Welcome Pixie :)

The best way to get an idea of what a company would charge is to have them come by and give you an estimate.
There are so many things they need to consider and it needs to be a case by case evaluation of what all would be involved.

Happy you have been reading here and finally coming forward. :D

Every little thing you do get done is a step in the right direction. :)

Hi All!

I've been visiting this board off and on for about 6 months or so and figured I should say hello.

I do love reading other posts that sound almost just like me, or my mother, or my recently deceased sister (who's hoard I was left to deal with). After that experience, it really has made me not only want to get my place, my life, in some kind of order, but also to start throwing things out. Unfortunately.....the body isn't cooperating with the mind's desire. Physically, I am limited in how much I can do due to a rare disease....but still trying.

I think the best option for me (if it's feasible) is to have a cleaning company come in and help me organize and dump....and do a deep cleaning. Luckily, I am not a major shopper, so I don't bring a lot of things into my house, but I must say I stink at getting rid of what I already have. It's at the extremely overwhelming point for me now....and I can't stand it, so hoping the posts, and suggestions I've been reading on this board can give me a boost.

For those that have ever had a company come in a do a deep cleaning/de-hoarding/re-organizing, or have gotten quotes.....about how much do these places charge? I haven't been able to get a idea of what price range.

I'm glad that the weather has finally gotten nice hear on the East coast....makes it much easier to actually do some cleaning. I was able to get a number of things accomplished yesterday and last night, but as usual, it's taking it's toll today. Seems to be my common theme.....One step forward, three steps back.

I'm hoping to make a chat group sometime as well.

Pixie
