😕 Hi guys! Recently I got back in touch with my maternal grandmother. During a conversation that we had she asked me to send her a birthday card and an XMas card each year. Simple right?? Wrong! The thing is that my grandmother has over the years collected art projects and school assignments of mine going back to my early childhood. Thing is her reason for keeping that stuff is so that I can have it after she passes on. I'm actually reluctant to make her anything other than an e-card because of this. Besides that I don't want all that stuff! Awhile back she sent me a box of old VHS tapes. There were about fifty videos in there {and fyi I evicted them pretty quickly}! Is there a possibility that she has hoarding tendencies?? 😕 | |

There is the possibility that your grandmother is a hoarder or maybe not. Her ability to send you the box of VHS tapes tells me that she is able to part with items she thought you may enjoy. If she were a hoarder she would struggle with parting of items. If you send her a card twice a year, she gets the pleasure of hearing from you. If eventually she leaves or sends them to you, you have the choice of disposing of them as you wish or keeping them as you wish. Don't get so worked up about it. | |
