First time doing this. I hate when people have to come inside house to read the meter. I am married and feel paralyzed with clutter around.
Lately I am up at all hours because husband is retired and on computer all day so if I want to use the computer I stay up at night. My life is
insane. He uses computer for TV or writing or
just avoidance of me probably. I look for part time work and when I get it then I am out of the house. The way I am treated by him is a trigger.
He is a perfectionist and when he ridicules me it just sets me off. I called him a bully yesterday. Oct 1, I would be married 40 years,
no children. Right now no happiness. I was not
a hoarder always.

Where are you guys located? We have resources all over the United States, but they do charge for their services. Do you have the ability to pay for the help?

i need help i m 21 i live with my mom in a 2bed room town house my mom is a hoarder we have mice,roches we have a section eight inspection comeing out on 2/15/11 i don't know if we are going to pass i feel hopless,overwelmed she says she is not a hoarder if any one knows any one that can come in and help me i would be very grateful

I too am in the same position. Currently staying at my parents. I live in an apartment though. It's only a matter of time before my landlord finds out and I'll be evicted...for the second time. I'm terrified. My parents want to help but we don't even know where to start. I want to have someone go in and help me clean but then for sure my landlord will see what's going on. I'm so scared and lost.

Carol, You aren't alone. I understand the tiredness. It's kind of a vicious cycle, I need energy to clean and organize but then the mess seems to sap all my energy. I don't know where to start. I don't want to keep a lot of the stuff. I live in a small home and just don't know how to organize, especially the paper such as old bills - I'm afraid I'll throw away something essential since junk is mixed in with really important stuff. You will get some great advice as well from the professionals on the discussion as well as people that have figured out how to manage their hoarding disorder. i have so much i cant get into my house i have to stay with friends and family i dont know what to do but i need time to get it together its not enough time in a day i feel tired and sometimes i feel 16 i need a boost i need some one to talk to
