Great work getting the heavy drape washed up and returned! Nice to hear about your grandparents' house SubC and your daughter's shower! Great work working through your panic attack.
I am not feeling like myself and having a tough time. Yesterday I went for a walk with BF. Very difficult because of the terrible humidity and wearing the mask. Today is more of my weather.
We had very loud and scary thunder and lightning during the afternoon. Kitty didn't come out for a very long time. I was even able to shower in peace.
I'm doing work work today. I'm just so bored.
I just checked downstairs and since the washer was empty, I put in kitty's bed and blanket. Then I can put those away til the fall. This time of year she needs a pillow case or a table cloth. Cotton.
This will help relieve some of my stress.

Good Morning Everyone
Hi Subclinical Your Grandparents home sounds lovely. Wonderful memories to have of the times you and your Cousin stayed there. :D
I try to do my best to keep Steven's squalor and clutter out of this very tiny house. But the rest of the property is completely a mess. People think I am the hoarder/squalorer and that the inside is as terrible as what they can see from the outside and have been very cruel to me. The latest attacks have been someone calling and saying they are from the homeowner's association demanding to know the condition of the inside of the house. There is no homeowner's association out here, I just hang up without saying anything.
The cats & I are very cold today. Had to get out the little space heater just to thaw us out.

I think the only place I have ever lived in my life that had 0% squalor ever was when I lived with my grandparents at their house in a beach town in the summers. My grandmother would have people come in for a week before school got out and deep clean, repair, paint... then my cousin and I would show up with our suitcases. We had a little room that just fit two twin beds, a nightstand, and a laundry basket. You had to sit on my bed to open half the sliding closet door because there wasn't room to stand between the bed and the closet - even for a kid. We had a little hanging room and we each had a shelf and the rest of the closet was full of games and extra dishes. There was a lamp and a radio on the night stand and some art things and cards in the drawer. Just outside the bedroom door was a floor to ceiling bookshelf full of books. the bedroom door and bathroom door were across from each other but not quite at the end of the hall to allow for the bookshelf. We each had a round mirror that looked like a ship's wheel, and we would hang things on the spokes over the summer. Now I have a few of the games and the lamp and my mirror and dd2 has my cousin's mirror.

Thanks Subclinical
((((HUGS)))) PTSD from online school. Maybe changing the table around or putting a table cloth and center piece on it would help erase the memory.
YEA! for the Baby shower! Happy she has all those goodies. :D I remember how fun it was to constantly look at the baby things I received and think about the future.
WTG! for getting some more tomatoes in the ground! Yep, weeds :( There are always more weeds to get.
I washed dishes and wiped up things, it's all back to zero degrees of squalor.

Glad your drape is done!
The shower was nice. Dd got so many goodies!
It was kind of fun to see where everyone called in from.
But I had a panic attack 15 minutes before it was supposed to start. I think it was because I set it up on my classroom table. I am still not past the online school stress.
Hot here. I did manage to sneak out and plant 4 more tomatoes before it got too bad this morning. No weeding though - and it needs to be done.

Good Afternoon
Would be such a lovely coolish day if the wind was not RAGING.
The drape smells so fresh and good! Glad that chore is over & done with. One more thing crossed off my To-Do list.
Did a wash load of rags. Still need to wash dishes. Made a lettuce tomato & avocado salad and made Italian dressing.
Twinkles went out and was found under the sage bushes getting more brick-a-brack imbedded into his fur.
I accidently took a short nap.

OK The drape is washed and out on the clothesline.
I dread cleaning this drape because it is so large and very heavy. It is fully lined with that insulating blackout material. But it's so pretty and only cost me 5.00 and had no snags until I brought it into a house full of cats. The insulating blackout material is very nice to have year round.
Got all the hardware and bit of wall all washed and ready to rehang the drape.

Good Morning Everybody
Cool overcast morning, morning low 40 degrees, high today only upper 70s. Extremely high fire danger later today when the winds pick up. Tomorrow's low will be 35 degrees with a high in the 50s.
Plan for today is to wash the livingroom area drape. Then all drapes & curtains will have been done. Should also wash dishes. There are only a few, rinsed and stacked neatly beside the sink. I am tired.

Good morning, coffee clinks.
DD's online baby shower is today.
It's supposed to get hot early, so I don't know if I'll get any outside work done.
Yesterday I got all the remains of school out of the den. Now I need to clean the dining porch (Which is also covered in school remains) so that I can start putting the furniture back in place.
I did not play in the creek. The creek is running high and muddy. Not safe.
Tatoulia, the charity wasn't dd's idea. It was her boss. She has a great boss. Her company is not as community focused as yours, but they treat their people really well.
I don't feel like I am accomplishing very much, but I am trying. I am also resting a lot. My body and mind are tired.
My cousin posted a thing about executive function and all the ways the current situation taxes it. It was meant for teachers to help kids - who are still developing executive function, but since those of us who hoard tend to have weaknesses in that area, it applies. Basically, if you are making any progress at all, even not buying markers, that is good. Because just dealing with life right now uses up so much of our capacity.

Good Evening Everybody
Hi Tatoulia That looks like a lovely place to visit your Mom. Very happy for you (((HUG)))
WAY TO GO! for getting your charitable donation money matched! Glad they have rectified that oversight.
Hope BF's worries resolve themselves in the most positive ways possible. These are such hard times with so many unknown answers.
YEA! for laundry! We aren't worried that you won't get back to sorting and organizing. It's been one heck of a whirlwind week.
I think one way to help eradicate racism is for young people to make and share a meal together. Helps them see that we are ALL the same. We eat, we make plans, we can work together. Breaking bread together is a good way to bring people together. This is what we did to relate to other young people who thought differently about Native Americans. I see you are hungry so I happily give you half of what I have to eat.
Hi CriticalMass Very happy Bunny Boy only had a tiny touch of a belly ache! :D
Glad Roommate is able to do things again and had a nice walk with her Dog.
I find dresses are cooler to wear in hot temperatures. No waist band and cool breezes blow up your skirt. ;)
Do you remove temporary browsing history and cookies? Those will slow down & make any computer "boggy".
WTG! for laundry and scratching off some other things from your list.
Glad you had a good Dr. visit and have the new meds.
Season 4 episode 29 "Dark Shadows, the beginning".
When I was leaving WallyWorld yesterday there was a tall African American man standing guard at the door. It was obvious that he was a hired security guard even though he wore no uniform. We smiled to each other as I passed and he wished me a good day. I told him to stay healthy, he said he would. He was probably wondering why WallyWorld hired him for this location. So few people here, the kind that smile & say hello to strangers.
Also, at the end of my road sitting beside the irrigation canal was a Mallard Duck. He was so pretty!

Hello everyone! Great to read your posts! Tillie, I bet you looked beautiful in your dress and hat! How nice to see (and hug) your friend.
SubC and CM, I am in awe of how much you are able to get done despite feeling sad or anxious! Good work! Your daughter is terrific-getting those penalties and donating them!!! Fantastic thought process!
I have only been working, nothing much else. I saw mom from the patio and I think I posted her picture. She is so sweet.
I have figured out why I'm so behind at work. On the days I used to go in (Tuesdays and Fridays), I stayed late, usually til 7 or 8. Now I finish each day at five except for Fridays, because Happy Hour starts at 3
Our company issued a very thoughtful email on the death of George Floyd and has put its money where its mouth is with a pledge of $50,000 each year for at least the next four years to a charity. I forget which one but in the vein of social justice. Other initiatives are also taking place. I mentioned that my donation to the NAACP Empowerment Fund wasn't eligible for a match and the CEO forwarded it to the head of our charitable foundation so she rectified that immediately. In an odd twist of fate, the person who heads up our foundation is the last person I hugged. So long ago. First week of March.
One of my close friends had testified before the legislature about being the parent of African American boys (she is Black, her late husband was white) and she told our CEO about this and he called her for more information and hence the announcement from the board. It took them only a few hours.
We can, from now through Labor Day, take one day a week to help fight racism. I'm pumped. I am deeply involved with my neighbors and I'm glad I'll be able to do more to support them on a community basis rather than just on a personal level.
I have not a lot to show for myself here. I did change my sheets yesterday and I did one load of laundry today. Now that everyone's home full time, I do find that doing laundry in the afternoon makes more sense.
Not a lot to report here. BF seems worried.

A hot, slow paced, but otherwise okay day here. Last night roommate's bunny boy started having his tummy trouble again, so I was getting medicine into him and planning on sleeping on the couch to be able to check on him in the night. Then he started nibbling hay. Was fine by morning.
I did sleep on the couch, but didn't keep track of the time too well and it was 2:00 a.m. all of a sudden and I was still on my tablet. Ooops... so a little tired today from less sleep and the heat. It's in the upper 90s here. Tuesday they say it will only be in the 80s. Hope they're right.
Glad you had an enjoyable shopping trip, Tillie. I can picture those cute kiddos. :) And you in your dress and hat feeling confident - that's fantastic. I sometimes think about wearing casual dresses for everyday - it might feel good in a way. I haven't for a long time, so if I did, I'd need to get used to it!
Right now, though, I'm in my shorts, tank top, and flip flops. My roommate got up and walked the dog in the morning, which she switches to doing when the weather gets hot. She is off post-op restriction now, so I don't have to go unless I want to. She said they had a nice walk of over a mile.
I remember when worry dolls were popular in the late 80s-early 90s. It's a good idea, putting worries on something and then letting go of it. Post-it notes could also work.
Are you enjoying "Dark Shadows: The Beginning?"? We are up in the 60s episode number-wise. Only time for 1-4 episodes a night, usually 2 or 3. Still, we're a quarter of the way back to where the Barnabas Collins episodes begin at 200-something.
My computer is still having problems being laggy. Today it even has had moments of being slow when I type. I am hoping to research what might help. Need to see when this model was issued, that would be a starting point. The computer shop is open since people are working from home.
SubC, that's a great idea your daughter's company had about donating the safety fines. I'd have liked to see the look on the sub's face, LOL.
Tillie, that's so cool about your dad wiring the space shuttle launch panels. You honestly could write a book about your life. I'd read it!
Did a couple small-medium laundry loads.
Scratched off some finished items from the household To-Do list, some of which were joint projects with roommate and others just my stuff. I rewrote the remaining items onto a fresh list, and I'm also putting a few of my decluttering in my room to-do items in a list on my phone app. Those are the ongoing decluttering things or ideas for rearranging in my room, is why they're temporarily separate from the other list. Should be quick projects then I'll delete them as I go.
The protests aren't making me feel panicky as much - I hope it's obvious in what you know about me that I'm a behind-the-scenes type. I would rather pray and talk to people quietly and support those who I think are doing something positive, than go out in public in big crowds not knowing what might happen. I was bullied in school and physical confrontation scares the crap out of me. I suppose I have PTSD from it.
Anyhow, my baseline anxiety level has lowered to tolerable. What I was experiencing when I wanted to buy all the colored markers and maybe several dolls the other day, that feeling is now going away. I know. I'm a nut with sometimes poor coping skills, and I don't mean to make light of the bigger issues. I feel them very deeply. And sometimes I desire to escape, and I feel guilty because I CAN escape and a lot of folks can't. I just was in a rather frantic state of mind.
I haven't taken the evening xanax dose yesterday or today, which I had been doing in the extraordinary circumstance. Yesterday I did have that Zoom appointment with my doctor, which I had kind of dreaded but it went reasonably well. I set up the laptop in the bunny pen, and she asked to see my bunnies so I held them up. And she is agreeable to another step down of that side effect laden antidepressant which I've been eager to ditch if I possibly can - slowly. The pharmacy is processing the order for lower dose pills.
Hope Twinkles enjoys his spa treatment.
I won't tell anyone about your illegal liquor bottle upcycling, SubC. ROTFL!

YEA! for that uphill hike up the road!
I once made the mistake of planting a few Daisies in my garden. They took over! Pretty but too "energetic".
Did you take any time to play in the creek? I would have, ;D
WTG! for taking care of the paper mail! I didn't get any mail today. No news is good news.
Spent time twice today working on Twinkles fur. Looks pretty good unless you check out his belly because he won't allow me to work on his belly. :p

Took care of the paper mail. Walked it up to the road and now I need another drink of water (it is two tenths of a mile round trip, and up hill both ways ;) there's a creek in the middle)
On the way back I picked some daisies. They grow wild here. We picked so many for my dd's wedding 4 years ago! Today I put them in my kitchen in a fancy old liquor bottle that belonged to my great grandmother, even though It's molded right into the bottle that it's a violation of federal law to reuse it. Just feeling like a rebel today.

Bet that shower was refreshing. I remember how in Michigan we'd take a shower just to dry off from all the humidity. LOL
Enjoy the rest of the day. :D
Was out to start watering the trees but saw the Lilacs were whining to be watered first. So did that and am now slowly watering the trees.
Need to rest up and cool off from being outside. Soon the Twinkles project will begin.

So nice of twinkles to give you a little project.
It is only in the Upper 80s here, but the humidity is awful.
I took 4 nice long water breaks and quit at noon - weeded and planted 4 tomato plants.
Then I had a shower, ate lunch, and took care of some email.
Now I need to take care of some real mail and then either tidy up or get into a project.

Good Morning Everybody
Hi Subclinical Very glad you are feeling better today. Don't over do outside when it starts getting too hot. Take care of yourself with lots of cool rests even when working indoors.
Construction work can be extremely dangerous. My father, an electrician worked construction. He wired the computer control panels for the space shuttle launch pad. :D
Going to be another 100 degree day and then we are predicted to have a cool spell. Today the trees need watering and Twinkles needs some serious brushing. He has spent a lot of time laying out in the brush under the sage bushes getting all matted up with sticks & twigs.

Construction is scary. Dd worries about her guys all the time.
They had one subcontractor who kept getting fined for safety violations and when they were negotiating the next contract, the guy in charge was complaining about all the fines. The guy from dd's company told him "we just want you to be safe" and the other guy said "I don't believe you, these restrictions are impossible. You just want to make extra money off us" So dd's guy put in the contract that any money collected in safety fines would be donated to a charity. I love dd's company.
I feel better today. Outside work planned for the morning, then inside when it gets hot.

Hi Subclinical The boys are 10 and under! ;D Yes, a group of boys is always fun.
Glad you are feeling a little better and WTG! for laundry and dishes!
Native Americans have something like your three post it notes. They are called "Worry Dolls". I make them with a match stick thick stick about one inch long. Dress them in tiny bits of cloth with strands of yarn or fuzz for the hair. Paint/draw a face on them. Make them as plain or as fancy as you want. Then you tell your worries to a doll, bury the doll and allow it to do the worrying for you so you can attend to the things you can actually do something about.
I have a group of Worry Dolls in my dollhouse, only dolls I have. ;)
When trying to decide on what to eat this next week I settled on sandwiches of all kinds. Just had a delicious one. Dill rye bread Swiss cheese Cotto salami Avocado and tomato slices

Oh Tillie! I wish I could see you with your hat in your go-to-town dress.
Six boys! How wonderful. I always loved it when my son was growing up and my house was full of boys. But I hope they aren't really all babies! Poor momma!
I felt a little better - still very tired, and did two loads of wash and a load of dishes.
I have 18 post it notes left. The post it notes are not My "to do" list, they are the things I am stressed about. So sone if them are "to fo" and some of them are a whole bunch of things to do, and at least three are things that are basically unpredictable/out of my control.
Those three are Mom, school in the fall, and getting to see my grandson.
I am trying to do something to improve at least one of the others every day, and then not think about them.

Hi CriticalMass YEA! for getting your shopping done!
Please just "shop at home". Play with the dolls you have. Organize your art supplies. Do what Subclinical suggests. Rest, get lots of sleep, do some cooking. Spend quality time with the Fur Babies. Plot and plan for your Roommate's new quarantine routine.
Fight through the urge to shop by doing good wholesome productive things at home. (((HUG)))
Hi Subclinical Hope you are feeling better and spending lots of time sitting and sipping water. :)
Hot out there but beat the heat when I went early to the store. Same as last time with very few people, glad they have that hour a week for only old people. Got to see a dear Friend and we even hugged because we just had to, it was emotional. She has the 6 most gorgeous little dark brown Hispanic baby boys.
Last time I went to this WallyWorld the shelves were almost stocked up back to normal. But I think this week of marches has interfered with shipments from Sacramento/Oakland area. There was an awful lot of empty shelf space, again. But they did have very nice avocados for 25 cents each.
I wore my best go to town dress and my straw hat that has a scarf tied around it. People actually stopped me to tell me how lovely I looked. Made me feel good about myself, which is rare.

Good morning.
I feel absolutely awful today. My dd and my Dh say it's letdown from the stress/adrenaline withdrawal. My legs are weak and shaky, my head aches, and my stomach is queasy.
There are many things I want to do/have done around the house and especially in the barn, but for right now my plan is to sit around sipping water.
Tatoulia, I love the picture of your mom on the patio. Such a spot of brightness and cheer.
Tillie, I hope you get your groceries smoothly.
CM, maybe you can find a spot for pretty/fun things you already have in your room. Can you clear off just a little piece of shelf and set up a scene with your barbies or a vignette of crafty things for inspiration? When they were doing construction on my house, the vibrations made dirt fall from the rafters onto everything and there was so much dust kicked up. I covered everything in the basement with sheets. When I cleaned up, it was nice to actually leave the sheets on for a while and just see the one small space where I was creating order. Maybe you could do something like that to reduce the visual clutter.

I think the stress is making me want to buy lots of pretty and fun things, though. Feeling cooped up, literally or symbolically, is not a good thing for me. It's what got me going nuts for Barbies in 2018.

YEA! you get to actually get to visit her tomorrow!!!
That will be so good when you can have real visits. Sorry you won't get to see your little Sister (((HUG)))
WTG! for doing laundry and saving some to do tomorrow. I already washed my new things and those pillowcases bring back memories of my Granma's linens. The line dried smell, the feel of the quality cotton and the beautiful embellishments. I always pick them up whenever I see them in the thrift shop. These two were 2.50 but were 1/2 price so only cost 1.25 today, not even a dollar each. And they are in mint condition.
Had to water the garden this evening, the heat had everything wilted. Tomorrow I plan to grocery shop. Not out of cat cans and cat snax yet but want to make sure to have enough to last. Plus I need fresh produce and some kind of food for me. Planning to be there early when it's just old people and still not hot out.

Yay for the garbage !!! You are working really hard!!
Tillie!!! What a great day you had! Well done! I would absolutely love those pillowcases. They sound very sweet.
Other than mailing postcards, I didn't leave the house today. Too humid.
I did one load of unmentionables and one load of mentionables. Didn't change my sheets. Will do tomorrow.

CriticalMass I soooooo want to hold and hug that big white Bunny!!! :D Those flowers are gorgeous.
I almost always take the lesser known/traveled back country roads. Mainly anything to avoid that deadly highway.
WTG! Bunny boy for feeling better! My sister had a horse that was always getting colic and those times were always stressful and painful to see the horse suffer.
Relieved you didn't have much going on there last night (((HUG)))
Stay safe and stay healthy :D
Hi Tatoulia Enjoy your little load of laundry :D
It got hot here early but it's getting hotter still.
Got my water bottled filled. The hospital auxiliary thrift shop was open, only one car parked out front. They request people wear face masks and have hand sanitizer placed all around. I felt it was safe to be in there. I had a BLAST!!! ;D bought a 7 inch tall ceramic Tardis a wonderful tea towel with Owls all over it a pretty pink washcloth two embroidered vintage pillow cases with crocheted trim. a pretty white blouse "The Revenant" DVD A massive 3 wick scented pillar candle a jar Yankee candle Yankee votive candle 2 hand crafted tapers another cinnamon scented jar candle
Was so much fun to do that and the social distancing was great. Plus it was nice to talk to a few humans. Last night Steven was ranting that I should pack heat when going into town which is ridiculous. It is VERY peaceful out here.
I put the ceramic Tardis in my garden with the Chrysanthemums.

Boy bunny is back on track, yay! He has had worse episodes than this. One thing I'm realizing is that he does take longer to come out of the episodes. But some of my bunnies in the past also did, I just remembered yesterday.
With this little guy it just requires patient nursing and diligent observation to do everything we can once he's back to normal to keep him balanced. I'm wondering if we can give him some probiotics - but the trick is getting them through the stomach acids to the intestines. Our bunny club gal had one trick I need to talk to her more about.
Congratulations SubC on the twins and that you got a nice girl baby to keep. :)
Tatoulia, yes, she is going to board the doggie because normally he would want to sleep on her bed and won't be able to, and some other reasons I can't recall. He will enjoy and get lots of exercise, too, so win win. We've been making sure he's up to date on shots for that.
The cats will have to make do with me. I pray they can also coexist peacefully with one another! And of course I'll be taking care of all bunnies and the fish as well.
I'm glad things were relatively peaceful in Boston. Wichita had some more trouble at that spot a couple miles from me but I have no need to go that way for an indefinite time. I can go to other library branches if I need the library.
The Newmarket Square shopping center and the Dillon's across had protestors but it was mostly peaceful. Around 10:00 there were rumblings but sounds like nothing major and people mostly dispersed by 11:00.
I am going to go that way cautiously, I think, in just awhile, since it's payday and I'd planned to. I'll have my list, get in get out, be aware of surroundings, etc.
One crazy advantage of being an agoraphobic driver: I have awareness of lots of side street routes for when the big streets are more trafficky than I like! So I can use that knowledge to my advantage in situations such as this.
But like I say, I'm not going to meander around like I might ordinarily. And I'll keep track of the time. This morning has been full of interruptions; I would've preferred to get away sooner, but I think I'll still have plenty of time.
I just checked on Facebook and saw that my childhood neighborhood friend, Sgt. Yarberry, has indeed retired from the police force. I'm relieved. Such an officer of integrity, and a good man. Don't want him to have served so long only for something bad to happen right before he could retire.
There's been so much news I haven't said as much lately about decluttering goals, only mentioning them in passing. But I do still have them and intend to pursue them! ;)
I put a big white bunny from the shelter and a few new flowers on IG to keep everyone's spirits up.
OK, if I'm going to do this, I better get going. I'll be sure and check back in when I get home.

Most all day yesterday everywhere was huge crowds of peaceful people marching through the streets. Happy you had your favorite officer stationed near you. So many police taking a knee in support and doing gentle crowd control. There were very moving speeches given by people in the crowds. I am happy your Mom got to see the well behaved protest march and you were all safe.
I believe the news reporters were wanting to report more than just the peaceful protests and were looking hard for the agitators. But I want us all to keep focus on the positive movement for change. :D
Going to town to fill the water bottles before it gets up to 95 degrees today. TTYL

Congratulations on the twins, SubC!!!!! Wow!!!! And I'm so proud of you and your post it notes!!! WTG for finding a good system!!!!! I hope the gardening can help lift your mother's spirits even a little bit.
Cm, glad Bunny is getting the proper medication. I do think that your roommate's treatment will go well. She will just have to be diligent in following the diet (very easy and very healthy) and then be sure to keep toothbrush and other objects out of shared spaces. She must close the toilet before flushing it, and she must flush as much of her stuff as possible. Do you have any plans for the animals? I am admittedly not up to date so you may have told us. Could you refresh my memory?
Tillie I am keeping the faith! Last night was weird because it felt like the media was trying to stir up trouble. It feels weird even saying that. There was a lot of police activity by me but that was shootings and unrelated to the protest. Our protests were great and peaceful. And we got to see one of my all time favorite police officers Kim Tavares. She was outside, taking a knee, eventually got all the officers to take a knee. She's so great. Look her up. She's a singer and she's terrific in every way.
BF closed his shop but stayed in it til around 10 PM. I wanted him to come here but instead he stayed at work and had the police scanner on and we watched tv together over the phone. He eventually went home. My mom called around 9 to say there were hundreds of people by her place and they looked like nice people and they were well behaved.
I have a lot to do today. I'm not doing laundry because that distracts me from my work. I may do a bit I'm the afternoon.
Tillie I think I'll take down the pictures of the boarded up places. I just wanted you to see them. I don't think they have any other purpose so I will be deleting.

Hi CriticalMass
Well, if you don't go to the store tomorrow that's alright. I believe in a few more days things should level out and become more predictable. The new , new "normal".
Hope Bunny's tummy is better and he's eating without prompting (((HUG)))
Tomorrow morning I plan to go to town and fill my water bottles. The county health website has added one more covid19 infection, bringing our total up to 7.
Watching "Dark Shadows, the beginning" tonight.

Happy for your mom with her flowers, SubC. And wtg on 5 post it notes gone! *applause*
Tillie, I know what you mean about the tiny shoes, though I think they are in more danger of me stepping on one than anything. Wherever they went when they dropped must be out of sight. Irony is that one of them I found some months ago after it had been lost, then soon afterward I dropped it again and couldn't find it! 😜 Plus our kitties are usually pretty obvious when they find a surprise toy. Heh heh.🐱
I've got some art pieces and some blank paper for future use to go through. I think one doll shoe may turn up as I do that. If I can avoid stepping on it!
Tomorrow will be... interesting. Targets closed down at 4:00 today. We have two older malls, Towne East & Towne West. East closed early as well. They have had security issues for a long time.
Then there is the further out, more upscale and busy west end area, Newmarket Square. Target, Walmart, and other big box retailers, restaurants, etc. There have been threats on social media re that center, and several stores and restaurants there closed early too.
The big Dillon's grocery on the corner across from it was where my roommate wants to go sometime, but we don't have to right away. I had been thinking a few days ago of stopping by there and Newmarket tomorrow. Plans may change... if I check the news and it seems safe, I will not dawdle.
Otherwise, more quarantine, and if I can stay calm, perhaps some decluttering and catching up focus in the time at home. Maybe even art, writing, and sewing.
And praying for everyone's safety, for healing, for solutions.

CM, I hope the bunny feels better quickly!
I will have to find my links and go see all these pictures!
I got rid of FIVE post it notes today and one was the evaluations. They are all turned in!
Today Dad drove Mom to the Little local nursery where she always gets her spring impatiens for the flower beds. It is outdoors and there were three other women there, all wearing masks. Mom got her wagon (wiped the handle) and used it to block off The whole row. Then she carried her flats over to it and started to pull it to the counter, but the girl waved her off and said "load first, then come pay" because she was wiping the counter. So mom loaded, paid, sanitized and rode home. She said she was very shaky by the end of it, but it was good to get away from the house.
Tomorrow is my busy day away from the house - recycling drop and clean my classroom.

Good Evening Everybody
Hello CriticalMass
Glad Bunny has his tummy medicine.
We can only plan day by day with the country as it is. Your errands can be put off and anybody would understand why. You need to put your peace of mind and physical safety first.
How about considering driving to a grocery store a little farther out? They may also have a better selection of foods Roommate needs to get.
Hummmm..... Tiny little missing Barbie shoes..... Maybe, just maybe, and I am not pointing any fingers but they would be perfect toys to bat around and stick under furniture and appliances. ;)
Yes, George's funeral is planned for the ninth. But we sure don't know when things will settle down. When all four of those police involved in his death are properly charged and arrested and put in jail, maybe then? But there are so many other police murders that have yet to be addressed. :(

We got the medicine no trouble. Gave bunny a dose. He's about the same, no worse. Ate a sprig of cilantro. Just have to hover over him and make sure he eats something regularly, till he starts eating on his own again.
We'd started watching some of our nightly Dark Shadows back in the bunny room and at first this little guy was nervous but then he seemed okay. We kept the volume down. But he could be sensitive to some frequency... have to monitor that. But he is one to get gas in his tummy now and then. Just his body's little quirk.
Well, today was supposed to be the day to catch up from yesterday's delays and sidetracks... sigh. But if bunny does better I shan't complain. Tomorrow is my payday and I normally do a few errands, but between everything going on I may just do most of it differently.
This morning I was neatening my Barbies and their little shoes and things. A couple shoes are missing but I know they dropped somewhere in my room. Put each pair or single in a little ziplock bag. I store the shoes most of the time precisely because they're so tiny and come off and get lost. My dollies don't mind going barefoot around the house, heehee.
On a more serious note, sure do hope the streets and shops will be safe soon. My roommate has to start that low iodine diet the 12th. She'll have to grocery shop for things the diet allows. George Floyd's funeral is on the 9th. Who knows. The people who get violent don't care about the myriad ripple effects.

Hi CriticalMass No need to apologize that wasn't really a rant anyways. Just you telling us what's going on in your life today. (((HUG)))
Wishing Bunny to get well soon.
Just make sure to run any shopping errands early in the day and be safe home long before sundown. Nearest rioting to me is about 80 miles away.
Good luck with the zoom appointment. I'm sure she knows well that you all are experiencing a lot more stress these days.
Hung sheets out on the line and got a skeeter bite for my efforts. :(

Target stores closed early here last night. I understand they, CVS, and Walmart have had closings around the country in the hot spots.
Also learned about 2 miles from here is an area where crowds gather in the evenings and that gets scary.
Roommate's little bunny guy having tummy trouble again so we have to go pick up meds. I can probably find a little traveled route to take. One advantage of living here my whole life.
Sorry for the vent; promise I'll make a better post later. Stay safe all.

Good Morning Everybody "Clink!"
Hello Subclinical WAY TO GO! knocking out those evaluations!
Have fun shouting to the other Teacher at the school tomorrow.
So sorry your Mom is fretting about things months away and feeling like a prisoner. Best if we only focus on things day by day and let the future come as it will. (((HUG)))
Darn! that Fox has your Chickens on the menu again! :( Wishing you all the best of luck getting rid of it.
Hi Tatoulia Thank you for posting the photos. I especially enjoyed the sleeping kitty and the wedding.
Today I plan to do some laundry and wash my hair. Supposed to get into the upper 80s with some clouds and no rain.

I talked to my mom for a while yesterday. She sounds depressed. It worries me. I think she feels like she is under house arrest with a shoot to kill guard outside. She is already mourning Christmas activities and visits. I tried to get her to just focus on June.
I did extra evaluations yesterday! I have 12 left. I am going to do them today! (Evaluations take 15-30 minutes each) I also have a couple of things to email kids about and a few loose ends to tie up for one class. Plus I need to turn in my reimbursable forms for spring.
Tomorrow I signed up for 4 hours to clean out my classroom. There is only one other teacher signed up during the first two hours, and I want to talk down the hall at her. Our rooms are on different ends of the same floor.
The fox come back yesterday. I chased it off when I saw it, but I am missing a chicken. If the fox would just settle for rabbits and groundhogs we could be such good friends....

Good Night Tatoulia Sleep soundly (((HUG)))
The President has ordered cities to have police and national guard stop it before it has a chance to start tonight.
It is already better tonight by disbursing the crowds at curfew.

Going to bed. I posted some pictures. I hear the helicopters. Don't know what that means. I do know that the city is bracing for tomorrow night. I just don't want BF's office to get looted and scare that old cat. He could come here but he gets agitated and is happier at work.

Good Afternoon
The cloud cover has kept it very pleasant here today.
Got the kitchen cleaned after I did some cooking and tea brewing.
Watered the garden and am almost finished watering the grass.
Have been watching "Hoarders" and "Dark Shadows, The Beginning" today. Hope none of you are watching much news. Please just watch enough to know what's going on in your areas and then turn it off.

Good To see you all this morning!
Hi CriticalMass Our library just opened today but it's by appointment only. Most all libraries are not bothering with any over due fees. YEA! the brakes are under warranty. Hope the stuck caliper is a cheap fix. I never got any of that stimulus money :(
Hi Subclinical Glad your family was not in the mess of the protests. YEA! for planting & weed pulling. Good luck with the evaluations.
Hi Tatoulia You made me laugh out loud with how Lord & Taylor was personal for you. :D The looters and vandals in Boston were mainly staying where the shops were and leaving all else alone.
Some cities were hit a lot harder because militarized anarchists and white supremists were coming into these cities in stolen vehicles loaded up with fire bombs. These criminals did not live in these cities but came to cause trouble. They distributed flyers to try to recruit more people to riot. So many I saw arrested were white. Many in the black uniforms of the anarchists. They would set their abandoned stolen cars on fire to try to destroy any evidence of their well planned attack.
But all over the country there were huge peaceful marches with peaceful people protesting. These are the people who speak for me.
Nice overcast cool day here. Plan to water some things and clean the kitchen.
