Hi all, TGIF!

Busy day here. Payday, bill paying, doctor's appointment and more. Just in time on the payday - I was down to under 20 bucks in checking and my savings has also gone down. All those vehicle repairs took a dinosaur-sized bite. Hope that by being frugal I can begin to refill the coffers.

Doctor's check-up (about 6 months out from surgery) went okay - but he really wants me to get to the gym and do core abdominal work to strengthen the repairs. Which I would've been doing 2 months ago had I not been steamrollered by all the tires and other repairs and financial glitches. Grrrrr. I'm going to have to prioritize the exercise (hey, that sounds catchy!).

So that will be something I'm just going to have to schedule and be disciplined about. Meanwhile, on the clutter front, I paid my bill for the current storage unit today, and talked to the manager. She's really nice. I said I'm thinking about going to one of the units of the same company closer over here, providing I can get help to do so. She said the money I've paid will transfer. So that may help facilitate things. All I need now are the MINIONS to help!

Didn't go inside my unit today because I needed to get back home and bake. My big plans for the weekend include delivering a cake to church tomorrow and going to the Bingo on Sunday. That's our big spring fundraiser, the feature being 20 hand quilted quilts, some of which I've helped on via the quilt guild. It's fun. There is a $500 raffle drawing - man, if I could win that . . .

So my cakes have been baking, but thank the Lord I decided to make two - one for me and my roommate. Because I'm still not accustomed to her oven. It bakes hot and fast. My cake intended for the church is the one that overbaked and has a huge hump and cracked place in the middle! (My Wilton cake class teacher would probably not claim me.) Fortunately, the "other" cake is okay, so now I just have to do a switcheroo on the pans, and frost those babies.

Speaking of which, they may be about cool enough for that. Everybody have a great weekend!

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Hoping you are starting to improve (((HUGS)))

Hi CriticalMass :)
YEA!!! for internet! :D
Hope all the glitches are smoothed out now.

Hi Pain :)
I also watched some of those same youtube videos.
HaHaHaHA ;D
Have never tried making any of the traps though, but it's good to know anyways.

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Sorry the truck deal fell through :(
Sometimes when things don't work it later turns out that something better comes along later.
(((hug)))

Today I really need to get off my butt and do stuff around here.
That dental appointment and all the useless worrying I did about it wore me out and I have let things pile up around here.
Today I WILL get back to doing the general maintenance.
Wash dishes, sweep & vacuum, put things away and straighten up.
Then I can maybe enjoy the weekend. :D

Anybody have any plans for this weekend? ;)

Fast drive by

Would've been longer, but

Internet is back up - yay, but

Before it was being glitchy and freezing my screen

I reset the modem, maybe that did help, who knows

Anyway, it's behaving now, but I'm all exhausted and grouchy.

Till next time.

Nothing better to do today.
I looked up on you tube.

Water bottle mouse trap.

And I fiddled and fiddled and fiddled till I made it work. .

Just peanut butter. Is all I. Need to buy now.
Well if I ever need the mouse corpses for fish bait I'll be good in knowing how to go from an empty water bottle., To I live mouse., To a live fish .

Well, i got really excited about buying that truck...all the freedom & independence itd give me...then the seller backed out....he decided to keep the truck...so i had to rent another car...now my car is ready & needs to go to another shop to have the door fixed...my rental car wont help me do any of that...im just grateful they could fix my car....i am still trying to figure out how to respond to my Mom wanting me to fix things with my sister so we can all be together again before she dies. I want to do that for her, but im not sure if i can handle it emotionally. Im suppose to apologize, even tho she & her husband embezzled all that money....ive just gotten more into going inside myself in a spiritual way...it seems far more comforting than dealing with other humans...

Good Morning Everyone :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Please feel better soon (((((HUGS))))) :(

Hi Pain :)
Sorry about the pain of the dentist's bill (((HUGS)))
My Dentist offers (Nevada Dental Health Services) insurance that only costs me 60.00 a year and has a great reduction of prices for dental work.
That is the only reason I can afford to ever go.
And I have a booklet that lists all the prices for everything so no sticker shock.

Hi CriticalMass :)
Thank you :)
Hope you had a wonderful and restful day off enjoying quiet past times :)

Since I am now 63 and still have all my original teeth, the dentist says that I will most likely have them all the rest of my life. :)
Only have some crowns on the molars I broke from grinding.
Beautiful sunny day today. Cold but not windy.
The Sierra Nevada mountains where I live has had so much snow fall this year that they can't measure how deep the snow is because their instruments don't go that deep.
More snow predicted to fall this weekend.
All reservoirs and lakes and wetlands are full again.
Keeping fingers crossed that this long dry drought is finally ending for us. :D

TTFN :)

Keep up the good fight, everyone.

Greetings from McDonald's wi-fi! (Hoping our home modem arrives today and fixes the problem.)

Pain, sorry about the dental woes. My feeling is that dentistry is hard enough to endure without the humongous bills. One of my molars that I had pulled I remember the dentist saying it could be saved with a root canal but no way was I going to try to suffer through that and all the crown stuff. I've never had those and I don't plan to. If I end up with dentures, I end up with dentures. But hopefully I can keep most of my teeth. Wishing you all the luck in the world and a surprise financial windfall that will cover it!

Tillie, glad you had a clean bill of dental health.

Tatoulia, glad your mom is home and will have help, and kitty I'm sure is glad to see her. You feel better too yourself, okay?

I decided to wait to have breakfast till after my Ash Wednesday Mass so I could use the McDonald's wi-fi. It seems like it should be later than it is; I rarely get up in time to go to anything that starts at 8:00 a.m. these days! I'll go home in a bit, take the dog out, then chill awhile and have a nap and a late lunch in whatever order. I'll do a little Bible reading and other quiet stuff. Might work on some of the embroidered pieces to go in my quilt.

Glad I get a day tomorrow also where I don't have to be anywhere, because Friday and the weekend are going to be so busy. The weather has been more seasonal instead of warm. I hope that maybe next week we'll get some warm days because I do want to go out to the storage and work on some small projects, and call my social worker helper on Monday to see if we can set up that appointment to meet and hopefully make a plan. It would be SO awesome if this month would be the beginning of something great, aka, big forward progress with the storage situation. :)

Sticker shock.
Wish I were more savy in making these dentists tell me their costs . I would of just had it pulled.
$3000 to save a moller and insurance is only 1355.
Had get credit card account just get the root canal. But then the cost of the crown was just as much. I'm wiped out Completely. I hate that .

I should of just did something in december 16 and then January 2017.
At least it's started. But I won't have the money for the crown until 2018

Hi everyone. I only skimmed your posts. I am still miserably ill and took another sick day today. I still worked very hard. Taking things to mom's, getting her things washed, taking her things to dry cleaner, etc. she did get discharged and BF and I had just finished lunch at the time so the timing was perfect. She was so glad to be home and I got her into her nightie. Unfortunately she got sick and her new comforter cover will have to be washed tomorrow. The poor thing. She has no use of her right hand and limited use of her left hand. They have arranged for a nurse to infuse her twice a day and there are also going to be people coming to clean, help her bathe, get her dressed, etc. terrible infection and I hope it continues to clear up. Kitty was glad she was home but honestly the little one held up so much better this time. Mom held up better too.

I am seeing dr tomorrow. I don't know if I can try to work in AM or not.

It seems lots of dental problems happening?
Pain, im so glad yours is better!
Tillie, what a relief you have no dental worries! I totally understand that feeling of dread!
Tatoulia, i hope you get to feeling better soon & you & your Mom can comfort each other?!
CM, i hope you get your internet back on soon! It can be so helpful! I also google info constantly! ....actually, googling 'narcissistic men' each time i missed my ex boyfriend was the most amazingly helpful thing! I cant believe how much that clarified all the mysteries about him!
Right now im wanting to buy a truck that is just what ive wanted. Im a little nervous about it, but the independence goes beyond just the practicality! ~☆~Good Health & Happiness To All!!!~☆~

HELLO :D

Hi CriticalMass :)
Enjoy your day tomorrow!
Hoping the new modem solves your problems.
Having the internet at our finger tips is such a wonderful thing. ;)

Home from the dentist's office.
Had xrays, a cleaning and then the dentist checked out my teeth.
NO PROBLEMS!!!!! YEA!!!!!! :D
All that worrying was for nothing.
Heavy sigh of relief.
Planning to take the rest of today off and just relax. Tomorrow I will find stuff to do.

Hope you are all having a good day.

Prayers and well wishes for everyone - for better health and relief from tooth problems!

Internet provider is sending a new modem, so I hope that fixes the problem at home. I don't mind the library but I miss being able to Google oddball things that come to my mind at night.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday so I will go to morning Mass and then probably just have a quiet, contemplative day; that's what I like to do on Ash Wednesday. Like a mini retreat. I helped my elderly friend do yard work this weekend and might still do with a nap from that.

Thursday I'll regroup, tie up some loose ends of this and that, and get ready for Friday which is payday, a doctor appointment, and bustling around to pay bills and stuff.

Things don't always go way. I just want to say thank you . To you all. You're openness and understanding has encouraged me to look upon my tasks everyday. Even though not everyday got as much completed as I hoped to or planned to. Just staying focused and open about kept me going.

Now I'm sitting here comfortably numb. Rather than feeling in despair . I'm feeling like I can relax.

A big thanks to you all.

HI :)

Hi CriticalMass :)
I grind my teeth too and have been using over the counter bite guards for a long time.
It has really helped keep me from breaking any more teeth in my sleep. :)
Good luck with your budgeting and hope nothing unexpected happens to derail your plans.

Hi Anonymoniker :)
Keep enjoying that truck and the freedom it gives you! :D

Hi Pain :)
So very happy you got some medicine for that infection!
(((HUGS)))
Keep up the wonderful job of trying to relax and enjoy these moments before the "big storm" that lurks on the horizon.

Hi Tatoulia :)

Freaking out and trying to remain calm as the hour of my dental appointment draws closer and closer.
Smoking like a chimney and fretting about it all.
I should just cancel it and take my chances that my teeth are alright.
Only thing I hate more than going to the dentist is having tooth pain.
If I go and nothing needs work, GREAT!
But if something needs work to prevent pain later on I think I would rather not wait until it starts to hurt.
OK, I won't cancel, I will be brave, put on my big girl panties and just get it done tomorrow.

Got back from dentist. And from pharmacy.
Need a root canal . Two actually.
But I've.choose to do only one. Keep the moller for nutritional priority..

I kind feel fine. Like standing on the shore before a tsunami hits. I don't see it , everything seems fine , but I know Im facing four OMG level events just over the horizon. I'm trying to remember the Carpe Diem "Enjoy yourself while you have the chance".

Warm bath, warm blanket, good treats, good TV, and exercise. Venting to online friends, and being nice visiting friends.

Hi folks!
CM, i do oil pulling while i do my arm weight exercises. That way i can keep a steady pace for each together & not get restless or bored.
I cant even remember what all my long lost post said. My friend called when i was almost done & that might be what went wrong. It kept saying i hadnt typed in the correct code, even tho it for sure was correct! Maybe it changed during that time...i dont know how to copy & paste. Im on a phone too?
I went to Lowes to get another plastic dumpster & also bought a set of porch loveseats, which ive wanted to replace my old torn up disguising ones for several years! Id planned to get regular house sofas, but figured these would be a little classier....well, yesterday i sat down on the old ones to recheck the difference and now im totally confused?!? The ones i just bought are more for sipping tea, whereas the old ones are really cozy & i can sink into them....so im gonna go see what there is at a regular sofa store & then decide. Maybe ill use these in another area?
I am loving having this truck! I can take my time, no arranging with anyone, no waiting for anyone, no paying anyone or hurrying cuz they have to be somewhere...aaahhhh!!! :D

Wow, I'll be sending up some prayers for everyone's health! Pain, glad your abscess burst anyway. I'm all about the natural remedies too. I have a severe dental phobia so I have to pray and work at never having anything bad happen toothwise. I plan to start doing oil pulling - maybe you've heard of it: WebMD Oil Pulling

I also have been grinding my teeth and I have sleep apnea, though I don't think it's too serious. I sleep on my side and do better. On payday this Friday I plan to get some kind of over the counter guard so I don't grind my teeth. Looking forward to that, it'll be comforting to know I'm not damaging them. I have this nightmarish vision of waking sometime to a big "CRUNCH" and another tooth gone. I've lost a couple of molars some years back. I just had them taken out under sedation because of my phobia.

Ain't life fun. *rolls eyes*

Today I woke to see that our home landline and internet are down. I'm at the library. I think the problem is on the telephone company's side. It's going to be a royal pain no matter what. This house is small and we have clutter - I feel bad that because of my moving in, my friend has had to crowd her stuff. And we've had crisis after crisis resulting in having to shift stuff around, and she has little time for going back through it. I'd offer to do it for her but I don't know if she'd feel comfortable with that.

Wish I could just get my own place and let her have her space back and me have my own space. This payday I'm going to try and set some aside and be frugal throughout the month and hope I end up with some left over. The van window may have to wait a little longer. And the front shock absorbers which my mechanic mentioned will be coming up - but if they aren't in terrible shape we can push it back a bit. Something's gotta give.

And I know that even with the best possible results, I won't have enough to get my own place for quite awhile. But maybe I'll have some to use toward resolving the storage unit situation, which would put me in better shape in that area, and be helpful down the road when I have saved enough for my own place. *sigh of resignation*

My wife's brother just showed up out of no where.
He's a soldier. No one knew he's been in the states. Let alone downtown.
He's got plans for the bathroom . I want tell him to stop. But then again I don't want to .

I'm just going to let him do whatever he wants for his sister. It's very emotional for them to be together after ten years apart. I'm just going to step back.

I lost so many posts over the years on other site's. I've learned to copy and paste in another app. Just before posting.

I think today I'll make more dinner plans .
And hopefully find friends to help with moving when that time comes. I think I'm ready to do it all myself , if I have too. But I'm trying to be as prepared as possible for all the different possibilities. I've had no sales in a week.
So if I'm up to it I'll take my daughter to get stuff In Storage and asks her to i.
I want to tell her I'll match any sales she puts into a college fund. But I'll have to see if that's real possibility or not.

But since she's the healthiest and most active person in the house today I'll see if we can continue on With improving the situation everyday.
2-3 hours. And Condensing the size of her tub foot print.

I had 150 tubs containers. That held the entire hoard. I'm now down to 105. But alot was just better packing. It's a relief knowing I don't have to move all that on moving day.

The abscess is much improved.
It was burst when I woke.
I rubbed it with salt and went to health food store for other remedy. I'll wait till Monday morning.
But I'll go to ER if it gets worse. I was going to go last night.but I'm not recognized by delta insurance. But I almost went anyway. Tillie. I appreciate your order. I really do. Thank you. And you are right.
However I'm tapped out on money at the moment. Facing a downsize layoff.
I'll not put it off another 48 hours. The swelling is decreasing , I'm keeping it cleaned and wearing a mouth piece that keeps me from clinching on that side. I felt better to eat normal foods while had the chance. So it's a risk I'm going to take.

I know I've been exposed to abscess for a few months . Just that I poked Into it with the water pick. Used ambusol to help with pain. But didn't read the directions. And of course I had a reaction to soda and ambusol causing g the swelling. I was at work in the warehouse. I was very active. My blood pressure was up for hours. It was so painful. I could barley function. It was unbearable. But leaving work would not make it better. I was so exhausted I just went home to sleep. Didn't know about insurance problem . So there I was. 1am with an abscess inflamed and no Insurance, but also other problems with the landlord and a sick and dying wife.
My decision is to wait based on my exposure isn't sudden. The pain and swelling is waining. And my understanding is I have bruxum (sp) I keep clinching a broken and I feared tooth root down into the bone in my jaw. So I've fashioned a football mouth guard to keep from clinching on that moller.
I don't Know that I'll be 100% OK waiting. But I feel Confident. That keeping it clean, with saline and the , antiseptic, plus using ice on the skin o ET the nerves. Aspirin to thin the blood. And a prescribed sleeping drug. I'll have a very good chance I'll make it 36 hours.

On the side I'm a health nut. My knowledge and experience on fasting, and nutrition uptake and e exercise. I'm in good health as opposed to being malnourished and frail. I feel confident I'll make it till Monday morning.

.....
I had mother in law contribute to the house.
It was a tricky way convincing her to Contribute.
I don't want rent . And what she's doing for my wife is a great help. However, she does Consume resources. So I asked her . If she could help with shopping. Not for me , but herself and my wife. And I'll shop for my daughter and I . At first she understood me to pay her, reimburse her. But I was clear. She pay for wife and herself. And I pay for daughter and I .
She came back at with she can't afford that.
I pointed out that currently I can't afford the shopping sprees either. Then I she got what I was trying to say.
If they want to go shopping, that's great, they don't need to pay for daughter and I , just themselves.

She brought back new towels for the bathroom.
I brought back new soaps and lotions & a 6 compartment liquids dispenser for use I side the shower. It's so convenient. To press a button and get all that great stuff.

I also had a talk with them about how or what we can do to improve my wife washing . My wife says just towels . But I'm thinking a hand sprayer like a kitchen Sink hand sprayer. A long one that I could mount near the toilet area. I already installed hand rails. Only need to put water proofing around the toilet walls and flooring. And the sprayer could snap on and off the hand sink faucet. Sounds more complicated, but is just a 8 day for me. Would be similar to a chair inside a tub. But more really like a tiny three inch tub around the toilet. No drainage. But the washer is in the same place as the toilet. So soaking up water with towels and then wash them would be super easy. Not to mention a way of washing the toilet with a hose can't be any worse than what she's doing now. I believe this will keep the area cleaner more sanitary than it is now.

I'm doing better. So dont worry.
And I thank you for letting me vent.

Hi CriticalMass :)
Nothing here is ever "off topic".
Here we all can talk about any & everything.
It's important for us to talk about the things we are doing or planning to do or find interesting or fun and not just talk about decluttering or cleaning.
We are all so much more than just the state of our homes.
Plus, always fretting about housework wears us down and makes us depressed and miserable.
This is why I always say to go play.
Schedule in time for rest and recreation.
WAY TO GO!!! for your quilt project!!!
;D

Critical Mass you're singing my song.
Not sure if this Appy to you.

I've said that counting now I've only had my home completely cleared and clean 6 times in my life.

On my fourth time. I had just gotten the DVR Technology from cable. Also was getting good at outline hierarchy to-do list software.

Anyhoo , I made a pact with my 4 year old at the time so 9 years ago.
We watch 1 TV show. Go do 1 thing on The to do list. No matter how big or small. I. 3 months the whole house was totally cleaned. Even cobwebs.
I'm also drawn to distraction . So have list of check boxes, and a prompt to complete a check box task it got done .

......
I did have a meeting with the landlord on Wednesday afternoon. I didn't know she was the owner. When I told her about my wife she understood our reluctance to sign a new lease. Of course the meeting was set up by my wife. And she was angry that I didn't ask the right questions. Ugh!

I have an abscess tooth today on top of everything else. And my delta dental insurance is saying I don't exist in their records. So it's impossible to ignore the pain today. Mostly just medically induced sleeping because the meds can't quell the swelling. I'm considering going to ER. I'm on liquids ,but I like protein shakes so it's not interfering with hydrating or nutrition. I can't swallow without struggling. I poked a deep cavity with a waterpik. And half of my face is swollen about 1/2 from ear to chin. But I know I'll get it taken care of sooner or later and I'm no stranger to pain. It's very distracting.

Everyone got up this morning and waited on eachother to take baths. Even the teenage.
If I go out I'll stop by a bath shop and get them soaps salts and whatnots. Since they're showing intrest.

We now have a. Leaning lady we pay $75 to do our laundry and wash our dishes once a month. She comes and gets it. And brings it all back in a week.
I can afford that. And between daughter, mother in law, myself and a friend of my wife . We can handle the room assignments. Mother in law wanted to do the clothes and dishes. But when I asked her too She never gave me an answer. So I'll go with the cleaning lady for a few months until we move .

Ok going back to sleep . After a warm steam bath. Oh yeah I went and got a steam shower head.

OK one last thing May not be very intresting.
I installed a progamable thermos stat. So that I'm strategic about turning the heat off for 6 hours a day. This helps cut the heat bill by 15-25% .
So help with cold people, I thought well just go take a steam bath. Which is upstairs and the heat stays up there like a cloud.

For my wife which can't get up there I have heated blanket and space heaters that you adjust to exact temperature. I wanted to create a shower area for her, but the landlord doesn't want it. And my wife says it's not all important. . When she travels to her moms . She shower's there. I be glad when we move so she shower when she feels like it. It's been this way for 3 years.
Sweet Dreams.

Morning all, quick drive by

Hope it isn't too off topic to just speak of my quilt, but I'm so pleased that I finished the computer mockup yesterday.

I actually can make a case for how my progress with the quilt could be helpful towards my decluttering goals. With ADD, I start so many things then get bogged down, lose focus, then instead of pushing through, catch sight of a new "shiny thing" and chase after it. Then it becomes the next thing I get stuck on, and cast aside for another shiny thing, rinse and repeat.

So I'm rewiring my brain for a new way of operating! :) Surely that will carry over to the decluttering area.

Hi CriticalMass :)
Fingers are still crossed that you get the help you need soon.
(((HUGS)))

Been busy. Doing a lot of stuff.
In town yesterday I ran into a lot of people I hadn't seen in a loooooong time and had some good catching up conversations.
Have everything ready to Spring clean the garden area but it's snowing again.
Clothes line T post is back in an upright position but I still need to put the line back up.
So no gardening or washing laundry today.

Everybody have a wonderful weekend! :D

Great work, Anony! I'm very impressed! Nice that you could stand up for yourself and have a laugh with the lady at the dump! Good for you!

Pain do whatever you need to do to guard the clean and clear spaces. A few posts back you were talking re moving. Are you still leaving your place? Do you have a new place to go?

I am very drawn from taking care of mom and her cat and worrying myself to death. I'll write more later.

Hey Tillie! Thinking of you! You too CM!

Hi all!
Pain, i like your idea of having nice bath treats! Ive been making bowls of fruit, nuts & chocolate to bring out to the hot tub! Its a great treat for sore muscles from loading up junk in this truck! Last week i had such a hard time getting all this one load in there, then the guy at the dump unloaded the stuff soooo easily! I felt frustrated that being female its so much more of a challenge, even tho i do arm weights, jog, eat healthy. I was really annoyed, then yesterday stuff kept blowing out of the back so i had to stop to rearrange it & tie it down better & i ended up getting there too late. Today i got to tbe dump 15 minutes before closing & they tried to turn me away again, but i insisted. I unloaded it myself & it was soooo much easier than loading it!!! It felt great flinging all that junk off! On my way out i noticed the lady let 3 more trucks in. I asked her about that & she admitted she never thought id be able to unload it that fast! HA!!! :D

So much pain today. Struggled to do anything.
Went to Walmart got a new water pick. Made the bathroom a body cleaning oasis. But it was slow going. Bathroom is acceptable, but also something to look forward to. It's hasn't been that welcoming in many years. I want to move the little fridge to just outside so that bathtime has all the treats. Hot coffee and ice cream . At least pleasant if I want it to more than just showering.

My thought is I'll not go back to neglecting the bathrooms if I spend time in them .

Hey everyone--another warm day here. I did get a little done around the house, in between taking care of mom and her cat. I vacuumed a little and I got the garbage & recycling out. It's been tough to do anything at all. Of course the vacuum is still sitting right there. But it's a start.

What are you doing today??!!??

Happy Thursday

Tatoulia, I'm glad your mother is going to be okay. And that her kitty has you to take care of her while your mom is recuperating.

Pain, I think throwing everything away is a way to vent frustration and like Tillie said, just do the mental exercise as to what life would be like. Then decide what to keep when in a calm frame of mind. I know calm is probably in short supply in your situation, but your determination is your driving force, so that's something to hang onto.

Weather here yesterday was absolutely marvelous for February - in the upper 70s! And I had been feeling a bit draggy since last week I was all gung-ho to make some progress on my quilt but had set it down and not picked it up. Well, yesterday with the sun and all I felt so energized that I got a bunch done! I rough cut all my sashing strips and photographed my pieced blocks so I can do a mock-up of where they'll go in the quilt. They are from scraps so I must distribute them so there won't be two alike side by side or all the blue ones in one row, etc.

Haven't heard from my social worker lady yet, but it's okay if I don't because wrapping up the month and transitioning into March, Ash Wednesday and Lent beginning, payday bill paying, and prep for our church Bingo with the quilts will keep me busy this week and next. If I haven't heard from her I'll call her after Bingo is over and maybe we can set up something.

In any case I'll have gas in my tank after payday and can go out and do some work in the storage. The paper tossing I did the other day made me feel like a decluttering Ninja! I've decided to try doing a little recycling again. I have a friend who has a bin, and she usually welcomes extra. She lives in the direction of my current storage unit, sort of. I think I'm going to find enough papers and stuff to make it worth my while. It might even make me more willing to part with stuff that I waver on, if I know it's going to be recycled.

From what I hear the weather this weekend is going to be cooler and wetter. I wouldn't mind but it bugs my sinuses and makes my teeth hurt. :( Overall, though, we've gotten so much warm weather this January and February that it may feel like an extended spring. That or we will end up having colder March-April-May, which has been known to happen here.

Tillie I'm glad you are getting snow, too--this unseasonably warm weather here, although lovely, is unsettling.

I had a monkey wrench put in my day yesterday. My dear mother was taken to the hospital and us very ill. I'm at her house right now, keeping her cat company while I work. The cat is not used to being alone.

I will head back over to hospital soon. She sounds better today but has a bit of a road ahead of her.

Good Morning Everybody :)

Hi Tatoulia :)
Lovely that you are having some warmer weather. :)
Hoping that your silver polishing motivates me to do some polishing of my own.
Sorry that your work situation has been so chaotic.
(((HUG)))

Hi Pain :)
My neighbor planted a mulberry tree several years ago and now I have two very tall mulberry trees on my property that just naturally planted themselves here.
I grow tomatoes in my garden simply by putting a tomato in my garden and letting it seed it's self.
:D

I had plans for today that involved driving to town.
It's been snowing pretty good since last night and we now have quite a few inches of fresh snow all over everything, including the roads.
I will wait and see if tomorrow the roads are cleared before I go grocery shopping.
But right now it's still snowing very hard.
It's so wonderful to see this normal weather pattern after so many years of drought.
;D

It was nice outside in February. So I picked up the yard. Spent time looking for all the yard equipment . Cut some of the tree back before spring leaves make it a harder to do task.

Since I dont own the home . I only plant mulberry trees. So Ive kept the some seed packs in the freezer. Basically I chew some mulberry slightly and then spit the fruit into toilet paper that I prepared so it's a combination of tissue paper fiber and seeds about 1 inch thick. It always gives me starts. Very easy to get going and I three years I start to get fruit from it and shade.
And sticks for fire starters for the fire pit.

I can't imagine my life with a sail boat on the lake and fire pit in my yard. It's nice to get tomatoes and mulberries so easily .

That was all from a an argument my wife and I had 15 years ago when she decided I spend too much on the boat. A boat I own in full.

So to appease her I reasoned that if I could skip 150 meals a year. That would cover my costs.

Well Im over weight so I practice fasting three days a week. So basically there's 313 skipped meals . Then if I grow 43 meals worth of food in a garden then that's 365. Skipped food money's.

So I don't ever hear it from her anymore.

Hello all.

Tillie I think it's going to be in the 50s here today.

I made it to work yesterday extra early and it felt good. Today I'm home and having a bit of trouble focusing due to so much chaos at work. But I'll persevere.

Polished some silver. Have dishwasher ready to be run. I'll make something of my day. And then I'll report back.

Woke up this morning to discover that last night's rain had turned to snow.

Good Morning Everyone :)

Hi Pain :)
Glad you are feeling better.
Great that you are planning on having a cleaning service!
A long time ago I had to accept that I would be the only one who ever cleans up around here.
I do it because I want to live in a clean home.
I only ever clean up in his bedroom when he is in the hospital because I feel responsible that he have a more accessible room to recuperate in when he gets back home.

Rained all day yesterday.
Found another rat hole dug to under the house foundation.
Filled the hole with sand but still have not caught the rat.
Need to clean the house today after this last 3 day weekend.
Supposed to rain more this afternoon so no laundry is getting done.
Oh Well....
