Hi everyone!
Today I actually started cleaning. I was supposed to start last night but after I had taken and uploaded photos, all I wanted to do was watch something and go to bed.
So today, I went online and hired two guys to come over and fix my pipes and water heater. I then realized "oh no, they have to come inside!" .. I had 30 minutes to make it somewhat presentable. So I swept the back bedroom and hallway, and put the large pile of trash and stuff into the second bedroom and closed the door. I then mopped the hallway. I put a baby gate at the start of the hallway to keep the dogs out of that area. I told the men to come through the back door (which is located in the hallway) so they could get to my bedroom where the water heater was. While they were doing their work, i cleaned up the trash in the bathroom and swept and mopped the floor as well. So now I have less work to do. I am hoping to start cleaning up the living room and kitchen tonight... but I am not going to force myself to, just if I get inspired and motivated to!

Hi Jennifer,

What a great start!! You skipped baby steps and jumped right in! Having people in for repairs and getting cleaning done at the same time is a HUGE WTG!!!

Re: your post in the other section, adopting out over 100 cats in a year is tremendous work! Congratulations! I can see why people who know you would want you to continue. Can you tell them you need a break for awhile? Since you not bonded with the 3 dogs you are fostering it will be easier to let them go too.

Of course keep your sweet Papillon. 🙂 I totally get that parent/child relationship with a pet.

Lots of people can't afford therapy/meds. It's a tremendous help to have this site to come to and get our motivation with others who understand and can cheer us on.

I'm so happy to hear of your progress! 🙂
