Then run around everywhere with the vacuum attachments vacuuming lots of things and places where dust has setteled.
Then scrub that bathroom super clean.
Fix a bucket of wash water with some pinesol and wipe off all light switches and door knobs and door jams. Then wipe all other things made of metal.
Then wash the floors.
Vacuum the carpet then dust and wash everything else in here.
When I feel brave I will sweep the porches, it is only 10 degrees F outside right now.
The house is small and clutter free so a good deep cleaning will only take me 5 hours at the most and I move slow.
It will feel GREAT to have it all back to normal.
Wishing everybody a happy & productive day! :D

Good morning :)
I slept in and am just sitting here drinking tea and surfing the web.
Nothing much to do today. :D
Tomorrow will be busy cleaning everything since he will be going back to work. Finally! :D
Going to make spaghetti today. Yum!
Hope everybody has a fun and relaxing day.

Hey Tillie, LMAO! It's so true! :D I also found a cardboard cut-out of my favorite character "Jax" from "Sons of Anarchy" on the Internet too. I thought about buying it also; but then I decided to wait and see if I will eventually be able to find it at the mall. Because I'm scared that if I order it from the Internet it might accidentally get damaged during the delivery process. I really really hope that the mall will eventually start to sale it because I want it really really badly. :)

Cory it has been an amazing day! :D
To celebrate I just took a long hot shower. Such a wonderful start to the new year.
P.S. you missed deleting a post down in "Clean Up Help". ;)
See you tomorrow at 5pm PST in the online chat.

I just bought a "Sons of Anarchy" blanket that I found on the Internet. I figure since I already bought a bunch of "Sons of Anarchy" merchandise from the mall in Michigan, I'll finish off my collection by buying a "Sons of Anarchy" blanket from off the Internet. :)

Good morning :)
Wishing for another snow storm to move in. That will make it warmer here. The temps have been 4 to 20 degrees F for too many days now. BBBBRRRRRRR!!!
The cats and I have been watching out the windows at the men digging trenches and laying in the new leech lines. :D
They have one line already in, connected and working.
My toilet now actually flushes SWOOSH! instead of just sorta/kinda maybe flushing.
We will have 2 very long lines to handle the water when they are all finished.
The kidney stones have stopped hurting him for now. He seems anxious to get back to decluttering. He has filled the truck with items to donate and will be dropping those off today. :D
Hope everybody is having as great a day as I am! :D

YEA! WTG! Beverly! :D
Getting that fan cleaned is wonderful! I am happy for your little bird too. :D
Yes it is sad and difficult to deal with things that hold memories. But it is a better way to honor those memories when the things are not just buried under other things and collecting dust.
Clearing the dresser is a great accomplishment.
Good luck & best wishes :)

I am actually cleaning off my bedroom dresser. It's piled 2ft high and dusty. It's hard to see things that belonged to my two husbands especially John the first one. He never even lived in this house but his things all around... Makes me sad.
I started with cleaning the ceiling fan that my little cockatiel bird started sitting on at night. She would hide up there where it"s really warm and I finally saw her. The fan was filthy. I have never cleaned it in the 10 years I've been here and it was filthy when we moved in. We were remodeling so I didn't bother. Turns out the fan is white not beige...lol. Now her white/yellow feathers won't get dirty.
Guess I better go back to cleaning off the dresser.

OMG! I just missed "Lifetime" playing my all time favorite episode of "HOARDERS". :(
I was flipping through the guide on my television and I just found out that they are playing a "HOARDERS" marathon on "Lifetime". And I also found out that one of the episodes that they just played was my all time favorite episode; and I accidentally missed it. :(

OMG! I feel like such an idiot right now. :( I just found out that my dad found out that Kim Kardashian is pregnant 4 days ago. I can't believe that he found out that Kim Kardashian is pregnant before I did. And I can't believe that he didn't tell me. He knows Kim Kardashian is my idol. I need to start watching "E! News" and "Showbiz Tonight" more often. :)

OMG! I just found out that my idol, Kim Kardashian, is pregnant! :D And she is already giving out pregnancy advice. You got to read this article that I found on the Internet. The article is called: "Kim Kardashian's Motherhood Guide". Go to this website to read it: www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/01/04/kim-kardashian-s-motherhood-guide.html I think Kim Kardashian is awesome and I would love to be like her one day, but some of the stuff that she says in this article is pretty ridiculous. Lol. :)

Good morning :)
Just need to do the usual daily tidying up today.
Extremely cold here so I am moving pretty slow.
Going to look around for an easy task to occupy myself with. Something that does not involve going outside.
One "Must Do" for me today is to clean out the fan on my laptop. Wash and disinfect the keyboard and clean the monitor screen. Amazing how dirty a computer can get!
Have a fun day! :D

Because of my dietary restrictions I cannot eat pickles (too much salt) and I no longer eat any dairy products. So pickles and ice cream would be a no-no for me.

Then I will dust & polish the rest of the room.
Everybody have a great day and stay out of the ER. :D

The first thing that I am going to do today is hang up my 3 new "Sons of Anarchy" posters. And then after I hang up my posters I'm going to start watching my "Sons of Anarchy" blu-rays. :)
It's a good thing that I have nothing else going on today; because I have the first 4 seasons of "Sons of Anarchy" to watch on blu-ray.:)

I just got back from Michigan. I am so glad to be home; and I am pretty sure that Matt and Cory are just as glad to be home as well.
Our trip went pretty well. Matt and Cory got lots of love and attention from all of my relatives. They love the new collars that I got them for Christmas. I got the newest version of the IPad for Christmas which is the iPad 4. I absolutely love it. My grandparents gave me and my cousins a bunch of money for Christmas; I have already spent $100 of it so far. My cousins and I went to the mall on New Year's Eve and while we were at the mall I bought a bunch of "Sons of Anarchy" merchandise; I bought 4 shirts, 2 hoodies, a bag, 3 posters, and seasons one through four of the tv show on blu-ray. I just went crazy at the mall and bought pretty much anything that had to do with "Sons of Anarchy". Because normally where I live, all they sell at my favorite stores in the mall is "Twilight" merchandise and "Justin Bieber" merchandise, which I find so incredibly ANNOYING!!!!! So I was really shocked and very happy when I went to all of my favorite stores at the mall in Michigan and found a bunch of "Sons of Anarchy" merchandise. :)
Also while I was in Michigan, I found out that my aunt Sharlene and my grandma are officially at WAR with one another. I'm going to call this war, "The War of the Housewives". Because they both like to do the same type of things, like they are both really good cooks and they both like to entertain people at their houses, but they are also very competitive and very catty towards one another. And they like to spread mean gossip about one another, to try and make the other one look bad. And it's getting really bad.

Hi :D
For some unknown reason I couldn't get online at all this morning. Maybe the interwebs were just too cold. It still has not gotten to 20 degrees F here. ;p
Anyways.... I have been going around the house cleaning, straightening, organizing and taking inventory of every shelf, cupboard & cabinet.
Good news is that I don't need to write anything down on my shopping list. :D
This is a good task to do on such a bitterly cold day.
Stay warm! :)

Happy last day of 2012
This morning has been hectic. Cats running & jumping & fussing everywhere. The man running & jumping & fussing everywhere and me just trying to have a cup of tea. Heavy sigh.
Need to tidy up the kitchen because late last night he brought out a lot of dirty dishes from his bedroom and dumped them in the sink.
Need to clean the bathroom, sweep the floors, vacuum, sweep the porches, do some laundry.
Today the sun is shining, no clouds in the sky and temperature is below freezing.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Beverly :D
Thank you for the Greetings. :D
BIG WAY TO GO!!!on using the things you already have and reducing the amount of new stuff coming in.
This year whenever you just "shop at home" rather than bringing in something new you are doing my challenge. :D
Lets see how good we can do with this idea.
About running out of things, a friend said that she has the store keep the items for her until she needs them. Less clutter in her home that way. lol
P.S. the blackberry cobbler was fantastic. ;)
Have a wonderful New year! :)

Happy Birthday and Happy New Year Tillie!
Blackberry Cobber sounds much better than birthday cake to me.
I love your challenge. It's the "Don't Buy Any New Stuff Ya Don't Need Just to Stuff It In The House Challenge". That's a pretty big challenge for a bunch of hoarders... but I'm happy to say, I have cut way back on my hoarding of supplies. I've been using up all the products I already have and if I want to go shopping for clothes, shoes or handbags, I can just go shopping in my own stuff. There is so much, I don't even remember getting half of it. Wow... how did it all start!
I think it comes from a fear of loss or being without. What if all my stuff disappeared? Oh noooo... I better get more, just in case...hahaha

Since he has been home 24/7 this last month I have only been doing the minimum of cleaning. He will return to work soon so I have started doing small cleaning projects in places where he won't be messing it up right behind me.
Yesterday I swept the ceilings. Weird how even they can get dusty. Cleaned the area under the burners on the stove top. That gets dusty too. When he goes back to work I will give the house a good deep cleaning.
Today I will clean the areas under the sinks. Wash and bleach the cat boxes. Swish & swipe the bathroom. Sweep the floors & porches ( the front porch is covered in snow).
Doing a few "extra" tasks a day along with the daily maintenance breaks the cleaning tasks down into very do-able size and you don't get overwhelmed and discouraged.

Well, the 1st guy that was to do the work has died so we now have a younger healthier licensed contractor scheduled to do the work this next Monday.
My To-Do list for today is to clean the bathroom, wash the floor, sweep porches, vacuum and dust.

Had some fun yesterday. Made blackberry cobbler instead of a birthday cake. Went shopping in town and bought myself some new underwear and two movies.
Have been thinking real hard about something I want to do this year... My plan is to NOT buy anything except food and any necessary toiletries or cleaning products.
I have taken inventory of everything that I own and it is all in fine condition. I have enough clothes, shoes and linens to last the year.
Anybody want to join me in this challenge? :D

Good morning :)
Thinking about not even bothering this year to bake my birthday cake. There is something that I want to buy for myself but the stores are all crazy with people.
Anyways.... To-Dos for today are the usual daily tasks and whatever else I choose to do.
I have no idea what his plans are. Fortunately, the snow here is thin and not really a problem.
Have a nice day! :D

That is unusual for it to post twice.
I am hoping that he continues to declutter the property. This side yard is a large area where he has piled up a lot of stuff over the years. It was dangerous just to try to walk through there.
Hope you find your motivation and have a very happy New Year.

OK, I decided to clean the cupboard over the fridge. Removed everything, washed down the entire thing then washed all the dishes I keep up there and put them back all neat & tidy. Nothing in there that I do not want or use, even if some things are only used when I have company over for dinner.
He has spent the day out working in that side yard. It is a big area and he has now gotten more of it decluttered. He's been burning more rotted lumber. His metal scrap pile is growing.
He gave me a tour of all he has accomplished out there. So nice to see it getting cleaned after so many years. :D

Good morning
If any of you are wishing for a white christmas
Stop it!
We have enough snow here already.
Not much happening here today. Just the usual daily chores to handle.
Hoping he keeps his motivation up to declutter something. Even the smallest task accomplished is a giant leap in the right direction.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday! :D

Tillie, Just make the most of it! Overall I would say he has done some great work...just losing his steam it sounds like. I am heading out to do some more shopping and since I think tonight will be dead on the support group I may just stay out and try to get all my shopping finished up. Good morning
I have no plans for today. There are lots of different projects I could work on around here. Like putting the new shelf paper on in the kitchen cupboards. But with him home & under foot I don't want to.
I have a whole list of things to do once he goes back to work.
Hoping that today he continues doing some more decluttering.
Be safe out there driving around in the christmas traffic! :)
