It is possible!
Hoarding in not OCD, it is a separate diagnosis.
People with hoarding disorder often find things getting worse with grief, depression and/or some other of life's detours.

Have you thought you might have OCD? My daughter asks while we make plans to come help me this Saturday. Well, so far there's GAD, CPTSD, ADHD, depression doesn't have an acronym. If it did it would be SAD ha!
I did well for about ten years. Then I unexpectedly lost my husband of 4 years. It took me 50 years to find him. We moved to a new state because I got a promotion and he was retired.
He got very depressed and the new job was toxic.
I have a good job not great but I am grateful.
My kids are in different states. I moved into a smaller apartment.
I keep spending. EBay & Amazon. Crafts, boxes unopened,falling from losing my balance.
I can't vacuum my furniture or floors because stuff is everywhere.
I have accumulated too much too soon and I don't have space to set anything up. I am in debt. I want to get a grip on this before it creates chaos.
I came here wondering if I can learn to help myself.
