I'm new here. I have been in a relationship for 9 months. I should of ran when I saw the first red flag..his car. I want to walk away but fear this will cause more harm and put him him a depressive spiral. I learned ultimatiums don't work. He will always choose his stuff first. | |

If you are going to seriously consider a relationship with this person, ask yourself if you can stand to live in their home like it is for the rest of your life, because there is no cure. I don't want you to go into the relationship thinking, "I could clean up just a bit here and there" because it will most likely cause arguments and stress. | |

It's was too hard being married to a hoarder. Divorced for 7 years now and I definitely feel FREE. I have hoarders in my family (brothers and an aunt) and it's difficult understanding the hoard and they keep buying and picking up stuff. Think TWICE getting into this relationship | |

Go. It is SO not worth it. You will always come second to his stuff. It will take over your space and home and sanity and will strangle the life out of you. | |
