89 degrees at 9pm :(

Hi Tatoulia
So who won?
Bet that lemonade was wonderful and cold.
Even though it was a painful walk home, I'm glad you drank it.

You are probably sound asleep by now.
That was one busy day you had.

I need to decide on a craft/hobby or some such pastime.
Something to get enthusiastic about to fill my time and improve my disposition.
Could work on beads, lacking inspiration though. Rag rug making was fun but I have plenty of rugs now.
Pencil puzzles and word games are fun but expensive. Found 4 unworked books of them at the thrift shop this last Spring (25cents)but went through them all so fast.
For now, the doll house is perfect, no rearranging/redecorating needed.
Only sewing I care to do any more is mending and alterations as needed.
Don't want a puppy or a dog.
I love to bake or make candy but then I would eat it.
All I ever seem to do any more is talk to animals, bugs and plants, watch the clouds in the sky, the sun, moon and stars.

What a lovely family you have, SubC! A very dear and fun and supportive family. What a fun time you all had together! Also, you are doing great work. I am just so proud of you.

Tillie I'm grateful the sausage didn't squirt on your skin! I didn't eat anything at the game. Too much salt. I did have two lemonades, which made for a painful walk home.

Mom did not want to go to the museum so I took her for a ride then groceries. I came home and napped a bit when BF called to ask if I have sunglasses and a red Sox shirt. Yes and yes.

Did not do much around here this weekend. But I've got to finish the dishes and get ready for new dishwasher.

Goodnight, everyone. That quote is helping me too, about how we were once desperate to be where we are now.

Oh! I did get a bag to goodwill today but didn't get my things here into the car yet. That was a prior bag. I'll take the ice cube trays up tmr.

Tillie our friends at a cat rescue in England sent these to us. We know them thru twitter and Yes, Us refers to the kitty and myself.

Will read everyone's posts later. Someone just gave us tix to the Red Sox/Yankees game and we are off!!!

Well, got the kitchen all cleaned up.
Last night I decided to cook 6 Italian sausages to have for sandwich makings.
They were cooking fine in the pan and I was turning them.
I always pierce them with a fork to allow the grease to escape so they are less greasy.
Stabbed one and it squirted hot grease way out of the pan and all over the stove.
Got all over the burner rings.
Tried wiping up the grease with a paper napkin and it was just too much of a big mess.
So I had my sandwich, said "to heck with it" and left the kitchen as it was.

But now everything has all been properly washed up and the kitchen is squeaky clean.

Good Morning Everyone

Hi Subclinical
Wonderful to hear about your fun visit!

WTG! getting so much swapped out and clearing the people door!!!

Cherry wood is beautiful but too hard for my hands to whittle. ;)

Good luck with your laundry. Hope you can hang some out on the line.

Going to be hot, hot, hot today.
Had the hose on a very slow drip over night on the apricot tree.
Today I'll attach the other long hose and water the other trees.
Think I got the little leaks all patched up in that hose yesterday but I'll mark off any that I may have missed today while I'm watering.

When I water the trees I put the hose on slow and let it water a tree for an hour then go out and move the hose to the next tree.
This way I only have to venture out in the heat for two minutes, not long enough to get hot.

Cooked a little supper last night but did not clean up the kitchen so I'll do that this morning.

Wow Tatoulia!

People were really taking advantage of your generosity and good nature!

Please be careful with the walking and pay attention to your body. I want you to be healthy and get exercise, but I worry about the heat and your fainting/sleepy spell.

Had fun with the dd's And dsil yesterday. Played croquet, made dinner and cookies. Entertained the dog, who had so much fun she couldn't go home until she had had a bath. Dsil cut some sections of cherry log from the woods. He's taking them home to dry for some carving projects.

When he came out of the woods with a log on his shoulder and an axe in one hand, he looked absolutely amazing. Dd2 and I called his wife - come look! You're missing it! Later when he was washing a wiggling, truly disgusting dog in my yard, dd1 said "look guys! I didn't marry him for the log. I married him for this." He's a good one.

They took the crates.

Also, I still didn't do any clay work. I ended up sorting through a big pile of things from school and from dh uncle. I got it all sorted out and Dd and dsil took away a broken bin and some plaster bats that are no longer in good enough condition to use. Dd has access to a dumpster this week. They brought me a not broken bin and two more large containers of glaze.

The area around the people door to the studio barn is now clear, and dh told me he appreciates it.

Today I have to do a lot of laundry.

19 devices on your account!!!
So glad you discovered that and took care of it!

Only thing I pay for is Netflix.
But there is so much free stuff to watch I don't mind waiting to see the latest.

Have a beautifully refreshing shower after all that.

Make sure you are drinking enough and keeping yourself properly balanced with vitamins and minerals.
Sweating profusely takes a lot out of you.

Challenge accepted. I need nothing other than food, household items and kitty food and litter. Thank you. I need to stop buying clothes and I need to stop eating out.

Walking is a good thing for me. I need to walk it off. All urges to do stupid harmful stuff.

Thank you Tillie. I am out walking now and not to be gross, but I'm sweating up a storm. I did not take mom to museum today. After making my returns I just wanted to relax. And now I'm walking. Bf is working. I did see him for a minute but now I'm in the mall and I'm literally dripping with sweat. I'll do one more go round then home to the shower.

It was a beautiful summer day today. It's now a beautiful summer night.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I found out that 19 different devices were on my Hulu account. I've kicked them all off. They had signed me up for an expensive add on. Twice. So I've changed the password and kicked everyone off.

Hi Tatoulia
I am challenging you to not buy anything except necessities until the end of August.

YEA! for taking back returns!

You have all the clothes you need right now.
Maybe this Winter you will need a few warmer things and can buy them then.

We need to find you a different pastime.
A new positive, healthy and free type of addiction/obsession/hobby.

Maybe you could volunteer to spend time comforting homeless bunnies. ;D

The nice thing about a baggie of ice cubes is it takes up less room than a store bought bag and costs nothing.

The barn sounds lovely, SubC! Absolutely lovely! And I will recycle the ice bags. THANK YOU for the tip. I will follow it. M

I will also start making my own and putting in a ziploc. I like that idea a lot, Tillie.

Great to patch the hose! I have some areas on my screens that need patching.

Getting ready to shower and head out. Returns. I've been over buying and need to correct myself.

I have more clothes now than Ive ever had and every piece fits and I wear them. I have casual clothes and work clothes. Still not a lot by other people's standards but a lot by mine. Plenty. Need no more.

Will check in later. BF called to say it's beautiful today but he's not sure if it's going to get hot. So I'll shower and find out!

Good Morning Everyone

Hi CriticalMass
Have fun today working for the bunnies :)

Hi Tatoulia
I worry too about lowering the fridge temp when I put warm stuff in there.

Sure do hope your Mom gets to see that exhibit.
If so, you two take care not to over-do it.

Hi Subclinical
Your studio barn sounds so wonderful!
Does it have plenty of natural light?

WAY TO GO! Giving the barn another go this morning!

Have a wonderful day today.

Will start on the laundry in a minute.
Have two loads worth to do. Changed out my sheets & pillow cases the other night but didn't do laundry because it kinda sorta might rain.

The long hose I use to water the trees has sprung a few small leaks from dragging it all around from tree to tree.
I need to mark where the holes are and let it dry out then try to patch it.
That hose is over ten years old and I'm surprised it has lasted this long.

SubC shudders at the thought of buying ice, and not with cold. But if you must buy ice, please know that the plastic bag can be returned to the store where they take plastic grocery bags for recycling.

I am very happy that you have made your doctor proud!

CM, good luck to you and all the bunnies!

I gave my barn a last "best I can do" this morning. Dh said "wow! I had given up!" (He helped me move a heavy thing) He even resisted his usual "now let's finish it off" approach that tends to come out just when I have made so much progress that A - I am starting to feel happy, and B - I am too tired to do any more.

Dh and dd2 are working on her car in the studio barn. (Layout = big square, 2 stories. Left side 1/4 work shop. left side back corner built off into a one story bathroom with ladder accessible storage on top. Back wall after bathroom, space, then pottery studio under loft with stairs, right wall pottery shelves all the way to open area for kiln and then entry area with people sized door at front. Center shifted to right because of work shop = garage for car/truck/ tractor parking and auto repair)

As soon as I finish my cantaloupe i'm going out to do join them and do clay work.

Hello CM! Great that you and the other bunny club are doing something jointly!

Tillie I only use ice for iced tea. I have a few of those blue frozen things, which I keep in the freezer but move to the fridge when I'm adding a lot of room temperature things. So if I've cooked or bought things at the grocery store, I tend to move a cold pack to the fridge. In my mind, it keeps my milk at the right temperature. I actually like the bags of ice I buy but then I think about SubC and I wonder about it.

I have errands to run today. Just put in a laundry and I'll do a delicates load while the towels dry. I want to get some walking in and if energy permits, I know that my mother wants to see the Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit before it leaves. It will be crowded but I'm happy to do it. It is a very exciting exhibit.

Hi Everyone

Hi CriticalMass
Thank you (((HUG)))

Glad your roommate's busy week is over.

Fingers are crossed that your bunny club adoptions will join up with the other bunny club and there won't be so many needy bunnies any longer! :D

Hi Tatoulia
YEA! for cherries!

WAY TO GO! for a great doctor visit.
We are proud of you too.

There are a lot of stupid ice cube trays out there.
Too shallow, not deep enough to keep from spilling and worst of all are the ones that are impossible to get the ice cubes out of.
WTG! donating them so someone else can be frustrated by them. HaHaHa ;P

I finally found some trays that I like.
They are easy to get the cubes out of and don't spill all over.
Problem was is that they came in a set of three trays and I only need one.
So I donated the other two.
I make ice, put it in a baggie them make more ice until the baggie is full enough.
I don't use much ice in Summer and never in Winter.
But we always need some ice for compresses for wounds, bruises or fever.

I was told on another message board that a bag of frozen popcorn kernels works better than frozen peas as a cold compress.
They said it stays cold longer.

We had a sprinkling of rain this afternoon.
It was overcast all day.
Tomorrow the hot sunny weather is supposed to be back.
Will do laundry.

I'm here

Roommate's busy week is finally behind her. I prayed about it a lot and hopefully others did. It was taxing on her but could've been worse.

Tomorrow I go help the bunny club - another more established local rescue has a place in a mall, and they're having an adoption event and invited us to bring some bunnies. This hopefully will mark the beginning of a fruitful association and bring us some networking opportunities.

Tillie, I hope you are holding up okay. What a week for you and the family of that little guy and everyone close to them and the neighborhood. Glad you are doing the smart thing and conserving your energy as needed.

I love thinking about you and your boy, saving the borax tips, Tillie.

So proud of everyone's accomplishments! Yes I'll enjoy some cherries, too, Tillie.

Excellent work, SubC! Swapping out the scrapbook! Well done!

I have never liked the ice cube trays and bin that came with my groceries, and most of the time I buy ice. The trays are ridiculous. Too shallow, water spills everywhere, a lot of work for little ice. So I've washed them and put in donation bag.

I am doing pretty well, health-wise. Dr told me he's proud of me today!

WOOHOO! that Styrofoam cooler is GONE!

Sorry you are too tired to do more fun activities.
Rest up and relax & have fun with your Dds.

So, now I am tired.

The barn is ok. I finished filling the grocery bag and I filled a large chip bag with trash. I heaped the box up tall and I already burned it.

I took a shower. And a milk customer came by and I managed to gift her my friend's abandoned styrofoam cooler.

Now I could start doing some of the things I actually planned to do today, but I am tired.

Hi Subclinical
WAY TO GO! for doing that clean up in the barn!

Keep chipping away at things and know that every little bit done will all add up and you will get to your goal (((HUG)))

That is a BIG step!
Removing that scrapbook and replacing it with the yearbooks.

Those plastic milk crates are wonderful for areas that may get flooding.
I use some in the pumphouse.
The bottom ones are empty and I put gardening supplies in a crate placed on top for Justin Case the floor gets wet.

Have a wonderful time with your Dd's ;D

Wanted to post that TUBI has put up some more episodes of HOARDERS today.

Tatoulia, thank you. I was just sitting here reflecting that I have a 4h kid coming out tomorrow, and I used to be proud of my barn, and now it is embarrassing. I spent an hour working in it instead of doing pottery (filled half a grocery bag with garbage and a small box to burn, flattened three cardboard boxes and laid them in the garden) and it is still embarrassing.

Then I read tillie's post and went to your pictures...

I won't quit.

Tillie, no, I haven't gotten to the playing yet. Just the unpacking. Maybe this evening.

When I went to put the yearbooks on the shelf there wasn't enough room. So I pulled out a fat newsprint "scrapbook" filled with random art and school assignments from when I was really small, and I looked through it one more time and put it in the recycling without hesitation.

That's a step!

My dd2 is coming to stay tonight and dd1 is coming over tomorrow. I found a plastic milk crate in the barn dd1 can take with her (her garage floods and they keep things up on milk crates.)

Hi Subclinical
Have you started playing with your drum carder yet?
Since you work with fiber that was a great investment.

WTG! for rehoming 13 of those molds!!!

Having a personal library of yearbooks seems very reasonable and highly sentimental.
YEA! for passing on the Tshirts!

Hi Tatoulia
Really love that latest photo you posted (((HUG)))

It's very cloudy, cool and dark this morning.
Slightly breezy but no rain, yet.
A tiny blessing for those attending the funeral this morning.

I have some laundry I could do but will hold off since we may get rain later today.
Poured a little bleach down the kitchen sink drain last night. Kitchen smells very sanitary this morning.
No real plans as to what I'll be doing today.
Bought some cherries at the store, will eat them today.

I was so tired last night I forgot some other things.

School was clearing out back copies of old year books. I took one from each year (10 years) plus extra copies for my two younger kids from years that they attended. That isn't as bad as it sounds, because the yearbooks are thin like magazines with heavy cardstock covers. I did not take any free t-shirts from old years, because there were none in my class size in my favorite colors.

I threw some things from my classroom into the trash can.

Tillie, i'm glad you saved the bunny. Sounds like you had a productive day.

Tatoulia, I hope you made it to work ok.

I had a good class this morning and gave away 13 of the 16 molds I took. I think I will throw out one of the remaining ones, but the other two will go back in my studio for a while.

The reuse store took my donations. I bought a fist full of "new" paintbrushes, letter molds, three rubber stamps, and a texture board for my class, and also got some free thinner than magazines cross stitch books. I brought the cross stitch books home to look through. I will be doing cross stitch with my fiber arts class, but I will probably keep the books as my own. They are almost all simple miniatures, which is good for a first project.

I didn't swim because I worked in my classroom for while and then dh called me and asked me to meet him for dinner.

I ordered myself a drum carder as a "reward" for all my hard work. It will make processing my fiber faster, easier, and more fun. It arrived today, but I am too tired to unpack it. Tomorrow.

Tomorrow is another day.

Good Morning Everybody

Hi CriticalMass

Hi & bye Tatoulia
Have a good day at work :)

Hi Subclinical
Good plan taking the molds to the workshop.

Have fun at the reuse store.

Hope you get to swim. Moving in the water is a good way to work out sore muscles from overworking.

Just a few minutes ago I was sitting here and heard a squeal from my garden.
Jumped up and saw Jack with a tiny baby cottontail bunny in his mouth.
I started saying "NO!!!" and he went around to the back porch where he set the bunny down.
He had been holding it by the ears.
I snatched it up, it was unharmed.
Was debating where to release it and Jack kept following me around.
Chased him away so he wouldn't see me release the baby bunny in the side yard where there are piles of branches to hide in.
Bunny happily bounced away.

Was so nice holding that soft warm cuddly bunny.

Only real plan today is to water some things this evening.
Should run the vacuum, wash a few dishes, etc.

Today is a going places day.

I have a teacher workshop this morning. - I am taking some of those plaster molds with me to try to give away to other teachers. Then I drop things at the reuse store (I will probably shop. It is impossible to resist the reuse store, but I will be careful in my buying. - I try to keep you guys in my pocket like jiminy cricket.) then I take things to my classroom and set up a bit for next year, then maybe I swim.

Hi Tatoulia

You find some of the most interesting sandwiches.
I love sandwiches.

YEA!!! for a super clean bed!
Borax is a great product and has so many different uses.
I have used it before to scrub terribly dirty walls before painting.
When I had a small child I used it all the time for laundry and other uses.
Back in the 1070s they had a promotion where you send in some box tops and they sent you a kit to assemble a 20 mule team.
It was not small and had quality parts like wood for the wagon.
The mules came already assembled.

Interesting...
Swedish sponge, I'll have to investigate that.
I think I wash cat dishes maybe 40 times a day.
Soon as the bowls are washed someone is nagging me for some canned food.
With Twinkle's mouth issues right now I feed him the soft canned food because he will eat more and not keep losing weight.

Been just pretty much doing nothing much since I got home.
It was hot and humid this afternoon.
There were a few rain drops, very few.
Feels good to have errands run and plenty of food in the pantry so there's no pressure to go out in the heat.

I love the bunny story! So sweet. I could picture it!

Great work today, SubC and Tillie. WOW what a successful day for you Tillie! And all before noon! Excellent work! Sub
C you are doing great!

I saw friend for dinner. I had the charred broccoli with chick peas sandwich. So delicious. Then I stopped at store to get a few things for mom and I picked up dinner for BF. Then I hung out with him for a bit then took a walk. Now I'm home and ready to jump in my super clean bed! Thin comforter washed up nicely. The borax makes such a difference. Gives a little of that Dried On The Line feel.

Cm how are you?

Tillie too late to do dishes as I use them. But I've started and it's going well. Once they are clean, I'll be able to do a clean as you go. ESP for my little friend. I'm using a Swedish sponge, something that makes me think of SubC. It's good for the environment, can be used for all sorts of things, and can be cleaned in the washer. Pretty nice thing to have. I give them now as gifts to people. They are terrific.

Thanks for the input on the Bosch brand. I think I will love it. I have no anxiety since I trust the company and their workers.

That's a really cute little bunny tale. :D
The other times she was just playing hard to get but that last time her real emotions came out.

Very glad you put "nap" om your list.
I do that kind of thing too.
I write "shower" on a lot of my lists to remind me to call it a day and spend some time resting and doing self care.

WAY TO GO! you did a lot today!
Get a good night's sleep since you missed nap time.

Tillie, I hope you have plenty of ice cream!

I also went to the grocery store and the bank. It must be grocery day. CM do you have groceries? I don't want to think about what would happen if you ran out of sno-cones.

I did not get home until 5:00 though. The next thing on my list for today is "nap", but it is too close to dinner time, so no nap for me. I have started putting it on my list so I at least consider it as an alternative to snacking and watching videos. Dh will be home in 45 minutes, so I will start cooking soon.

Tatoulia, Bosch makes good dishwashers!

I cleaned the last stall and around the bunny hutch this morning and my thighs are sore when I go up and down the stairs. I also got feed today, so I have been very busy. And I filled my gas tank and dropped off my trash.

Last night I left the bunny out in her run until almost dark. Usually she wants to stay out longer and holds very still when I come to get her like she hopes I won't see her, but last night as soon as I opened the lid, she ran over to me and sat up on her back legs to be picked up. I felt a little bad, like she was saying "mommy! You forgot me!" But it was also very cute.

Good Afternoon Everybody

Hi Tatoulia
Without a dishwasher it is best to wash dishes as you go.
Takes a few seconds to wash up a lunch plate and glass.
But it makes such a huge difference at the end of the day to not have a heap of dishes to wash.

YEA! for getting the order in!
Solid plan using the card and paying it off in two payments.

Don't let others in the walking challenge make you feel like you have to compete with them.
You walk for your own self and only when you are up to it.

Have a pleasant dinner with your friend. :)

I went into town!!!
Paid the property tax bill, 437.00 for the year.
Filled 4 water bottles.
Stopped by 2 thrift shops.
Bought a Winter weight shirt (2.00) at one shop and 2 yards of decorative trim (25 cents) at the other shop.
Then went grocery shopping.
Bought lots of food for me and the cats.
Resisted temptations left & right, stuck to the list.
Got some mint chocolate chip ice cream, ice cream was on my list. ;)
Now I have enough provisions here to get us through the next two weeks.

Hello everyone! Tillie I suspect you are out shopping. I ordered my dishwasher, a Bosch. It will be delivered and installed on Wednesday. So that means I'll have to change the day my cleaners come here.

My laundry is done and I'm now washing dishes. I need to put new sheets on the bed. I'm meeting a friend for dinner at 6. I have my windows open and ceiling fan on.

I am eager to get rid of more things.

Hello everyone!

I need to do a grocery shopping. I couldn't do a thing over the weekend. I was going to go after dinner with friends Monday night (I did end up going and I was glad for it) but it was pouring rain with lots of lightning so I got a ride home from one of my friends.

Someone at the walking challenge at work said she was shocked to see that 1) she was up higher in the rankings and that 2) I'd slid to #7 and that she was shocked. I told her with the weather, I just can't do anything. I took the train to work yesterday because of torrential rains but I did walk home and I did take the long way home. I'm home today and meeting a friend for dinner tonight and will walk both ways with maybe a stop at the store.

So I haven't been doing much of anything. I need to wash my dishes today. I'll start with taking out the ones in my dishwasher. I've chosen my new dishwasher from a local place, Yale Electric. I've bought most of my light fixtures there and my mother had them do her entire kitchen at her last condo. They are local and good and have their own installers, which is very important to me. Using Sears or Home Depo was always a crap shoot because they used contract workers, and the service level varied. Once Sears sent me a broken appliance, and then I had to go through hoops and other obstacles to get a new appliance. And it was a hassle. Of course I'm not sure if Sears still exists but I don't expect anything better from Home Depot.

I'll call Yale in a bit to finalize it. BF offered me $$ but I'll put on my emergency credit card and will pay it off over the next two paychecks. I just had to finish paying that other condo assessment and my property taxes so I'm a little tight right now. But I'm comfortable with using the credit card for this.

Doing laundry. Going to wash my thin white comforter today. It's a bit dingy right now.

BF says he thinks I'll have the ladies come in to do my dishes but I'm trying to avoid that.

Good Morning Everyone

Hi Subclinical
YEA! for another good weather day there!

WTG! for taking advantage of the days.
You must have really worked hard to be exercise sore.

Reusable packaging...
I just wish everything was not so overly packaged.
Seems like when I come home from the grocery store, I end up filling half a grocery bag up with packaging.

Unfortunately, I can not find any use for most all of it.
Online purchases are overly packaged too.
Paper, bubble wrap, a too big box for a small item all for something that could have been put in an envelope.

Had a good night's sleep last night.
Going to town today.
Will stock up on food for me & the cats, enough to last us two weeks.
By then maybe the worst of the heat will be over with. :)

Tillie, i'm Glad you got a nap. Grief is exhausting.

Yesterday I got two stalls and the run-in cleaned. I also put away the things I brought from dd's house, picked blackberries, and did some dishes.

More dishes today (they piled up a bit) and more stalls because we are having a miraculous second day that I am home with nice weather!

I do have to go to the feed store - because I am out of feed, and the grocery store - because I am out of soap to wash clothes.

I am a little sore today, but not "overdid it" sore, just "exercise" sore.

Someone on my other bb started a "reduce your trash" challenge, and I think I may have gone a little crazy on their thread.

Someone talked about "reusing" packaging, or giving it to someone who could reuse it, and I asked how much "reusable" packaging we really needed to supply everyone on the planet, because I have 5 overflowing boxes of it in my basement.

Good Evening Everyone

Had an hour long nap this afternoon.
Feeling so much better.
Got the watering all done.
While I was hosing all the dust off the car it rained a little, very little.
But I thoroughly enjoyed being out in it.

Have the car rinsed, my shopping list all made up and my empty water bottles in the car.
Just took a beautifully refreshing shower.
All ready to go into town tomorrow and buy some food.
Hoping I get a good night's sleep tonight.

Hello Everybody
Thank you

Hi Subclinical
Hope your weather was pleasant and the stall cleaning went easy.

Hi Tatoulia

Hi CriticalMass

Well, as expected, hardly slept last night.
Got up and watched the sunrise.
Had a severe headache and neck pain but been medicating with aspirin and lots of tea and the pain has eased up.

Overcast day here and I actually had a few raindrops.
Been watering the trees.
With the high temps I have to water more often right now.

I just had a glass of instant breakfast in almond milk and two graham crackers.

Oh Tillie.

I am going to continue the other conversation for people who follow directions.

I'm glad you have a plan to get food.

My dsil is not as bad as Steven. If you look at the photos that go from 1-9, he is about a 4 or 5 in "his" areas, and a 2 in areas that are shared (although Dd things the garage should be shared, and he thinks it is his.) Dd can't go in his room (office/art studio) without knocking something over, but I can. The kitchen is a zero.

He is a very clean hoarder though. No dirty clothes, no food or other organic material (except bark, for some reason he is storing shredded bark in containers in the garage.) One of the reasons he "has no time" is because he is constantly moving things to clean. They have two inside cats and a dog and their house is cleaner than mine.

The weather is supposed to be very pleasant today, so I will begin by cleaning stalls.

I am going to write something here that I do NOT want anybody to read.
Please, please, please stop reading now!

At the end of my road is a street.
A little two year old boy who's family lives on that street went missing this evening.
All the Sheriff's deputies, the volunteer fire department personnel, search & rescue and people who heard about it all come out and searched for him.
I was out there searching with my flashlight along with them.
There are irrigation ditches that periodically run, to water people's crops.
Tonight the ditch was running.
The rushing water had carried him far down the road.
They were attempting CPR.
We searched for him for over two hours before he was found so I do not have any hope they were able to save him.
I feel so all alone here all alone but for two cats.
If you did disobey and read this, please say a prayer for the tiny child, his parents/family and for all the people who searched so hard to find him.
We are all so heartbroken...

Hi Subclinical

That's a great plan, to wait and see what inspires you to get into.
Enjoy your alone time too, eat something cool and light, maybe some music.

I think metallurgy in a small ceramics kiln would destroy the kiln.
Very glad you are keeping her things safe for her.
She may as well put up the hose holder herself since it's just sitting around there.
I have taken abandoned things that were just sitting there and put them to use around here.
Steven had 5 ceiling fans, new in original boxes.
I needed a ceiling fan so I took one and installed it.
Enjoying it as I type. :D

Thinking one day this week I'll head to the grocery store in the evening.
Stays light out till late this time of year.
That way it will be cooler and still light out when I leave the store to come home.
Plus, if I buy ice cream it won't totally melt before I get it in my freezer.
I'll use the insulated tote bag too. ;D

Good job with the t-shirts and the litter boxes CM. You and badger had a busy day. I love the sno-cone picture.

Tatoulia, I hope you get a new dishwasher quickly.

Tillie, be careful if the heat, but don't run out of food or we will have to send badger to ride shotgun.

I don't know how much I helped my Dd. I think mostly she got to vent. I did agree that she should just go ahead and put up the hose holder her dh got to put up on the side of the house, and my car is full of empty bins, glaze chemicals, and the test kiln dh uncle gave her, which I told her is simply on loan until her space availability changes. She can always come use it here. Her dh wanted to keep it to experiment with metalurgy, but it is not really the right piece of equipment for that, and it is hers.

Tomorrow I am staying home all day and I don't have to cook dinner (dh is eating out with his golf buddies) I haven't decided yet what to get into, but I am determined to make progress somewhere.

Good Afternoon Everybody
Cool glass of water "CLINK!"

Hi CriticalMass
You have been very busy!
WAY TO GO!.

YEA! for clean bunny litter boxes!
The bunnies thank you too.

That was excellent reasoning about those Tshirts.
Dollar a bag, take the ones that you want and donate the majority to another store.
I've done that too when the thrift shop bundles up items and I want some of the things but not all of them.

Good luck to you & your roommate with the crazy schedule.
Stay out of the heat and stay well hydrated. (((hug)))

Hi Tatoulia
Sorry the friendship has run it's course.
But grateful the breakup is mutual, short and sweet.

It is perfectly acceptable to cancel/change dinner plans.
Sometimes it is better to bow out or you pay for it later.

The hot weather warning here is still in effect.
I'll keep watching & waiting for an improvement before I venture into town.
The cats have put themselves on pause finally.
They both have become terrible nags.
Loudly demanding canned food or snax at random times.
Getting right in front of me and not moving out of my way so I would have to trip over them or step right on them.
Giving in to their demands is just making them do it even more. :P

And this morning I cleaned out both of the bunnies' individual litterboxes! *happy dance*

Badger is earning the sno cones - I got the new battery installed in my tablet. It is going to save me SO many headaches.

Just got done washing the thrift store T-shirts and a few pieces of my own laundry. And this morning

Tatoulia, I hope you get the cool weather soon. My FB friend in Pawtucket RI has been telling of the heat but I guess they have gotten at least some promising clouds. Anyway, do scale back your exercise sensibly when it's so horribly hot. Saturday when I arrived at the library I questioned whether it had been foolish to go out and I even considered turning right around and heading home! I did go on inside and took time to get water, use the restroom, and mosey about cooling off before sitting down at the computer.

I'm going to print out the new novel pages I wrote - may write some more before I do, too!
