
Decided to take the day off.
Took a shower & washed my hair & got dressed.
YEA! ;P
Been bitterly cold since last night and we got some lovely snow.
Today there are icicles hanging from the eaves.
The winds are picking up again this afternoon and this latest storm is not over yet.
We really need the snow, it's how we get our water and not having enough snow is what causes the drought.
We have had hardly any snow this Winter.

Hi all!

Ena, I hope you will stay for support going forward.

Porter, I am impressed with your weight loss. My weight bounced up a little over the weekend, but it is still down from Christmas, so I am trying to hold on to that.

I am doing better this morning and I am going to push myself to go help at the food bank. It was good to see dd last night, but she is currently struggling in her job (it's a really hostile, sexist work environment) and so I am reminded how easy my life is and then I feel even worse that I can't cope. - bad spiral...

I did get everything off the floor and clean the bathroom, but now I am having open space anxiety and worrying that I will lose or forget something important because I can't see it. I will have to spend some time with the new piles relocating them from living space and touching everything this afternoon.

Hi Tatoulia :)
Wonderful that you had a good day with your Brother. :D
Hope you got to spend all today on yourself.

Still have one small section of the living room left to paint.
Had to stop because the winds started to pick up.
They are raging now and blowing so much dirt that visibility is terrible for driving.
But what I got painted this morning was already dry to the touch so I'm OK.
Steven moved the TV for me and was very nice about it.
Supposed to snow and get down to 8 degrees tonight.

Hi SubC. Sending you support and encouragement. And never apologize--focusing on yourself is good and you are helping us by checking in! You are among friends.

I changed out my sheers in the bedroom today and washed the windowsills, which were filthy. I bought the new sheers a while ago as Country Cutains was going out of business and they have the long lengths my windows need.

Beautiful sunny day. We had snow overnight, several inches, but it's 40 F and sunny.

Going to shower and get out for s but.

I'm going to be self centered in the update. Sorry.

I got dressed on my own and did chores and got outside andpruned a bush. The sun is out today and that always helps.

Dh decided I could be left on m6 own for a while and he went to play golf. (When you are living with a person who lies on the floor and sobs and has to be led to the shower and have food put in her hands you need breaks!)

My dd and her husband are coming over tonight. I put on my loud cleaning music and picked up the front stoop and swept it and started a load of laundry and a load of dishes. I'm trying not to push too hard, but I want to put away the clean laundry, start another load, clean the bathroom and pick up all the things on the floor on the first story. I don't have to put everything away, I just want to get it off the floor. If that means hanging things from doorknobs or tossing them on chairs and tables, i'm Ok with that right now.

Dh is going to cook.

I'm a big believer in food is medicine , but which ones and in what amounts?

I also eat prebiotics in my diet. I don't drink really acidic food like soda in a constant manner.
And hot foods are increased in acidity factor as it just pours in hot into the stomach.

I weighed in today for my weight loss forum. I'm 228 lbs
Six years ago I was 320 , I spiked 30lbs after a car accident and go off and on diets over long periods of time.

When I started at the car factory I was 250 , but I wasn't trying at all . In fact I was trying eat to build muscle, which if your building muscle the fat loss is minimal .

So now I'm more obssed with losing weight than on my love krush. If I talk down about myself , the things I'd like to change. I'm 49, fat, bald and missing a front tooth after a fight with mental I'll brother. He was threatening us with an axe. So I disarmed him. Tooth came out 3weeks later . ~Sigh~

Anyhoo.
I can't change 49 or bald easily.
But I can fix my tooth and lose weight. I'm currently losing about 3 lbs a week in an difficult to maintain level of activity.

Severe calorie restriction
Apple cider vinegar with fatty meals
Jump rope in 3minute sets up to 12 times a day.
Working the lifting jobs at work.
Fasting on weekend trying for two 24hour fasts

Monday. 1500 calories salmon
Tuesday 1500 salads nuts and berries
Wednesday. 1500 Steak and vinegar
Thursday 1500 salmon

Friday big salad for lunch 10:30 followed by lifting at work
Saturday 1030 am steak and vinegar
Sunday 6am 2000 calories pancakes and omelet

Monday small pancake and peppers. 6 am
I want to get my weight down , but also have stamina.

I will get back into a relation ship with some lady . I dont like being alone.

So today I'm switching my living room with the dinning room.
It's nit the floor plan but dinning table is enormous and fits better.
I'm also spending about an hour each day upstairs in the three bedrooms Turing them into 1 art and music room,
Efficientcy bed room , and small living tv room with mini fridge tv microwave. .

The basement now holds all my hoard so I don't to go to storages or pay for one . It's included in my rent. But I had to acquire many tables that avoid a flash flood of two teet of water in basement. Oh the horror to my hoard soaking in sewer water it was awful, but I'm now adapted.

I've settled on my creativeoutlet for adobe house, if I ever build it I know exactly what I want. Flying hydroelectricycle
Is in my mind almost always , I'm enjoy the bicycle as is and want to get some good enjoyable uses out it before I start using it as frame, I've decide it the hover craft portion needs to be in a tricycle form with the bicycle above And a third that is the steering , but powered by bicycle not the hover craft.

So I don't need all the foam anymore and I've been taking it out to the dumpster after I throw away everything else I fill it with foam to top off the dumpster.

Ok I want to get back to rearranging my house.
I love you all, checking in with yall is apart of my life so I can say can I love you all .

Good morning!

Tillie I bet the paint looks wonderful. Fingers crossed that you can get some easy, non-nasty help with the tv today. My brother was fun and easy yesterday. It wore me out being with him and I came home and mainly just slept.

Thinking of you, SubC. Thinking of you too, dear Joan. Post when you can.

Ena I am so happy for you! You did great work! Please don't disappear on us--it is so lovely having you here!

Sorry I've been back at work and just a bit stressed and emotional.

The carpet shampooing went really well. I thought it would b harder than it was. It was kinda gross seeing the dirty water but I'm happy I did it.

So I talked to the complex manager on Thursday and he visited my apt on Friday.

I can stay!!!

He said he's okay for me to resign my lease so I don't have to move. He's setting up time in either Tuesday or Wednesday to get the floor/fridge fixed.

I feel sooooo much better!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts!! 😀

Tillie, good work to paint your dining room! Congratulations!

Lately I have been following my routine. Had some deep sessions, so sacking out a lot. Cannot do much externally when the internal changes are so profound as they were in February.

Had yoga class as usual this morning. Watching Dr. Oz yesterday, there is a new way of testing gut bacteria that looks very promising. By analyzing gut bacteria, foods can be prescribed to improve digestive capabilities in the gut, enhancing digestion and possibly strengthening the immune system. There may be a long-term effect on ameliorating some diseases.

Without having any testing, I diagnosed myself as needing more inulin in my diet. Inulin supplements are surprisingly hard to find. I am eating certain foods containing inulin, which seem to be helping. Another diet experiment.

Have a good long weekend, everyone.

Well...
Dining room area is all painted and I LOVE IT!!!
So fresh, bright and cheerful. :D

This morning I mentioned to Steven again that the roof was leaking in the hallway and my room.
Told him about it months ago and he became extremely vicious & nasty then and did the same again this morning.
Then he stormed off, slamming doors, and went to do his usual weekly thrift shop shopping.
When he came back late this afternoon he finally looked at the roof and saw the damaged shingles.
Now he is being extremely nice and polite. :P
Told me his plans to get help from a friend of his who used to do professional roofing.
Unfortunately, this long neglected roof leak has caused some ugly interior damage.
His being so violently nasty to me has caused even more damage.

Anyways...
He is being very nice about having to move the TV for me tomorrow.
Guess I won one. ;)

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Thank you ;)
Wishing you a great and pleasant day!
Fingers are crossed that every one you encounter is having a happy day. (((hugs)))

Just about ready to start painting.
Slept in a bit since Scooter woke me up several times during the night because he was scared by the visiting skunk outside the window.
There is only one thing that I will need help moving and that's in the living room area.
Steven will have to move the large screen TV & it's stand away from the wall.
Then he will have to move it back again after I'm finished painting.
Tomorrow I will try to get him to do that.
Never a pleasant experience trying to get him to help with anything.
Only six pieces of furniture in the living room plus two cat beds.
Dining room area has only three pieces plus two cat beds, I'm not counting the four dining table chairs.
Good thing I am not a furniture hoarder and that the furniture is small and light enough for me to push/drag/pull out of the way. ;D

Everybody have a wonderful weekend!

Tillie I am impressed with your painting skills! That must be very satisfying! I'm looking forward to hearing how you like your room once it's finished!

I woke up today grateful for the long weekend but then remembered it'll probably be tough on you Tillie. Well, I'll be here if you need me!

Going to go see brother in a bit. I stopped by to see mom last night--had gone for dinner with a friend from work and we went over to drop off a few groceries for mom. I'll do the rest of her groceries today or tmr.

Well I have to go see brother soon. Fingers crossed.

Hello
hope you are all well and doing fine.
Anything fun planned for the weekend?

Got the laundry all washed, dried, folded and put away.
Got the kitchen all cleaned up and tidy again.
Was good to take a rest today. Watched some Netflix stuff.
Repotted the philodendron because the macramé holder/hanger had a major malfunction.
Looking forward to painting the dining room area tomorrow. :)

Good Morning Everybody :)

Have the first load of laundry in the washing machine.
Drinking my tea "clink!" and making my plans for cleaning the kitchen.
Really want to paint but know that I really need to take a day off from painting and all the moving of stuff around.
Like furniture and the ladder.
Getting old sucks.
I used to be able to paint the whole area in two days. One day for the ceiling and one day for the walls.
But at least I can still do this, just takes me a little bit longer. ;D

Hello everyone :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Hope you had a lovely Valentines day today.
WAY TO GO! for doing dishes and laundry!
I think all cats are little vomit machines.
First thing every morning I have to check everywhere to find it before I step in it. LOL ;P

Tomorrow I really must do dishes and laundry.
With the ceiling painting I have fallen behind on regular maintenance.
After cleaning up from painting today I went into town and bought the paint for the walls.
Honestly, my entire spine is screaming and having spasms.
But the ceiling looks fantastic!
Will recuperate tomorrow and do some housework and will probably start painting walls Saturday.
But I did paint some little splotches of paint on several walls just to see it and it is everything I was hoping it would be. :D

Happy Valentine's Day! Joan that's so sweet thatvyou received a valentine! Great work, Tillie--both in your work-work and in knowing when to stop! SubC thank you for such a gentle description of that poor little goat. That will stay with me for a while.

Bitsy, Diane, Dianne, Roxy, LR- I think of you often and pray that you are okay.

Thank you everyone for your kind words of support, means the world to me. I didn't do anything today other than laundry and dishes. No new progress but in my defense, it was an extremely busy day at work.

Celebrating Valentine's Day tmr with my sweetheart as he is working tonight. I did go visit him for a few moments tonight.

I'm ready for bed. Very tired.

Love you all.

Hello Everybody :)

Hi Joan :)
Thanks :D
How sweet that you received little Valentines hearts.

Well...
So glad that I made a hard solid decision that I would only do the dining room ceiling today.
It was all beautifully finished at 12:30pm.
I stopped and ate lunch.
Only 1:00pm now.
After my break I will put all the stuff back into that area and clean up.
Usually I would have said since it's still early in the day keep pushing yourself to continue painting.
Then I would be all tired and sore and rushing and not doing as good a job as I could do.
What a huge difference that ceiling makes!
Light and airy, not dark and cave like any more.
Makes the living room ceiling look even worse now but that will be great motivation for me tomorrow to finish.
Painting ceilings is always the hardest because it's all over your head.
Painting walls is easier because you aren't painting upside down. ;)

Thanks, Tillie. Happy Valentines Day to you, too.

The owner of the yoga stidio where I practice celebrates Valentines Day every year by giving all the yoga students a little present. This year she brought in a basket of pink cookie cutters shaped like hearts in pairs, a big cutter with a smaller one. The pairs were tied together with curly purple ribbons, and attached was a paper wishing us each Happy Valentines Day, with an uplifting quotation on it.

It always makes me feel good.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY :D

Hi Subclinical :)
Besides the milk and cheese making
what do you do with the goats?
Someone here wanted to give me three pygmy goats once but Steven won't let me have goats, sheep, horses, cows, rabbits or fowl mainly because he is afraid of them. HaHaHa
I really wanted the goats because they would eat all the weeds. And they are cute. ;)

My plan for today is to start painting the ceiling!!!
Need to do a little spackling in the living room area but none needed in the dining room area.
So, dining room area will be painted first and by the time I get around to the spackled spots they should be all dry.
Not yet 7:00am here so I will finish my tea and get dressed & all that first. :D

Good Morning :)

Hi Subclinical :)
Chickens and turkeys love their fresh greens ;)
Are your goats finished with the kidding?
Sorry that little boy was not strong enough to make it in the outside world.
Hope you can stay warm and dry and get some good rest. (((hugs)))

Hi Ena :)
WAY TO GO! for using Youtube and learning how to unclog your sink.
Whenever I need to learn something I always check out youtube.
Carpet shampooing is easy as long as the machine is easy to use.
Good luck! :D

7:00am here, I've been up for 2 hours already.
Very cold here last few days and will only get up to 40 degrees today.
Have my list all made out for what I need to paint.
Today I will buy everything except the wall paint.
Want to just concentrate on painting ceilings and prepping the walls before I bring home the wall paint.
I don't want to feel overwhelmed, like I have way too much to accomplish, pressured to hurry up & get it done.
Breaking down a big project into bite sized pieces helps keep me optimistic that "I CAN do this!"
Besides, I am at least TEN years older than I was the last time I painted these areas. ;P

I am reading and cheering, but I am very tired.

Baby goat count is up to 7 -3 girls, 4 boys. Plus I lost one, no idea why, sometimes that just happens. He curled up next to his mom and faded out. It was a boy, and plain colored, which does make it a little easier since he would have been one of the hardest to find a home for.

Yesterday I brought home a bag of apples (some of them were rotting so the chickens got those and I washed the good ones) and a big box of Romain lettuce that needs about half the outer leaves stripped off. This week's meal theme will be "romain lettuce" but most of it will go to th3 chickens.

I've been doing some deep cleaning while I still have some time. I've never shampooed a carpet before but there's a first time for everything.

Oh! I looked it up on YouTube but yesterday I unclogged my kitchen sink by myself. I know it's a small thing but it felt really good.

Sorry to hear about your van fingers crossed it works out okay. But yay about getting paperwork done. That's always a hurdle but you got this!

Joan

Trying to stay healthy is a big challenge. I totally get what ur going through. I'm a big procrastinator and would just put it off, oh well I'll just start trying to b healthy after this next holiday or event. But there is always another on after that. Last year I hit a point where I just couldn't put it off any longer. Good for you for the extra yoga that's a step in the right direction.

Tatoulia

It sounds like you have a really good routine with keeping in top of cleaning and organizing. And on top of helping your mother and brother. That's really impressive! Taking care of family can take a lot of time and can interrupt taking care of yourself. But you seem to b on top if it.
Is it like a mental list? Or do you keep a chart of things and check them off as you go? I'm trying to figure out how to keep up with everything moving forward.

Tillie

Yay for the progress you made with your painting project!!!

Tatoulia
you are doing a really great job.
Honestly, with working and taking care of your Mother and Brother.
You are always making progress in the right direction.
Since you first came here you have let go of so much stuff.
That was not easy to do. (((HUGS)))
You have developed maintenance routines that help keep you on track.
Even when you've been sick you still didn't quit.
You will get to a point where your home is completed.
A home that makes you feel good about every little nook and cranny. ;D

I'm glad you got the paperwork done, CM. I know how many obstacles there are when it comes to paperwork and I'm proud of you.
I vacuumed my bedroom and the rug under my desk. Garbage out/recycling out. Put clean sheets on mom's bed. I'm going to set up the coffee maker before going to bed.

I need to put the vacuum away.

I'm trying to get there. I'm trying to have an acceptable house again.

Hi CriticalMass :)
WAY TO GO!!! for getting the student loan form done!
Yes, that should help with the gloominess. (((HUGS)))
Something to look forward to in your future. :D

Thank you Tatoulia :D
I appreciate and value your input.

Got a lot of the prep work done in the dining room area this morning.
A little spackling and sanding will be done tomorrow when I return from the stores.
Having a wonderful time and also taking my time.
No need to rush, I truly enjoy the task of painting.
Very anxious to see the walls all painted, fresh and clean. ;D

Still no van, but friend took me to library so I could get student loan form done online and use their laser printer to print out the verification. That has been looming over my head and getting it done should help me feel less blah.

Captcha is "Venus Grunewald" - maybe she will be a character in my science fiction, LOL!

Tillie! I forgot to mention--I too looked up your color and it is wonderful! Cheerful and bright! Had a neighbor as a child whose dining room was that color--we thought her so exotic! Lovely, lovely choice.
