Hello all, my name is Shannon and I am desparate for help for my Aunt Terry who has hoarded for decades. Her home is none like I've ever seen, not on ANY show on television. Her home is full of dog feces and urine, everything in the home is rotted from water damage that occurred over a decade ago when the home flooded. The ceiling and walls are caving in, mildew and black mold cover every inch of the home. Just discussing it brings me to tears. Her health is declining and has been for many years, and I know that the filth is definity the biggest contributor to the decline in her health status. I am lost and don't know what to do. If I call Social Sevices, the house will be condemed, and well, it needs to be, but, I am her only family. I don't have the room to move her in to my home, especially with this horrible disease. I have a one year old whom can't be exposed to such living conditions. I have tried to help her, offerted to clean out the refridgerator that sits outside on the carport, being that the carport is the only space left to put it. But the look on her face at even the mention of disguarding rotten food...you can see the stress begin to take over, she can't even speak without stuttering when presented with throwing something away. She is going to die in there, no one will ever know. Need advice, help, anything before it's too late. Everything, everything in her home is rotted, falling apart, she sleeps in a rotted chair at night, climbs through the broken glass window to enter and exit her home. I'm telling you, it is the absolute worst case of hoarding i have ever seen, and I don't know what to do, how to even approach her...
