Yesterday I managed to bathe, shampoo and get clean clothes on. Yeah me. Then I went off to the doctor. I was happy that I had found the name of the gel I'd previously had prescribed for my skin condition so he could prescribe it for me.
I told him no one had ever officially said to me that I have COPD. He looked at me and said "You have COPD." So there it is. He also told me I could go to the Health Department and get some sort of form that would allow me to get six free weeks of the nicotine patch when I'm ready to quit. I will do that. I could also save a lot of money if I didn't smoke. I won't commit yet to a date but it is in the foreseeable future.
They also did a nerve conduction test on my left hand and I'll get results soon. He thought my left hand condition might be carpel tunnel. I couldn't imagine from where, then he asked me my sleep position. I sleep on my side and, yes, sometimes I wake up with a numb arm. Hmmm.
I didn't get much else done but basic self-care.

Dave,
Laura hasn't read Kipling or Burgess. I can see a whole new book collection building now. :) Thanks for heads up on Content Advisory for Jack. He would not be a happy camper hearing how a fellow brother had difficulty with Granny Fox. Especially since her grandson Mr. Fox visits here almost nightly and taunts Jack by coming up to the house for his supplementary meals. :)
Dobie shopping behavior? For real? Unfamiliar with it. But I have heard some referred to as *velcro babies*. Kills me how big, tough, protection dogs can be such softies when relaxed.

Dianne, Have you heard of a doberman behavior called shopping?
Dave
Posted: 11 March 2014 - 03:15 PM
Dianne, Spiderwebbing from another line of thought. Has Laura read Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories and Thornton Burgess' nature stories? I can't remember exactly when I read those, but I think it was somewhere around the age you have mentioned.
Lifelong friends. I see Chatterer and Sammy Jay every day. And Jolly Round Red Mr Sun rising slowly in the east is still there.
Content Advisory-Jack could be a bit distressed with some of the Thornton Burgess stories. I think Bowser the Hound did not have good press in the forest and also came out on the wrong end of some encounters with Granny Fox.

Good morning :) Got a lot done yesterday. Cleaned the house and vacuumed the coils under the fridge, washed the cat's litter boxes and even washed the shower curtain. Today I have to sweep up all the kitty litter they have thrown around, pick up kibble they have strewn around by the bowl and clean up two hair balls off the carpet. Also need to try to brush off all their loose fur to get this shedding under control. Already have two loads of laundry hanging out on the line. Really want to get out in the yard and do some raking & stuff but there is a very cold wind blowing and it is the kind of day that makes your nose run and fingers hurt from the cold. Maybe tomorrow. :) Planning to spend some time reading today and then do some sewing. So, what are you all up to? :D

Yesterday I got a lot of spring cleanup done in the yard ~ raking debris from bedded areas and under trees. I was very proud to not pick up and save lots of beautiful big pine cones and tiny pines cones from the hemlock trees. That was really hard. The landscaping guys cleared downed heavy branches and hauled away some old fencing.
Today the temps will be in the upper 60's so more outdoor work, edging beds and maybe spreading some mulch. My muscles tell me the going will be slower today. Still it feels wonderful. :)

I woke up too early also, so can relate. I started cleaning kitchen, amazing how dirty it was, doesn't seem that long ago that I cleaned it well. Spent several hours cleaning counters, microwave, stove, a few cup boards. threw away expired canned food and vitamins that were in cupboard. Cleaned off stuff that had gathered on counters. Once again, without maintenance it takes way to long to clean. I did not stop until I completed tasks. I did stop for tea etc. but did stay focused with much effort to stay focused. My reward was to work on deck area. I cleaned out more dead plants from planters. Not sure what else I did but have been busy all day, and happy about it. Rained all morning and on and off this afternoon. Helps me stay inside and clean when raining. Also knowing friend will be coming over, made me really want to accomplish some things. After I cleaned counters etc., decided to put my little primrose in a bigger planter, raining outside so did on counter, well you guessed it, dirt flipped all over counter, so got to clean again. Thanks for posting so I can keep up with what you are doing and how you are feeling. I know what you are saying tillie, this group lets us connect without the pressure of in person friends. I appreciate you all so much.

Good morning :)
Wish the cats had some way for me to adjust their clocks. So dark outside at this hour. Planning to clean the house this morning. Need to brush some cats too, it is hair ball season. It is so good to read about all your daily doings and thoughts. Here in my real life I don't get this kind of interaction with any humans, just my cats and the animals that come through my yard. You all make me feel hopeful and happy. :D Be careful this week. People have more accidents while adjusting to the time change.

Today I thought of Mare, who used to post here, and wondered how she is.
Dave, I am grateful you are in remission, too. You bring such humor here that I appreciate.
Dianne, know what you and Diane mean about longer sunlight hours. Yes! Of course it takes a little longer for my cats to adjust to meal time, and waking me up.
I don't think I got much done yesterday. I'm not even sure I can remember doing anything. Guess it's okay to have down days, too. I know tomorrow I go back for a checkup at the doctor's office, so I'll mention the numb fingers and sore thumb, etc. Whenever I have an appointment somewhere it feels like a burden somehow. Weird. Performance pressure? :)

Thanks Dianne and Roxie for reminding me how good it is that I can figure out how to do things "good enough" to make it work. I agree with the happiness longer, sunnier days bring, it is like a new start with longer days. Today I was outside most of the day, except when it was raining. was happy most of the day. Did dishes this morning while watching a minister on tv, just by chance. He was talking about reaching out to people even if you feel you have nothing to off. I called a friend that has been sick, it was so great. In chat I was reminded you can not organize a hoard.

Roxie,
Comes from something SusanL said. She was being grateful for a family member having another birthday after an incident with cancer some time ago. And I had commented about not just a birthday but every day and maybe I should be posting as a reminder to me.
Yes, I had prostate cancer several years ago. I think it likely that I am still alive at this point because of modern medicine.
The point of all those posts was not to try to anger SusanL or to make anyone feel sorry for me. It is an effort on my part to restore a way of thinking that I have lost, that, even in the face of some undesirable surgical side effects, each day of my life is a gift, coming from the knowledge and skills of a lot of different people.

Hey Roxie, big smile about the clocks. If the computer and my cell didn't self-adjust I'd be guessing too. Ridiculously happy here about the time change. I know it's the amount of sunlight that makes these days better but just the idea of looking at the sky at 7:00 p.m. and seeing light makes me happy! Roxie, I finally discovered Pharrell's *Happy* song too, what a great energizer!!
It was Dakota's ashes I picked up not Jack's but thank you for being happy for me. :) I've always buried my babies, this was the first cremation. It cost about the same as it would have to dig a big enough grave. Thanks to the loving care of all the people involved it was a comforting experience.
Diane, I second everything Roxie said.
Karl thanks for Krispy Kreme reminder.
After maintaining today I have a potty pad box of papers to go thru. One hour limit. Then 30 minute limit on going thru shoes and purses for donations. I'd like to finish but I know I'll start to drag and then the churning starts. My timer is a great little reminder to push thru and then stop before burn-out sets in. Like a person helping me without the judgment. :)

Good morning, all. I trust my clocks have reset themselves, otherwise I don't know what time it is. :)
Jennifer, welcome. I was thinking maybe Cory would be wiling to set up a place where folks could post before and after pictures. I would not mind sharing a few of mine, then other folks could, too. I think it is inspirational. Good going on getting things ready so you can have workers come in!
Diane, I think you have no idea how clever and talented you are. You take so much for granted that you actually do, like "I installed brackets." That would be a big chore maybe requiring online research for me. lol
Dave, in gratitudes you keep mentioning cancer. Are you in remission or something? Hope you are okay. Hi to Mrs. Dave.
Karl, at least that bicycle ride will burn off an Krispy Kreme. hehe
Dianne, I'm glad you were able to handle picking up Jack's ashes, and that you could afford to have that done. I've had to give up getting ashes returned because with the rescue and my own big number of cats (previously) I just could not afford to keep doing it. I hope they all forgive me and come to me when I cross the rainbow bridge.
I didn't listen to radio yesterday so I only got a little done. I did a full load of dishes (by hand) and swept some of the kitchen floor on the side that is not done yet. I hope to at least sweep the rest, if not actually mop some or all of it today. I am very happy each time I see the clean side of the floor.

Today I am getting my pipes and water heater fixed!! And because they have to come inside to do it, to save myself the embarrassment of them seeing my hallway and bedroom (where the water heater is kept) the way it was, I cleaned it up! Step one-three done and in progress on my list and it feels nice! I still have a lot to do but it's something.

Krispy Kreme is offering a free glazed donut on Sunday; perhaps I'll make that a bicycling destination for tomorrow. (4.2 miles, 22 minutes, according to Google Maps.)
Today's plan -- take some stuff to the storage unit. Probably do some sorting while I'm there. Maybe do some sorting at home too.

Good morning :) Been up since 5:00am. Playing with the cats and getting lots of kitty kisses this morning. :D Yesterday I removed the plastic from the windows. It is noticibly colder in here & usually I wait till April before doing that but I just had to let all the unfiltered light in. Felt like I was smothering. Apricot tree is all in bloom now and that attracts a large flock of tiny green finches who, for some reason, pluck off all the blooms. Other birds do that too but they don't arrive here in large flocks to do it. Twinkles, a very large orange & white long hair boy cat has been taking his afternoon naps in the middle of the blooming Daffodil patch. He looks so pretty there. :D Next storm system is due here by Sunday night. Planning to rake the lawn and do some other yard stuff before that storm gets here.
Well I have the photos taken of my place, so now the work begins. I'm trying to figure out exactly where to start. I was going to do the cat room but it's really late and I dont want to take on such a big project this late. Maybe I will just do the litter boxes in there and out here tonight, and start the rest tomorrow when I have all day.

I did some errands by bicycle, then talked to a friend who's been trying to help me out. He (correctly) notes that I should have a backup plan in case Landlady Anna doesn't come through. He knows someone who's expressed some willingness to rent, but only to "a dog person" (specifically, someone who would enjoy the presence of her dogs, not just tolerate them). I don't think I can qualify there -- I really need pet-free space most of the time.

Sunny all day and no wind, so amazing, it seemed as if I was on a sunny vacation. Used my dremel scraping paint off deck railing. Took more of the screening off. I have it screened off to hide from the world. I tried to leave it off, and experience being in the open, and change my mind, stop thinking people are paying attention to me and my hoard, instead thought, openess allows people to see I am home and visit. Was comfortable for a short time, then had to put some of it back up. I feel like opening up the deck is a step I want to take to change my behavior, just need to do it in baby steps. My walls of stuff has been with me for so long, will take small steps to get rid of all excess stuff and all walls I have put up outside too. Has anyone else put up privacy screens up everywhere outside? It is kind silly as I write this, doesn't really make me safe, makes neighbors think I an a nutty old lady

I have been encouraged by Dave to write here about my plans for today. I am going to write a case analysis for the film "The Informant!" for my legal and social environment of business class (which I am about finished with, I am taking a short break at the moment to come here) and then I am going to begin to take photos of my home. Should I post some here to show my progress? I think that may keep me motivated...however I am not sure if it's appropriate for the other people posting here or not? I won't post them if anyone is uncomfortable with that, but I personally am ok with it. I don't want to hide this stuff any more. After I take the photos I am going to start to pick things up, bag them, and take them down to the dumpster. I would like to get my "cat room" cleaned so I can put half the cats in that room (for now) so I can air out the rest of the house tonight without worrying about the cats jumping through the windows to get outside (they are not allowed outside). I think that should be enough for tonight.

Good morning :) Today is all clear skies, sunshine and no winds. Yesterday the wind raged here. I need to buy some sun screen, my old stuff is all gone and this weekend I am planning to work out in the yard. Planning to rake the lawn and do some pruning. Also like to get the litter boxes out there, scrub, scour & sanitize them and then let them air dry out in the fresh air & sunshine. For today my plan is to do a little bit of this and that, here & there around the house. Then go outside with all the cats since it should warm up all the way to 60 degrees today. :D T.G.I.F. Have a GREAT Friday everybody!!! :D

Dianne and Roxie, I am impressed at how much you get done daily recently. Today I worked on the deck, took some sun shade fabric down that was pretty tired. I found the railing under it was wobbly so put braces on it. It rained on and off all day, mostly dry though. winds were 50mph, so was fun trying to work and have things blowing around. I put all the old stuff in the garbage can, to be picked up in am. Last week I went out at midnight to put trash out, so today I put it out as soon as I cleaned up stuff. Still had a little room in garbage that I was sure I could fill, then remembered posts on here about running after the garbage truck, I have done that, and missing putting garbage out, have done that too. Realized, if I gathered more stuff to toss, could walk out to garbage and put it in, not that far to street (unless shoveling snow) Tomorrow is forcasted to be sunny, sure hope they are right about sunshine, I need some sun. Sure nice to have healthy soup ready to eat when I come inside and am hungry. Thanks Tillie for encouraging me to eat better, does make a difference.

Two hours of bicycling today, with the primary goal being to take Landlady Anna the check. She was home, and she was surprised by the offer -- she said there was no need for any payment before signing the lease, but I told her to take it anyway. I hope it tips the balance in my favor.
(And I hope her surprise wasn't just a mask for awkwardness due to her having already taken someone else as tenant.)

Dianne, it sounds like you have a good handle on things and a good attitude.
Tillie, I love the descriptions of the wildlife around you. I enjoy any visits from wildlife around here, but don't have as much as you, I think.
I had another radio show to listen to, so I got all the fronts of the lower kitchen cabinets cleaned, and the front of the dishwasher. I swept and mopped half of the kitchen floor. I took my still boxed new kitchen ceiling light to the bedroom to wait until I'm ready to put it up. it, too, has been sitting on the kitchen floor since Christmas. :(
I took another recycle bag out to the car, plus three bags of newspapers to deliver to the vet along with the tests. I did that.
On the way back, I stopped to vacuum the car and take it through the self-wash. That felt good!
I'm pooped but I figure that was a fair day's work.

Karl, as Roxie mentioned, you do seem to do well when working with others ~ either thru the online chat challenges or inviting your gamer friends to join you. Good luck with Landlady Anna's place!
Roxie, what a great idea for Karl to promote his good qualities along with a check to a potential landlady.
To answer your questions to me ~ I just posted about my frame of mind in Gratitude. It feels so good. :)
As far as cleaning, I've gotten things to the point where maintaining takes up most of the day with quite a lot of hoard areas still to tackle. When I was younger I was so rigid about staying in this home. As I get older and see how hard it is for me to handle the idea of downsizing is more acceptable.
I'm sticking to a Daily Project (something small and doable) to try and keep going in the clearing out process. But I did wake up this morning thinking I need to step it up a bit.
In the rooms we use, goat trails are gone or much wider. Although I think Laura and I do a good job of getting out *real trash* a lot of what had slid down to make narrow trails was pretty easily tossed or donated or put where it belongs. Plastic bags (Dave, I'm a huge saver of those too), all kinds of shoes and flip flops, paper stuff including towels and toilet paper and plates, dry goods (grocery or cleaning supplies) that were dropped wherever, clothes, books, etc. I'm somewhat reluctant to mention size when I write now but because I'm cheering myself here, there are 3 staircases that have been kept clear and clean and 4 vehicles I've kept cleaned out every week and in good running condition. My washer is going most of the day.
I've let myself go in the process (eating fast available junk, need to shower more often) and I don't read as much at night because I am more tired. It's hard to keep a balance and keep adding more to progress. But I'm not beating myself up over that. That's a nice thing about getting older (or accepting that I'm getting older); I don't feel like I have to strive so hard for perfection anymore.
And, boy, am I happy about the longer sunlight in the days now!!! There is much still to be done here but like the t-shirts I wear every day proclaim ~ Life Is Good. :)

Good morning :) Scooter is feeling a little better this morning but I will let him sleep in. Cloudy, dark rainy day so I will bake cookies. I have a little Merlin, a small Falcon that's been living here for many years and sucessfully rearing more Falcons. The Falcons are not afraid of me and will perch right outside the diningroom window in the huge juniper/cedar tree. There is plenty here for her to eat, Wrens, Finches, house Sparrows. Falcons hunt during the day, like Hawks do but at night I have Great Horned Owls who don't fly away when they see me but I quickly leave the yard when I see them. They are so HUGE and will look straight through you with their HUGE eyes, letting you know just who is the superior creature. :D

Karl, maybe drop a nice note with the check that says why you would be a good candidate, and a little about yourself (quiet? non-drinker, no drugs, whatever?) would help? I think you get more done on these little on-line challenges.
Dave, that was funny...the vision of you running down the street holding up your pants. lol
Tillie, how about you bake us all something sweet and yummy? I can dream, can't I? No daffodils here yet but I look forward to it. We had a light snow the other day that has now melted away.
Jess, hope you can check in while you are on your visit. Enjoy!
Diane, an hour of picking up junk from the yard would wipe me out, so give yourself credit. And you patched the roof well, so that's good, too. I was thinking of you yesterday when I was on youtube looking at recycled material homes. Quite interesting options out there. I also looked at tiny homes and small homes. Nice.
Dianne, where are you at now both with the cleaning out and your frame of mind? Love to hear from you, as always.
There was something I did a week or so ago that I forgot to mention. I was at a drive-through cigarette place and I suddenly asked the lady if she was a reader. When she said yes, I offered her one of my bags of books that I was going to donate, and she was excited to take them. That was a nice moment.
What my two days of industry seem to have had in common was that instead of sitting at the computer, I was listening to 3 hour broadcasts of a radio show I wanted to hear. Hmmm.
The test kits did not arrive as expected so I have to call about them. They should have been here as early as Tuesday and certainly by Wednesday. So my car is jammed with recycle bags. Guess this gives me time to jam more in there. hehe
I put on clean jeans the other day and couldn't even begin to zip them up. What the? It was only later when I changed out of them that I realized, looking at the label, I'd bought them long ago for a friend. No wonder they didn't fit. ha
Later, gater.

Thanks Dianne. Roxie sounds like you were running on overdrive to get so much done. Daffodil delight tillie thanks for sharing. H ani Dave. Did you make it till Tuesday? Today I did dishes ate soup, put two gates back on deck, upside down so they open out rather than in. I took them off a month ago and got tired of tripping over them. Walked all over property and picked up things that blew in from storm, papers, roof pieces etc. Filled large garbage bag with stuff from garage and yard. Walked in circles for an hour wondering why I start so many things and don't finish, oh, ADHD, be kind to myself and realize I am truly doing the best I can, considering the cards I have been dealt. Friend called today and we had a nice long chat. She suggested I return calls when friends call. Yep, I have stopped returning calls again. She called last week. She is sick and just wanted to talk. Roof patch done yesterday is holding, no leaks during rain today. All is well, wood stove is such nice heat. I was feeling frustrated at how little I got done today, and now am grateful I did do some of the things I planned to do. Helps to come to this site and read what others did and write what I did, to put things into perspective.

Last night during the chat session, we did multiple buddy-system cleanup sessions; I focused on getting my boxes of games better organized and some computer equipment packed up so I can return it to storage. I also wrote down my immediate needs: get some food; visit the storage unit; and get back to Landlady Anna.
I'm thinking that Landlady Susan's place is not what I want, so if Landlady Anna chooses someone else as her tenant, then I'm going to be stuck with no leads at all, basically back to square one. That would be bad. I'm going to try taking her a check, to demonstrate that if she accepts me then I'm ready to commit to the tenancy.

Hey Dave, yes the adjustment has gone very well. Jack is never alone, always with a person or dogs and cats. I'm adjusting too. I had all the dogs running a lot in the yard a few days ago. Everyone got out energy and it was time to go in but since it was so nice out I figured one more loop. When someone strays too far I whistle and call, "Treats, treats!" a fawn colored pug came racing towards me, caught Jack's eye and he whipped around with his mouth open. Everyone was a little over stimulated and any fast movement then, triggered his chase and mouthiness with the others. I had to separate several escalations. A lesson for me ~ just like with my grandkids overstimulation is going to end in not such a good time; know when to quit.
Jess, you're doing great enjoy your niece!
Diane, you would be such a HUGE help volunteering your skills at Habitat for Humanity! Continue to take care of your toes.
Roxie, you never talk too much about yourself! You've been getting so many tasks done great job!
Tillie, I hope Scooter feels better soon. I am so looking forward to hearing your tales of the springtime beauty and all the wildlife in your garden! I picture it in my mind and it makes me smile. :)
Today is a slow day ~ a few errands, dump run, maintenance, babysitting. Paperwork overload. Before I get too overwhelmed in one area I try to break it up with a change of scenery/tasks. It's working well.
Enjoy your day all!

Hi Dave :) No problem :D Since this site is basically unmoderated It is up to all of us to decide on all the rules we will operate under. Majority rules in making these decisions and everyone gets a chance to give their input. :)
Hi Jess :) Stay safe and have a GREAT time. :D
Hi Diane :) So happy you had fun! :D WTG! getting so much done but mostly for taking care of yourself while doing it. :D
Hi Roxie :) We all understand that some times we have to focus on what we need to focus on. Very glad you posted your plans & accomplishments so we can cheer you on. WTG! :D
Sometimes I have so much to think about and do that all I can manage is to say "HI" and let you all know what is going on in my life. :)
I have laundry out drying on the line. By this afternoon the next storm will be blowing in. Read Stephen King's "Doctor Sleep", took me two days. Have borrowed "11/22/63" to read next. :D Planning to sew today after I do my usual daily tasks. Scooter is feeling poorly today. :( Hoping he feels better soon.
My apricot tree is blooming today and there are 5 daffodil blooms now. :D

to get it to the street in daylight
Roxie, I had to smile when I read that.
Mrs Dave looks askance at me when I say on Sun eve or Mon am that trash day is almost here, I have to work on that. (The trash truck comes on Wed.) While not working and having the time, I need to scurry around on Monday filling the cart and then put it out on Tues afternoon so it is out in time for when the driver MIGHT be here on Wednesday morning.
That became a good idea after an event last summer. I heard the truck picking up trash so hunted up shoes and went dashing out the door. Running down the street with trash cart in tow and my pants about to fall off, trying to catch the truck before it finished its last stop on the street. Of course, given divine humor, that was when a neighbor lady was out walking her dog!
Due to snow and ice this week, it may be mostly empty next week.
What a lot of work you are getting done!

I know it is important to acknowledge the posts of others, so please accept my apologies in advance for pretty much talking about myself again. I am very much enjoying your posts and vicariously there with you. Please know that.
I took three expired milk bottles out of the fridge and rinsed them for recycling after emptying them (pee-oo). I took the big gift bag that contains my new "chain saw" into the bedroom to store it until used, then broke down the big cardboard box it came in. It's all been sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor since Christmas.
Broke down a non-recycle box to flatten it for the garbage, rounded up more garbage, and took the whole shebang to the street for pickup. I missed last week so I was happy. The key seems to be, for me, to get it to the street in daylight rather than wait thinking I will have more stuff for it.
I went to the grocery store and put everything away. Then I took 4 large bags of recycle things to the car so they can go to the recycle center. I have a few more bags of things to go yet, but today the testing kits I ordered for the cat shelter should be in and I can recycle and deliver the testing kits at the same time.
Blessed day, everyone.

Tillie I smiled when I read your post that daffodils opened. I could visualize their smiling little faces. I found 12 books to get rid of so far. Sun came out, was only supposed to be out for 2 hours so I was out in it, then it was sunny all day, so I stayed out and worked in the sun, I was a happy worker. Supposedly heavy rain tomorrow. I came in several times to make sure toes were warm enough. Drank plenty of water. Patched new roof leak, will find out tomorrow if it worked. I used my dremel oscillating tool to remove the build up, so much faster that scraping it by hand. was so much fun, scraped some other areas with dremel. when I was on roof, realized I am happiest when I am busy outside. Even thought of volunteering at habitat for humanity so I could help as well as learn how to build things correctly. Have to start a fire just wanted to connect to the group, and read your adventures for today.

Day 13 -
Already finished my shift at work. I'm packing for a trip to stay with my brother and sister in law. I get to watch my baby niece for them for a couple weeks so I'm pretty excited about that!
Since I'll be away I made sure to tidy up as much as possible. I'm pretty anxious, as I always am with travel. It's very uncomfortable to be out of my element and staying somewhere that isn't home. My plan is to try to stay calm and talk myself through my OCD moments and focus on family.
Sorry if I'm a bit checked out through all this. Before I leave today I'm touring a potential new house with my husband. Lots of stuff going on that makes my brain twirl so I'm trying to focus.

Dianne, It sounds like things that you did to help Jack adjust to his loss of companion have been working fairly well.

Thank you Tillie. Please accept my apologies for lines I have crossed. I will work to see that doesn't happen again.

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY! :D
Hi Dave :) Thank you for posting about all your different storage places. What usually happens when someone gets a POD or other "temporary" storage unit is the stuff is just shuffled around which we call "churning". All those hard decisions as to what should be donated/tossed or kept are not done, That, we call "procrastination". Procrastinating, not doing the actual "work" of making decisions is how people end up with TOO MUCH STUFF. Best to not churn everything into expensive alternative storage, ever, since it usually ends up being years of wasted money.
Another thing, The online chatroom is a very very safe place for people to say anything because what happens in chat, stays in chat. If we were to discuss another chat poster's issues on the messageboard, they may feel violated and not get the help they need. Some people need the security of knowing that when we all log out of chat all the postings are erased forever. :)
Hi Karl :) Sounds like you are making great progress and possibly finding a great work connection too! WAY TO GO! :D
Hi Jess :) Love reading all your daily plans and accomplishments. Keep up the great job! :D
Hi Diane :) Glad to see you paying some attention to your diet. :D Take care of those toes! :( Good luck today filling a bag for donation. (((hugs)))
Drizzled all night and now morning fog. It should burn off soon. Two daffodils are in full bloom and many other buds are getting ready. Grape Hyacinths are fixing to bloom any day now too. Trees, bushes & shrubs are all getting their buds out which is bad news because we will probably have another deep freeze & that will kill them. Oh Well...
Back to reading for a while then maybe I will get up & do something else. Happy Mardigras :D

well the sun smiled on me for an hour or two today, I went up on roof and measured garage roof, and wrote down the measurements. Stopped at Home Depot on the way to dexascan. Looked at different types of roofing, including metal roofing. Heavy rain this week is predicted so won't be working on roof any time soon. Got to appt early and had to wait and wait. It was so hot in there. I got impatient. Was not happy about my impatience today. Realized I had not eaten enough. I went to Costco after appt. and got turkey burger and greek yogurt as well as berries. Cooked the turkey and ate a bunch tonight. Have to make time to eat protein so don't get so irritable. Today I hung up all the wet towels from leaks, put away when dry. Took shower, washed hair. Put all tools away that had landed in different areas. Brought wood up on deck. Tomorrow I will be here all day and plan to cook some good food, clean kitchen. Also would like to fill at least one bag of donations. Was able to throw some things away from garage today. My toes are more painful today, got too cold yesterday, today are red and swollen. I wrapped each one in paper tape and will until skin gets thicker. amazing how frostbite from weeks ago is still painful.
